해상크레인으로 인양하는 중량물의 Tagline 제어를 위한 다물체계 동역학 시뮬레이션 및 실험 (Multibody Dynamics Simulation and Experimental Study on the Tagline Control of a Cargo Suspended by a Floating Crane)

  • 본 논문에서는 해상 크레인이 인양하는 중량물의 운동 감쇠를 위하여 Tagline을 이용한 PD제어를 수행하였다. 해상 크레인 및 중량물을 각각 6자유도 운동을 하는 강체로 가정하고 뉴턴의 제 2법칙에 따라 운동 방정식을 유도하였다. 중량물의 운동을 감쇠하기 위한 제어 메커니즘으로 Tagline을 사용 하였고, 해상 크레인의 Deck에 설치한 Winch로 Tagline의 장력을 조절하였다. 장력을 조절하는 제어 알고리즘으로는 PD제어를 사용 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 수치적 제어 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 또한, 1/100 Scale의 모형 해상 크레인을 제작하고 실험을 통해 제어 시뮬레이션의 결과를 검증 하였다. 제어 시뮬레이션과 모형 시험 수행 결과 Tagline을 이용한 제어가 중량물의 운동을 감쇠시키는데 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • 매우 큰 정안정성($C_{L{\alpha}}$)을 갖는 틸트덕트 운동모델에 대해 선형 파라미터를 갖는 Sigma-Pi 신경망(SPNN) 제어법칙을 적용하였다. 기존의 비례적분미분(PID) 제어기는 매우 큰 정안정성을 갖는 운동모델이 갖는 강한 기수숙임 문제를 해결하기 어려웠고 이로인해 제어성능을 높일 수 없었다. 이와 달리 외부루프와 내부루프에 모두 적용된 SPNN 제어기는 동역학역변환 및 모델오차를 줄일 수 있는 의사적응제어 명령을 이용해서 과도한 안정성을 개선할 수 있었다. 이를 검증하기 위해서 경로점 추종 시뮬레이션을 이용해서 PID제어 성능과 SPNN제어 성능을 비교하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 한누리 2호의 자세제어 알고리즘 검증을 위해 개발한 KAUSatSIM에 대해서 논의한다. KAUSatSIM은 6개의 에어베어링을 사용하여 무마찰 환경을 모사한 1축 회전 테이블과 한누리 2호에서 사용된 각종 센서 및 모멘텀 휠로 구성되어 있다. 이 시뮬레이터는 한누리 2호의 자세제어 알고리즘에 대한 검증과 새로운 제어 알고리즘 개발, 그리고 그 성능 검증에 사용될 수 있다. 개발된 1축 회전 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 한누리 2호 개발에 이용된 자세제어 알고리즘 검증을 위하여 모멘텀 휠을 이용한 시험을 수행하였다. 비례-미분제어기를 사용한 모멘텀 휠 제어기를 설계하여 좋은 실험 결과를 얻었다. 그리고 더 나아가 추력기 시스템을 추가하여 소형위성에 적용 가능한 새로운 알고리즘 개발 및 검증이 가능하도록 하였다.

열환경 챔버 제어를 위한 PID 튜닝기법 연구 (A Study on PID Tuning Technique of a Thermal Environment Chamber)

  • The present study has been conducted to tune a PID controller for large thermal systems such as a thermal environment chamber. In spite of large thermal mass of the thermal chamber under test, its response delay time was found to be negligible mainly due to high air recirculation rate. In general, heating and cooling capacities tend to be small compared the size of a thermal environment chamber, which leads to long transient periods of one hour or so. In the study, a PI tuning method is suggested which makes system responses faster while reducing overshoots and hunting by utilizing efficiently proportional band of actuators.

  • As the development of microprocessor technology, electric power steering(EPS) system which uses an electric motor came to use a few years ago. It can solve the problems associated with hydraulic power steering. The motor only operates when steering assistance is needed, so it can save fuel and can reduce weight and cost by eliminating hydraulic pump and piping. As one of performance criteria of EPS systems, the transmissibility from road wheel load to steering wheel torque is considered in this paper. The transmissibility can be studied by fixing the steering wheel and calculating the torque needed to hold the steering wheel from road wheel load. A proportion-plus-derivative control is needed for EPS systems to generate desired static torque boost and avoid transmissibility of fluctuation. A pure proportion control can' satisfy both requirements.

PID제어를 위한 실용적인 기준 모델 제안과 성능개선 (Proposal of Practical Reference-Model and It's Performance Improvement for PID Control)

  • This study proposed new method to decide the reference model necessary for design PID controller. In generally, control design problems using the reference model have the following two factors. One factor is that numerical model of the controlled system can be obtained extremely, and the other is that specification for the closed-loop dynamic performance is pure moderate. Therefore, the control design procedure is essentially based on the partial reference model matching which offers a reasonable method to simplify the design and the controller configuration under the controlled system uncertainty. ITAE(Integral of time-multiplied absolute error) performance index and Kitamori method etc. which were used a reference model method had a limit to settling time and rising time of reference model that it arrived to steady state response according to the controlled system. On this study, if it only knew peak time of overshoot and settling time by measurement signal of the controlled system, it can be made the reference model easily. We proposed new method to improve performance index of the reference model superior to existing reference model index and illustrate the numerical simulation results to show the effectiveness of proposed control method design.

수직면에서 작동하는 탄성 매니퓰레이터의 효율적인 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the efficient control of an elastic manipulator moving in a vertical plane)

  • This paper presents a technique to control a robot which has a flexible manipulator moving in a vertical plane. The flexible manipulator is modeled as an Euler-Bernoulli beam. Elastic deformation is represented using the assumed modes method. A comparison function which satisfies all geometric and natural boundary conditions of a cantilever beam with an end mass is used as an assumed mode shape. Lagrange's equation is utilized for the development of a discretized model. A control algorithm is developed using a simple PID control technique. The proportional, integral and derivative control gains are determined based on the dominant pole placement method and tuned to show no overshoot and having a short settling time. The effectiveness of the developed control scheme is showed experimentally. In the position control experiment, three different end masses are used. The experimental results shows little overshoot, no steady state error, and less than 2.5 second settling time in case of having an end mass which is equivalent to 45% of the total system weight. Also the residual vibration of the end point is effectively controlled.

Flexible Flat Cable 생산성 향상을 위한 가압용 히팅롤러의 온도제어개선 (Temperature Control Improvement of Pressure Heating Roller for Flexible Flat Cable Production)

  • Pressure heating rollers with temperature control were mounted to a flat cable laminating machine (FCLM). Pressure heating rollers should be heated up to the setting temperature $(175^{\circ}C)$ and kept on to producing good quality flexible flat cables (FFC). Existing Pressure heating rollers took more than 70minutes to the setting temperature and did not keep on the setting temperature in production. Temperature controller, electric power controller, material and diameter of rollers and heat capacities were changed to improve the temperature control of the pressure heat rollers for better production of the FFC. Thus, the reaching time to the setting temperature (RT), temperature stability time (TST) and temperature hunting (TH) were measured and compared with the existing pressure rollers case. The RT of A roller was shortened by 50minutes, and B roller was shortened by 15minutes. The TST of A roller was shortened by 13minutes, and B roller was shortened by 15minutes. The THs of both A and B rollers were settled up to ${\pm}5^{\circ}C$. Finally, the productivity of the FCLM and the quality of the FFC were increased.

  • Quad-rotor is one kind of a rotorcraft in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), which consists of four rotors in total and fixed-pitch blades located at the four corners. This vehicle is emerging as popular platform for UAV research due to the simplicity of its construction, the ability of hovering and the vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capability, etc. Because of those specific capabilities, this vehicle can be applied to many fields: search and rescue, mobile sensor networks, fire observation, etc. However a quad-rotor is much affected by the disturbance due to the characteristics of structure. So this vehicle needs attitude control for stabilizing. In this paper, we design the control law for automatic stabilization. The PID controller is used to control a brushless DC motor. And an accelerometer is used to measure the roll and pitch angles of a quad-rotor.

  • This paper presents a technique to model and control a manipulator which has a flexible link and moves in a vertical plane. The flexible link is modeled as an Euler-Bernoulli Beam. Lagrange's equation is utilized for the development of a discretized model. This paper presents a simple technique to improve the correctness of the developed model. The final model including the shortening effect due to elastic deformation correlates very well with experimental results. The free body motion simulation shows that two assumed modes for the representation of the elastic deformation is proper in terms of the model size and correctness. A control algorithm is developed using PID control technique. The proportional, integral and derivative control gains are determined based on dominant pole placement method with a rigid one-link manipulator. A position control simulation shows that the control algorithm can be used to control the position and residual oscillation of the flexible one-link manipulator effectively.
