  • 하수관은 평상시 개수로 흐름특성을 가지며, 설계강우를 초과하는 홍수사상이 발생하는 경우에만 만수되어 관로 흐름특성이 나타난다. 개수로 흐름은 Froude수에 의해 상류와 사류로 구분되며, 일반적으로 등류수로로 가정한 후 유출량 또는 수심 등 흐름 변위를 산정한다. 사류인 경우 하수관 출구부에서 등류수심이 발생한다고 가정하면 해석이 용이하지만 길이가 짧은 하수관에서 실험을 수행한 결과 등류조건을 조성하기가 용이하지 않았다. 따라서 등류수심이 발생한다는 가정 하에 개발된 기존 마찰계수 산정식의 보완이 필요하다. 완변이 부등류 해석법을 이용하여 부등류 마찰계수 산정식을 개발하고자 시도하였으며, 이를 등류 마찰계수 산정식의 결과와 비교하였다.

  • 다사용자계층 통행배정(Multiple User Class Assignment) 문제란 교통망을 이용하는 통행자들이 이질적인 통행계층으로 구성된 경우, 이들 각 계층의 통행수요를 교통망에 배정하는 문제를 의미한다. 이는 기존 통행 배정모형들이 모든 통행자의 통행특성이 동질적이라고 가정함으로서 발생하는 불합리한 통행배정 결과를 완화시키기 위한 방법이다. 또한, 최근 지능형교통체계(Intelligent Transportation Systems, ITS)사업에서 교통정보제공시스템이 구현될 예정임에 따라, 교통정보를 제공받는 계층과 그렇지 못한 계층간의 영향을 분석하거나 혼잡통행료부과 등과 같은 교통관리전략을 정확히 평가하기 위해서 다사용자계층 통행배정모형에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 다사용자계층 통행배정모형의 경우, 사용자간의 상호영향으로 통행비용함수의 1차 편미분행렬(Jacobian matrix)이 비대칭(Asymmetric)이 되어 동등 수리최소화문제(Equivalency mathematical Minimization program)로 구성할 수 없고 또한 수치적으로 풀기가 어렵다는 문제가 있다. 본 연구는 이런 문제점을 극복할 수 있는 모형식과 알고리듬을 제시코자 한다. 본 연구에서 제시된 모형은 2가지 특징이 있다. 먼저, 각 사용자 계층간의 상호영향을 모형내에 반영하며, 기종점쌍간의 통행시간변화에 따른 수요변화를 고려한다는 점이다. 이를 위하여 변동부등모형(Variational Inequality Model. VI)으로 문제를 구성하며, 이에 대한 해석 알고리듬도 제시한다. 또한, 변동부등모형으로 구축된 다사용자계층 모형이 다사용자계층 균형조건과 동일함을 보여주는 동등성조건(Equivalency condition)도 제시한다.

Joint Tolerance Design by Minimum Sensitivity Theorem (최소민감도이론에 의한 조인트 부재의 공차설계)

  • A general formulation of the long cylinder tolerance design for the joint structure is here presented. The aim of this paper is to calculate the tolerance of joint by defining tolerance as a kind of uncertainty and to obtain the robustness of the joint structure. It is formulated on the bases of the minimum sensitivity theorem. The objective function is the tolerance sensitivity for the Von-Mises stress. It also took into full account the stress, displacement and weight constraints. PLBA(Pshenichny-Lim-Belegundu-Arora) algorithm is used to solve the constrained nonlinear optimization problem. The finite element analysis is performed with CST(Constant-Strain-Triangle) axisymmetric element. Sensitivities for design variables are calculated by the direct differentiation method. The numerical result is presented for the cylindrical structure where the joint tolerance is treated as random variables.

  • In this paper, a nonlinear matrix inequality problem and a nonlinear optimization problem are proposed for obtaining a structured static output feedback controller. The proposed nonlinear optimization problem has LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) constraints and a nonlinear objective function. Using the conditional gradient method, the nonlinear optimization problem can be solved. A numerical example shows the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

  • Students might find different solutions to the quadratic inequalities according to the range of the number representing the character of the inequalities. They have confusion when the roots of a quadratic inequality are complex numbers since the character of the inequalities generally represents the real number in the mathematics textbooks. Therefore we suggest that we must explain definitely the range of the number representing the character for each inequality question.

  • A delay dependent fuzzy $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controller design method for delayed fuzzy dynamic systems is considered. Using delay-dependent Lyapunov function, the asymptotical stability and $H_2/H_{\infty}$ performance problem are discussed. A sufficient condition for the existence of fuzzy controller is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). A simulation example is given to illustrate the design procedures and performances of the proposed methods.

Improved Carleman's Inequality and Improvement of Polya-Knopp's Inequality (칼레만 부등식의 개선 결과들과 폴야-놉 부등식의 개선)

  • This note, we first show that the famous Carleman's inequality can be improved if we find a positive sequence $\{c_n\}$ such that $c_n{\sum\limits_{j=n}^{\infty}}{\frac{1}{j\(\prod_{k=1}^{j}ck\)^{\frac{1}{j}}}}$ < e. Then we list a lot of known results in the literature improving Carleman's inequality by this method. These results can be a good source to a further research for interested students. We next consider about similar improvement of Polya-Knopp's inequality, which is a continuous version of Carleman's inequality. We show by a manner parallel to the case of Carleman's inequality that Polya-Knopp's inequality can be improved if we find a positive function c(x) such that $c(x){\int}_{x}^{\infty}\frac{1}{t\;{\exp}\(\frac{1}{t}{\int}_{0}^{t}{\ln}\;c(s)\;ds\)}dt$ < e. But there are no known results improving Polya-Knopp's inequality by this method. Suggesting to find a new method, we lastly show that there is no nice continuous function c(x) that satisfies the inequality.

  • In this paper, a novel approach to the stability analysis of the continuous affine Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy control systems is proposed. The suggested analysis method is easily implemented by the recently spotlighted convex optimization techniques called Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI). First, it derives the stability condition under which the affine Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system is stable in the large. Next, the derived condition is recast in the formulation of LMI and numerically addressed. Finally, the applicability of the suggested methodology is highlighted via computer simulations.

  • Active data are the input data which are changed its membership as Vector Quantization codebook generation algorithm is processed. In the process of VQ codebook generation algorithm performed, the actual active data out of the entire input data will be less presented as the process is performed. Therefore, if we can accurately find the active data and only if we are going to do VQ codebook generation on the active data, then we can significantly reduce the overall generation time. In this paper, we presented the triangle inequality based algorithm to select the active data. Experimental results show that our algorithm is superior to other methods in terms of the VQ codebook generation time.

Stability Analysis and Stabilization for Neutral Networked Control System (뉴트럴 네트워크 제어 시스템의 안정도 분석 및 퍼지 제어기 설계)

  • This paper focuses on the stability analysis and stabilization for networked control system with neutral type of time-delay. By utilizing the delay partitioning idea, new stability criteria are proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). These conditions are developed based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. Based on the derived criteria, a sufficient condition for te solvability of this problem is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequality without decomposing the original system matrices. Also, it is shown that the proposed controller design method is general for networked control systems. Finally, illustrative examples are presented to show the applicability of the proposed method.
