가변댐퍼의 성능해석

  • 본 연구에서는 ER(electro-rheological) 유체을 이용한 가변댐퍼(variable damper)를 제안했다. 전기장(electric field) 부하시 Bingham특성을 갖는 ER유체는 전기장에따라 항복전단응력이 변하기 때문에이를 이용하여 댐핑력을 제어할 수 있다. 피스톤의 상하압력차가 전기장의 함수이기 때문에 기존의 비능동 혹은 능동형 댐퍼에서 필요로하는 복잡한 밸브시스템이 필요없으며, 따라서 구조면에서 매우 간단하게 설계될 수 있고, 반응시간 또한 매우 빠르다. 간단한 현가정치 모델을 설정 하여제안된 ER 댐퍼의 효율성과 우수성을 주파수 및 시간 영역에서 해석하였다.

  • The test range for turbopump and gas generator coupled test was determined considering the engine system test area which cover the qualification and development. Based on the test range, we determined the required loss coefficient for the throttle valves and lines.

  • Natural gas fuel has known to be very promising in terms of abundancy and economic value. Therefore it is widely treated as research topics in a variety field of production, storage and utilization. Natural gas has become one of the major sources for the power generation by using internal combustion engines(ICE). Development of natural gas fuel injection device should be preceded to realize a reliable natural gas fuel supply system for a MW class power generation reciprocating ICE. In this research, an injection valve which consists of solenoid and body part with a moving plate was designed and its dynamic performance was experimented in the engine-like environment. Displacement length and diameter of an armature and diameter of a solenoid coil were tested at former study. In this research the effect of materials of solenoid core, size of main housing inlet and supply gas pressure are examined.

  • Electronic of military vehicle that had relied on pure machinery system is ongoing. A large part of electronic of small-sized military vehicle has been already commercialized, which will expand to large-sized military vehicle field. Design of solenoid valve for automatic transmission is significantly important for stable driving performance of military vehicle. This research aims to develop simulation method which is capable of predicting performance of solenoid valve quantitatively according to its variation of ATF temperature. The research has been conducted in line with Maxwell, a magnetic field analysis program, and AMESim, a hydraulic analysis program. After simulation, it turned out to have been very similar to the test result in temperature range which excludes high temperature (over $120^{\circ}C$) and extremely low temperature (below $-20^{\circ}C$).

  • This paper presents the technology for the design, fabrication, and characterization of a microfluidic system interface (MSI); the purpose of this technology is to enable the integration of complex microfluidic systems. The MSI technology can be applied in a simple manner for realizing complex arrangements of microfluidic interconnects, integrated microvalves for fluid control, and optical windows for on-chip optical processes. A microfluidic system for the preparation of genetic samples was used as the test vehicle to prove the effectiveness of the MSI technology for packaging complex microfluidic systems with multiple functionalities. The miniaturized genetic sample preparation system comprised several functional compartments, including compartments for cell purification, cell separation, cell lysis, solid-phase DNA extraction, polymerase chain reaction, and capillary electrophoresis. Additionally, the functional operation of the solid-phase extraction and PCR thermocycling compartments was demonstrated by using the MSI.

  • Smart Home or Home Network technology is one that continuously creates added value, making a better life. This paper designed and developed a smart home control system using smart phone. This proposed smart home system consists of home server control system, remote smart application system and home node structure. Home node structure, in detail, is composed of intrusion detection, gas leakage or gas valve control, door lock, automatic curtain, ventilation control and On/Off control modules and these modules are controlled at home server. Home server makes it easy to control home automatic control system anytime, anywhere as it provides remote interface that enables control via smartphone and user interface in itself.

  • In this research, an educational automatic purification facility of waste water is designed. The system has four functions which are filter tank, aeration tank, reactor tank and ultraviolet sterilization tank, and is embodied by PLC(Programmable Logic Controller), DC motor, solenoid valve, squirt gun, propeller, profile, switch, sensor and so on. Also, the system is designed and manufactured based on knowledges which are obtained from college education. The study is emphasized on "learning by doing". From this case study, students can increase their originality and adaptability for related industry. Also, the technique can be initiated industry if needed.

Natural gas has become one of the major sources for the power generation by using internal combustion engines(ICE). Development of natural gas fuel injection device should be preceded to realize a reliable natural gas fuel supply system for a MW class power generation reciprocating ICE. In this research, an injection valve which consists of solenoid and body part with a moving plate was designed and its dynamic performance was experimented in the engine-like environment. As a result of the experiments, linearity of flow rate was obtained and overall around 2ms of response time was observed at the pressure difference of 1bar. In addition, more than 100Liter/min(@2Hz) of gas flow rate was witnessed, which is expected to be adequate for the fuel supply system of a MW class natural gas engine.

  • A closed loop thermal control system simulates space thermal environment to verify the satellites' functionality in extremely cold/hot temperature. It is composed of a cryogenic blower, thermal shroud, heater, cryogenic valves. This paper presents an overview of closed loop thermal control system's design parameter and test results for control parameter. A capacity of blower is calculated through energy balance equation and an advantage/disadvantage for a shroud material and a type was analysed. The thermal control system is controlled by a constant density of fluid in the system. A requested performance of closed loop thermal control system was verified by measuring a homogeneity and stability of shroud through control parameter such as density and RPM of blower.

  • 강화학습은 에이전트(agent)가 주어진 환경(environment)과의 상호작용을 통해서 상태(state)를 변화시켜가며 최대의 보상(reward)을 얻을 수 있도록 최적의 행동(action)을 학습하는 기계학습법을 의미한다. 최근 알파고와 같은 게임뿐만 아니라 자율주행 자동차, 로봇 제어 등 다양한 분야에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 상수도관망 분야의 경우에도 펌프 운영, 밸브 운영, 센서 최적 위치 선정 등 여러 문제에 적용되었으나, 설계에 강화학습을 적용한 연구는 없었다. 설계의 경우, 관망의 크기가 커짐에 따라 알고리즘의 탐색 공간의 크기가 증가하여 기존의 최적화 알고리즘을 이용하는 것에는 한계가 존재한다. 따라서 본 연구는 강화학습을 이용하여 상수도관망의 구성요소와 환경요인 간의 복잡한 상호작용을 고려하는 설계 방법론을 제안한다. 모델의 에이전트를 딥 강화학습(Deep Reinforcement Learning)으로 구성하여, 상태 및 행동 공간이 커 발생하는 고차원성 문제를 해결하였다. 또한, 해당 모델의 상태 및 보상으로 절점에서의 압력 및 수요량과 설계비용을 고려하여 적절한 수량과 수압의 용수 공급이 가능한 경제적인 관망을 설계하도록 하였다. 모델의 행동은 실제로 공학자가 설계하듯이 절점마다 하나씩 차례대로 다른 절점과의 연결 여부를 결정하는 것으로, 이를 통해 관망의 레이아웃(layout)과 관경을 결정한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법론을 규모가 큰 그리드 네트워크에 적용하여 모델을 검증하였으며, 고려해야 할 변수의 개수가 많음에도 불구하고 목적에 부합하는 관망을 설계할 수 있었다. 모델 학습과정 동안 에피소드의 평균 길이와 보상의 크기 등의 변화를 비교하여, 제안한 모델의 학습 능력을 평가 및 보완하였다. 향후 강화학습 모델을 통해 신뢰성(reliability) 또는 탄력성(resilience)과 같은 시스템의 성능까지 고려한 설계가 가능할 것으로 기대한다.
