Rapid social and economic growth has brought positive results. At the same time, due to the increase in crime, crime prevention is important. There are many papers that analyze crime trends and crime type. Based on this, there are studies to ensure the safety of people. The study calculated the risk for the crime. it is necessary to exert a great effect on crime prevention alternatives. This paper uses crime data provided from San Francisco and victims data provided from FBI. And, it proposes the crime risk calculation. By analyzing the type of user, risk degree is given different weights according to the user, and assess the risk of crime.

To assess the risk level of a public restroom implemented in virtual reality, we sought to evaluate the spatial elements present in the restroom. To provide the theoretical foundation for the evaluation subjects and criteria, we introduced prior research that proposed a checklist to entance the safety of public restroom. To set up evaluation criteria, we analyzed and established based on the theories of Paul J. Brantingham and Patricia L. Brantingham, focusing on the interaction between space and criminals. Ronald V. Clarke's "Routine Activity Theory" was also introduced and incorporated into the evaluation approach. We analyzed based on the correlation between the criminal, user, and spatial elements of the public restroom in terms of the criminal's actions, the spatial relevance to crime, and user exposure during use. Using these criteria, we developed an algorithm to evaluate th spatial elements of public restroom. Based on this, we created an application, demonstrating the feasibility of developing on evaluation tool.

The guarantee of citizens' safety from crime is the reason for a nation's existence according to the social contract, and it is also a salient task in securing the citizens' right to the pursuit of happiness, which is a constitutional right expressing the nation's duty to its citizens. First, a procedure must be made mandatory that corresponds to the Miranda rule applied during the arrest of criminal suspect, which verifies whether there exists a risk of retaliatory crime to the victim of crime, crime reporter, or witness following their report of a crime or testimony. A measure to punish those who violate this should be devised. The second is the improvement of related laws and systems, such as expanding the scope of persons subject to protection from retaliatory crimes under the current law and strengthening information protection. Third, a retaliatory crime risk evaluation index must be developed, and the evaluation results must be quantified to clearly state measures and responsibilities, in detail, for personal safety at each level of intensity. The fourth is the expanded implementation of proactive personal safety measures for victims of crime and witnesses, as well as the development and application of advanced techniques. The last is a change in the perception s of those working for the judicial body. From the initial investigation stage of the crime to the diagnosis regarding the possibility of retaliation perpetrated on an ex-convict through psychological tests, systems of general cooperation, and mutual assistance must be established.

Electronic monitoring system was recently introduced as an effective means of controlling certain criminal offenders. Korean society manages ex-convicts only in reliance on the electronic monitoring system, which has a clear limit. For this reason, The reorientation program should be put before anything to subdivide the perpetrators equipped with the electronic monitoring device and separate them from the others from the start, or identify their criminal propensity and heal them.

This literature review introduced the concept of psychopathy which has never been defined academically in Korea. Also it is reviewed how this concept could be applied as latent factor of criminal behavior in the forensic settings. For this purpose, first of all, the periodical change of psychopathy definition was explored. Then it was investigated which determinants might develop psychopathy and what would be the behavioral characteristics of psychopaths. Finally, risk assessment tools measuring psychopathy were introduced and their predictive efficacy and applicability in Korean criminal justice system was discussed.

Criminal profiling, also known as offender profiling is designed to predict the characteristics of unknown criminal perpetrator through an analysis of the crime scene. Until now, there has been conflict about the effectiveness of criminal profiling among academics. In this study, 113 police investigators', working in serious crime divisions, were interviewed about their experiences with criminal profiling, and their belief about its effectiveness. 63.7% of the respondents agreed that criminal profiling is a valuable investigative tool and 62.8% agreed that profilers are valuable to criminal investigations. A total of 31.8% agreed that profilers help the police identify offenders and 15.0% agreed that there is no risk of profiler misdirecting and investigation. 61.5% of the respondents who had reported using a profile agreed that profiling is helpful and 71.4% told that they would use profiling again in the future.

Today's high-rise buildings are increasing concern about the safety and evacuation of people related to the fire and threat from outside. Terrorism breaking out in high-rise buildings, a symbol of the national economy results in a number of casualties, economic loss, social fear and damage to national status. That's why high-rise building has also emerged as a target of major terrorist attacks, compared to other types of buildings. We have 54 high-rise buildings in 15 regions over the country. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Seoul Metropolitan Government have offered the guidelines to prevent terrorist attacks toward high-rise buildings. Since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has developed and taken advantage of the Risk Management Manual Series. According to this manual, pre-assessment is conducted for the prevention of terrorism and particularly in FEMA 455, risk of the surrounding areas, vulnerability, possibility from terrorist attacks are checked. After the check, experts classify the risk of terrorist attacks toward the high-rise buildings and according to the risk classification, architects, security experts and structure engineers can carry out terrorism prevention program for high-rise buildings. The U.K. NaCTSO has also offered the terrorism prevention guidelines. Therefore, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Seoul Metropolitan Government should make more concrete guidelines for high-rise buildings such as what U.S. FEMA and U.K. NaCTSO implement, including prior evaluation technique for terrorism risk.

This research aims to securement of crime prevention for school violence and invasion from outside etc. For crime prevention efficiency secure, It has purpose for school current state comprehension and prevention essential elements deduction autonomously etc. Furthermore, school facility crime dangerousness evaluation checklist is looked for autonomous monitoring tools. This checklist made from analysis of frequency, importance and check availability of 6 native and foreign existing CPTED evaluation's 360 indexes. Then, 81 indexes was derived from analysis, and that indexs verified through focus group interview. Finally, total 47 articles checklist emerged with general details, external school, internal school, and school administrative managements. Through this checklist, school can select essential elements of the preferential crime prevention autonomously, and so it is expected to prompt improvement of crime dangerousness elements, school violence and reduction of crime rate.

In this study, it was considered that not only the physical form should be electronically copied in virtual reality modeling for real problem solving, but also the interrelationship between the object and the user to be simulated. To this end, a plan was proposed to add user-space interaction elements that occur in real space to virtual reality application. This study is set in virtual reality modeling to solve safety problems in public toilets, and there should be a reasonable principle to add interaction elements with users to virtual reality modeling, and the basic environmental design strategy for crime prevention was used. As a result, it was shown that it was reasonable to derive interaction elements according to certain principles, such as the basic strategy for environmental design for crime prevention.
