Research on the Production of Risk Maps on Cut Slope Using Weather Information and Adaboost Model (기상정보와 Adaboost 모델을 이용한 깎기비탈면 위험도 지도 개발 연구)

  • Recently, there have been many natural disasters in Korea, not only in forest areas but also in urban areas, and the national requirements for them are increasing. In particular, there is no pre-disaster information system that can systematically manage the collapse of the slope of the national highway. In this study, big data analysis was conducted on the factors causing slope collapse based on the detailed investigation report on the slope collapse of national roads in Gangwon-do and Gyeongsang-do areas managed by the Cut Slope Management System (CSMS) and the basic survey of slope failures. Based on the analysis results, a slope collapse risk prediction model was established through Adaboost, a classification-based machine learning model, reflecting the collapse slope location and weather information. It also developed a visualization map for the risk of slope collapse, which is a visualization program, to show that it can be used for preemptive disaster prevention measures by identifying the risk of slope due to changes in weather conditions.

  • How can a regulatory policy to address potential hazards be made legitimate in the face of scientific uncertainty? The precautionary principle has been gradually regarded as the most persuasive answer to this intricate question in Europe since the 1970s and generally recognized as a guiding principle in international environmental law. This principle, however, has often been subject to diverse concerns and criticisms due to its vague definition. This article tries to elaborate the precautionary principle while reviewing both the validity and unreasonableness of these criticisms over this principle. Then, this article explores the policy relevance of this principle by applying this elaborated definition to the concrete case of risk governance such as the risk assesment of food safety. In the end, this paper emphasizes the fact that the precautionary principle can be applied in the field of risk governance, refuting the argument that the precautionary principle is only a moral attitude or a political position.

  • 영상은 동적인 시각 이미지와 청각의 결합에 의해 감성적인 반응을 유도한다. 다양한 영상 기법을 통하여 감성적 반응의 극대화를 추구하는 영화는 영상의 시청각적 요소들을 감성의 관점에서 효과적으로 설계하는데 본보기가 된다. 그러나, 제품의 설계속성들에 대한 감성적 평가결과를 모형화하는 감성공학적 관점에서 볼 때 영화는 시청각적 자극의 수준이 극히 다양하고 동적인 경험재로 모형화의 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 영화의 감성 모형을 구축하기 위한 사전연구의 단계로 영화에서의 시청각적 요인들을 문헌조사를 통해 수집, 정리, 선별하고 이러한 시청각적 요인들 중에 영화를 관람하는 관객의 감성적, 인지적 반응에 영향을 주는 유효한 요인들을 객관적이고 체계적으로 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 감성 및 인지적 반응의 변화를 생체신호를 통해 측정하는 한편, 생체신호의 측정 시 사용된 영화의 시청각적 자극요인을 Video/Audio Processing방법에 의해 연속적인 수치로 정량화하였다. 생체신호와 정량화된 시청각적 자극요인을 동기화하고 통계적으로 분석함으로써, 생체신호의 반응과 시청각적 자극요인과의 인과관계를 통계적으로 신뢰성있는 수준에서 검증하고자 하였다. 생체신호를 종속변수로, 시청각적 자극요인을 독립변수로 하는 896개의 부분선형회귀모형(Partial Linear Regression Model)들 중 통계적으로 유의한 선형관계에 있는 경우의 빈도분석에 의하면, 시각적 요인들 중에는 밝기(Brightness), 대비(Contrast), 색상(Color), 움직임(Motion), 장면전환속도(Shot change Rate), 주요대상의 상대적 크기가, 청각적 요인들 중에는 Peak주파수, Peak주파수의 음량, 평균음량, 소음비(Sound-to-Noise Ratio)가 생체신호의 변화에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이는, 위의 시청각적 자극 요인들은 특히 관객의 감성 및 인지적인 반응에 유의한 영향을 주는 요소로 작용할 수 있음을 시사하고 있다. 이를 토대로, 위의 시청각적 자극 요인들이 가지는 다양한 조합들을 설명변수로 하는 통계적인 영화의 감성 모형을 구축할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Movie Recommended System base on Analysis for the User Review utilizing Ontology Visualization (온톨로지 시각화를 활용한 사용자 리뷰 분석 기반 영화 추천 시스템)

  • Recently, researches for the word of mouth(WOM) imply that consumers use WOM informations of products in their purchase process. This study suggests methods using opinion mining and visualization to understand consumers' opinion of each goods and each markets. For this study we conduct research that includes developing domain ontology based on reviews confined to "movie" category because people who want to have watching movie refer other's movie reviews recently, and it is analyzed by opinion mining and visualization. It has differences comparing other researches as conducting attribution classification of evaluation factors and comprising verbal dictionary about evaluation factors when we conduct ontology process for analyzing. We want to prove through the result if research method will be valid. Results derived from this study can be largely divided into three. First, This research explains methods of developing domain ontology using keyword extraction and topic modeling. Second, We visualize reviews of each movie to understand overall audiences' opinion about specific movies. Third, We find clusters that consist of products which evaluated similar assessments in accordance with the evaluation results for the product. Case study of this research largely shows three clusters containing 130 movies that are used according to audiences'opinion.

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 문헌정보학 분야의 연구 논문 중 이용자 관련 연구 논문 125편을 대상으로 논문에 부여된 주제어간의 연결 관계를 분석 하였다. 사전 작업을 통하여 정리된 226개의 주제어에 대한 연결 관계를 네트워크 분석을 통하여 분석하고 시각화 하였다. 그래프를 통하여 주제어간 연결 강도를 확인하였고, 다른 주제어와 연결성이 높은 상위 20개의 주제어를 제시하였다. 주제어간 근접성이 높은 주제어를 군집화한 결과 14개의 군집으로 정리되었다. 다른 주제어와 연결이 없이 고립된 군집이 8개, 연결된 군집이 6개였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Gazebo 시뮬레이터 기반 UAV 군집 시뮬레이션 구현 및 비행 고도 계층화를 구현한 결과를 보인다. Gazebo 시뮬레이션과 Autopilot Program인 Pixhawk4 SITL(Software In The Loop)을 이용하여 UAV를 시뮬레이터에 생성한 뒤 사전에 정의된 Mission에 대한 정보에 따라 비행이 되도록 구현하였다. 또한, Gazebo 시뮬레이터의 Box Object를 이용하여 UAV의 비행 고도를 시각적으로 계층화하여 표현하였다.

Art Class for Preventing From Cyberbullying By Using Pictogram (픽토그램을 활용한 사이버불링 예방 미술 수업)

  • Cyberbullying, one of the acts of cyber violence, is becoming a problem as digital devices become popular. Therefore, this study intends to provide pictograms that can communicate visually in order to raise awareness of cyberbullying prevention. 'Cyberbullying prevention pictogram' was conducted in total 6 times for 5 middle and high school boys. After analyzing the works, the results of this study are as follows. First, we investigated the change of cyberbullying recognition, empathy sensitivity, message visualization and social participation. First, the learner relaxed the burden of the art expression by using app, and the interest of the art was improved. Second, the learner recognized the seriousness of cyberbullying's violence and recognized the importance of preventing cyberbullying. Third, the learner improved sympathy sensitivity that sympathizes the suffering of cyberbullying victims. Fourth, cyberbullying prevention pictograms improved the ability to read, utilize and interpret visual images through sharing works. Fifth, the work was posted on an Instagram to give concrete action on social problems. In conclusion, we proved the effectiveness of cyberbullying prevention art class using pictograms.

Conceptual Understanding of Functions through a Graphing Calculator (그래핑 계산기를 이용한 함수의 개념적 이해)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate students' understanding of functions based on concept image and concept definition suggested by Vinner, For the study a graphing calculator was provided as a tool for students to use for their exploration. Three students participated in the study using the qualitative research method to identify their processes of understanding functions. The student with previous experiences of the functions had various concept images about the functions and did not have many opportunities to modify their images because the student did not want to depend on the calculator. However, the student who did not have many chances to study about the functions before used the calculator effectively for developing the concept definition on the functions. The calculator played an important role in connecting different representations and finding relationships between these representations supported by dynamic exploration.

Principal Components Self-Organizing Map PC-SOM (주성분 자기조직화 지도 PC-SOM)

  • Self-organizing map (SOM), a unsupervised learning neural network, has been developed by T. Kohonen since 1980's. Main application areas were pattern recognition and text retrieval. Because of that, it has not been spread to statisticians until late. Recently, SOM's are frequently drawn in data mining fields. Kohonen's SOM, however, needs improvements to become a statistician's standard tool. First, there should be a good guideline as for the size of map. Second, an enhanced visualization mode is wanted. In this study, principal components self-organizing map (PC-SOM), a modification of Kohonen's SOM, is proposed to meet such needs. PC-SOM performs one-dimensional SOM during the first stage to decompose input units into node weights and residuals. At the second stage, another one-dimensional SOM is applied to the residuals of the first stage. Finally, by putting together two stages, one obtains two-dimensional SOM. Such procedure can be easily expanded to construct three or more dimensional maps. The number of grid lines along the second axis is determined automatically, once that of the first axis is given by the data analyst. Furthermore, PC-SOM provides easily interpretable map axes. Such merits of PC-SOM are demonstrated with well-known Fisher's iris data and a simulated data set.

Point Symbols on Tourist Maps: Cognitive Characteristics with Levels of Symbolization and Preference (관광지도 점기호의 상징수준과 선호도에 나타난 인지특성 연구)

  • This research deals with cognitive characteristics of point symbols on the current tourist maps in terms of the communication theory in considering levels of symbolization and those of preference. The levels of symbolization are examined on the basis of the meaning of point symbols between map-makers and map-users. Preferences of point symbols are investigated by the tourist objects. As a result, when point symbols are expressed in conciseness, the meaning and interpretation about those symbols are highly accorded. And the point symbols that have familiarity by visual experience are preferred. Also, the higher symbolical levels symbols have, the more likely they are preferred. Through that fact, familiarity from the visual experience, conciseness in expression, concreteness of figures expressed in maps, and representativeness of visualized properties were deduced as factors that affect preferences. Those factors work to affect preference complicatedly, but familiarity is prior to simplicity in preferences. Likewise, ways that visualize information, contents that are expressed as images and familiarity in terms of cognitive characteristics make a relative difference in preferences and the levels of symbolization. On the basis of those cognitive characteristics, visual complexity and ambiguity should be removed and the higher symbolical level of point symbols for efficiency of map-reading should be developed.
