A Comparative Study of Job Satisfaction and Stress Coping Strategies of Teachers in Early Childhood Education and Care According to Their Personality Types (영유아교사의 성격유형에 따른 직무만족도와 스트레스 대처 방식의 차이)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare how the Enneargram personality types of teachers in early childhood education and care would affect their job satisfaction and stress coping strategies. The findings are as follows. First, as to the distribution of the participants' Enneargram personality types, the most common was the Peacemaker type and the least common was the Achiever type. Second, for teachers' job satisfaction, there was a statistically significant difference in the job-related subcategory according to their personality types. The post-hot comparison showed that the Loyalist type showed the lowest score in job-related job satisfaction. Third, in terms of stress coping strategies, there was a statistically significant difference in the psychological coping strategy according to their personality types. The post-hot comparison showed that the Individualist type showed the highest score in psychological coping strategy. The implications for future studies are also discussed.

Convergence Study of Social support, Self-esteem, and Type of Anger Expression in Dental Hygienists (치과위생사의 분노표현유형과 사회적지지, 자아존중감에 대한 융합적 연구)

  • This study aimed to identify the convergence factor where social support, self-esteem, and job stress affect the type of anger expressions in dental hygienists. The study involved 402 hygienists from different dental institutions. Clustering analysis was carried out to classify the types, and logistics regression analysis to find the related factors. Based on the types of anger expressions found in dental hygienists, they were divided into an anger control group and anger out-in group, with the former comprising 233 participants (58%). The results show that those with higher self-esteem (OR=5.592) and enjoying greater social support from their colleagues (OR=1.172) tend to belong to the anger control group. In other words, the study suggests that dental hygienists can control anger better with higher self-esteem and stronger social support from colleagues.

  • The purpose of this study is trying to drive the competence relevant to extension worker's functions. We also conducted a correspondence analysis between the individual competence and extension worker's functions. As a result of the analysis, the functions of guidance planning correlated with 'problem solving' and 'creation of ideas'. Education functions correlated with 'extension work evaluation', 'customer satisfaction' and 'understanding'. And crop technology diffusion functions were analyzed relevant to the ability of 'training skill' and 'responsibility' is high. In this study, extension empowerment need to educate suitable education which is high relation between competency and extension worker's functions and develop new suitable education model. And the baseline data will be made use, when arrange reasonable function to new extension workers, through individual competency measured.

Effects of the Personality Traits of Hotel Chefs and LMX on Innovative Behavior (호텔조리사의 성격특성과 LMX가 개인혁신행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper investigated the effects of hotel chefs' personality and leader-member exchange(LMX) on innovative behavior. The sample for the study is 300 chefs extracted from four five-star hotels in Busan metropolitan area. Self-administrated questionnaires are distributed and 267 usable ones are collected and used for the analyses. The findings of the research are as follows, First, hotel chefs' personality consists of neuroticism, openness, friendliness, conscientiousness and extroversion. Second, hotel chefs' LMX consists of attachment, loyalty, a sense of contribution and respect. Third, hotel chefs' openness, considerateness, and leadership positively affect hotel chefs' LMX and hotel chefs' introversion negatively affect hotel chefs' LMX. Fourth, hotel chef's innovative behavior is affected by hotel chef's attachment, loyalty and respect.

Convergence Factors Influencing Workplace bullying and Resilience on Retention Intention in Dental Hygienists (치과위생사의 직장 내 괴롭힘과 회복탄력성이 재직의도에 미치는 융합적 영향요인)

  • This purpose of this study was indentify the effect of the workplace bullying, resilience and retention intention on dental hygienists' retention intention and conducted in order to be applied to basic data for enhancing dental hygienists' retention intention. The participants in the study were 202. Data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0, t-tst, ANOVA, regression analysis. The dental hygienists' retention intention showed a high outcome in case of the higher employment satisfaction (p<.001), in the lower workplace bullying(p=.011) and in the higher resilience(p<.001). Conclusively, this study indicate a need to develop program the efficiently promote resilience and to plan improving organizational culture to increase retention intention in dental hygienists.

A Convergence Study on Factors Influencing Burnout in Caregivers (요양보호사의 소진에 미치는 영향요인에 대한 융합연구)

  • A Convergence study was conducted to investigate the factors influencing the burnout in caregivers and to present a strategy for effective program development. The subjects of this study were 185 caregivers who had worked for 6 months in a G city Nursing facility and distributed the self-reported questionnaire in September 2015. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression analysis were performed. According to the results, the identified influencing factors were stress of personal role and daily work factors(${\beta}=.307$, p<.001), stress of relationship with supervisors(${\beta}=.186$, p<.021), confidence(${\beta}=.182$, p<.005), passive coping(${\beta}=.140$, p<.035) with burnout in caregivers. The explanatory power($R^2$) by 4 variables was 27.5%. Based on the results of this study, it would be necessary to develop an burnout reduction program that can reduce stress, increase self-confidence, and diversify coping strategies in order to reduce burnout of caregivers.

A Effects of Infant Teachers' Happiness on Organizational Commitment (영유아교사의 행복감이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the Effects of Happiness on Organizational Commitment According to the Socio-demographic Characteristics of Teachers of Infants and Toddlers. The study subjects were 167 infant teachers in Ulsan. The collected data were analyzed through frequency analysis, reliability analysis and correlation analysis on SPSS 22.0 program, and multiple regression analysis was conducted for the causal relation between variables. The analysis results revealed that self-regulating happiness, a sub-factor of happiness of infant teachers, had a significant effect on their affective commitment, but factors of internal and external happiness did not significantly affect affective commitment. Second, self-regulating happiness had a significant effect on their continuance commitment. Third, the self-regulating happiness had a significant effect on their normative commitment. This study is considered to provide the basic data for preparing a practical intervention plan for improving the organizational commitment of infant teachers.
