Comparative Analysis of User Experience with Delivery Applications -Focused on BaeMin, Yogiyo, Baedaltong- (배달 애플리케이션을 통한 사용자 경험 비교분석 -배달의 민족, 요기요, 배달통을 중심으로-)

  • This study is to compare and analyze three leading delivery applications in Korea. As using of mobile Phone increases, the frequency of delivery applications is increasing. Nevertheless, there are still problems in usabilities. So the usability of three Applications were analyzed through an in-depth interview. Factors affecting user experience's satisfaction were identified through a 7-point scale based on Honeycomb, and the results were similar with in-depth interview, indicating what and why users overwhelmingly preferred delivery applications. This study is intended to enhance usability of all applications by analyzing the user experience of delivery applications, deriving the strengths of each vendor, applying them to all applications, and further applying the new technological ideas gained from interviews.

Research on Usability of Mobile Food Delivery Application: Focusing on Korean Application and Chinese Application (모바일 배달 애플리케이션 사용성 평가 연구: 한국(배달의민족)과 중국(어러머)을 중심으로)

  • The development and generalization of the Internet increased the popularity of food delivery service applications in Korea. The food delivery market based on online-to-offline service is growing rapidly. This study compares the usability of Korean food delivery service application between that of Chinese food delivery service application. This study suggests improvement points for Korean food delivery service applications. To conduct this study, we explore the status of various food delivery service applications and conduct interviews and surveys based on the honeycomb model developed by Peter Morville. This study obtained the following results. First, all restaurants participating in the Korean food delivery service must be able to accept order through the application. Second, the shopping cart function must be able to accept order of all restaurants simultaneously. Third, when users look for menu recommendation, their purchase history and shopping cart functions should appear at the first page of the website. Users should be able to perceive the improved usability of the website using those functions. Fourth, when the search window is fixed on the top of each page, users should be able to find the information they need. Fifth, the application must allow users to find the exact location of the delivery person and the estimated delivery time. Finally, the restaurants'address should be disclosed and fast delivery time should be confirmed to enhance users'trust on the application. This study contributes to academia and industry by suggesting useful insight into food delivery service applications and improving the point of food delivery service application in Korea.

Analysis of usage decision factors based on the satisfaction of smart seniors using smartphone delivery applications (스마트 시니어의 스마트폰 배달 애플리케이션 만족도 기반 이용결정요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that affect the satisfaction of smart seniors using smartphone delivery applications. We established the hypothesis by dividing the factors that will affect the satisfaction of smart seniors using smartphone delivery applications into the characteristics of the delivery app and the personal characteristics of the smart senior. In order to verify the hypothesis, we surveyed adult men and women aged 50 to 65 years old who had experience using delivery apps, and we performed confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and path analysis to perform statistical processing for data analysis. The analysis results are as follows. First, we found that usefulness among the characteristics of delivery app had a statistically significant positive effect on the delivery app satisfaction of smart seniors. Second, we found that social empathy among the personal characteristics of smart seniors had a statistically significant positive effect on the delivery app satisfaction of smart seniors. Third, we found that delivery app satisfaction had a statistically significant positive effect on reuse intention. Based on research result, we suggested that in order to improve the satisfaction and use of delivery app by smart seniors, it is necessary to develop delivery app that can be usefully used by smart seniors and focus on social empathy.

  • 코로나19 확산 이후 온라인 주문 배달 음식 시장 규모가 커짐에 따라 다양한 음식 배달 모바일 플랫폼이 상용화되고 있다. 기존 배달 서비스의 기능 및 사용자 인터페이스(UI)를 분석한 결과, 비시각장애인의 관점에서만 편리성이 확보되고 있다는 것을 파악했다. 또한 시각장애인을 대상으로 한 인터뷰를 통해, 기존 배달 애플리케이션의 복잡한 UI로 인해 많은 시간이 소요된다는 문제점을 알 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 시각장애인 대상의 인터뷰와 관찰을 기반으로 사용자의 pain point를 극복할 수 있는 사용자 경험 중심의 배달 플랫폼을 개발하고자 한다. 서비스 이용 과정의 간소화, 시각 장애인을 위한 맞춤형 UI 제공, 접근성 강화를 통해 플랫폼 구성을 차별화한다. 이를 통해 시각장애인 사용자의 배달 플랫폼 이용을 수월하게 하고 장애인의 편리한 생활을 보장하기 위한 서비스들이 향후 많이 개발될 수 있도록 동기를 부여한다. 또한, 본 연구를 확장하여 '시각장애인의 키오스크 사용 관련 이슈 해결 방안'을 향후 연구 주제로 제안한다.

  • 현재 국내 많은 도서관과 여러 대여점 시설이 코로나로 인하여 운영에 제한이 있거나 중지되었다. 이에 기존 시설 이용자는 도서 대여에 불편함을 겪고 있으며, 민간 도서 대여점과 도서 대여업 산업 전반의 매출이 감소한 것을 확인하였다. 본 논문에서는 시설 사용자의 불편함과 민간 업체의 매출을 개선하기 위해 대여 서적 배달 서비스인 O2O(Offline to online) 플랫폼을 클라우드 서버에 구축하고자 한다. 플랫폼은 하이브리드 애플리케이션으로 구현하여 스마트 폰에 익숙한 신세대와 컴퓨터의 친숙한 기성세대 모두 쉽게 이용할 수 있게 구현하였으며, 이를 통해 대여점 이용자는 편리하고 안전하게 집에서 대여하고 대여점은 이용자 증가와 더불어 또 다른 홍보 수단으로 이용하여 대여점의 매출 개선을 기대할 수 있다.

  • 배달 애플리케이션과 지도 애플리케이션의 발달은 가게 이용에 많은 편리함을 가져왔지만, 푸드트럭, 포장마차와 같은 길거리 점포는 이러한 혜택의 사각지대로 이용에 많은 불편함이 남아있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 길거리 점포의 특성에 맞춘 위치기반 점포 관리 및 정보 제공애플리케이션을 설계하였다. 이에 이용자들이 보다 편리하게 길거리 점포를 이용할 수 있게 되기를 기대한다.

  • 소셜 애플리케이션은 GPS 센서가 내장된 스마트폰의 보급과 더불어 위치 기반 서비스와 융합된 형태로 발전하고 있다. 기존의 위치기반 서비스는 물류관제, 교통관제, 주문배달 등의 실시간 서비스 제공에 초점을 맞추었기 때문에, 소셜 애플리케이션에서 제공하는 취미, 선호도 기반의 추천 서비스 등의 개인화 서비스 제공에 적합하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 개인화된 소셜 애플리케이션에 적용 가능한 시공간 데이터의 그래프 모델링 기법을 제안한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 시공간 데이터 모델링 기법의 유용성을 보인다.

User Perception about O2O Order·Delivery App Using Topic Modeling and Revised IPA (토픽 모델링과 수정된 IPA를 활용한 O2O 주문·배달 앱에 대한 사용자 인식 연구)

  • Due to the spread of COVID-19, the use of O2O order·delivery applications are becoming very common. Unlike the past, where customers could choose the desired transaction method and channel, these days, where customers' choices are very limited, it is urgent to consider the concept of shadow labor which has been hindered by the convenience and the benefits of order·delivery app. To this end, in this study, the service quality factors perceived by users of O2O order·delivery app and their shadow work attributes were identified, and priorities according to their relative importance and satisfaction level were suggested. In order to fulfill research objectives, first, after collecting user reviews for an O2O order·delivery app, the subject words were derived using topic modeling. Research variables were selected by linking 11 keywords with the concepts of previous studies on service quality of mobile apps and those about shadow labor. Eight variables of usefulness, ease of use, stability, design quality, personalization, responsiveness, update, and presence were selected. Based on 32 measurement items from the variables, a revised IPA was conducted, and finally, 'keep', 'concentrate', 'low priority', or 'overkill' service quality factors are revealed.

Effect of Delivery Application Quality on Application Trust, Delivery Rider Trust, and Intention to Use: Focused on Trust Transfer in Online Platform Logistics (배달 애플리케이션 품질이 애플리케이션 신뢰, 라이더 신뢰 그리고 사용의도에 미치는 영향 : 온라인 플랫폼 물류에서의 신뢰 이전을 중심으로)

  • Purpose: Delivery food orders are on the rise due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Many customers are ordering food through delivery apps rather than visiting restaurants to eat out. Delivery application platforms are growing due to the development of O2O. Most of the people who provide gig worker for delivery applications are rider. Rider provides labor on their own terms and have more work flexibility and autonomy than ordinary workers. Trust can be transferred from a well-known entity to an unknown entity. From the customer's point of view of using the delivery application, trust can be seen through the third-party trust of the delivery application platform-rider-customer. Therefore, this study intends to investigate the effect on delivery application trust and rider trust through the well-known characteristics of delivery applications. Research design, data, and methodology: This study was conducted on Korean consumers over 20 years of age who have ordered food through a delivery application for the past month. After educating 5 investigators about the purpose of this study, 60 copies of the survey were conducted per person. During the investigation period, from September 2 to September 26, 2021, 322 copies were collected over 25 days. Among the collected questionnaires, 37 were excluded from insincere or partially unanswered, and 285 were used for analysis. In addition, the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0. Result: As a result of the study, convenience, price, and variety of restaurants were found to have a significant positive (+) effect on app trust, but design did not have a significant effect on app trust. Also, it was found that convenience had a significant positive (+) effect on trust in rider, but design, price, and variety of restaurants did not have a significant effect. App trust was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on rider trust and intention to use, and it was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on rider trust and intention to use. Conclusions: First, this study established a structural framework between delivery application characteristics-delivery-app trust-rider trust-intention to use. Second, in this study, it was found that customer trust in well-known delivery applications was transferred to less-known rider trust. Third, the delivery application should increase the convenience of use. Fourth, delivery application should set the delivery fee appropriately. Fifth, delivery application must continuously train the rider.

  • This study proposes functional services within the cooking recipe sharing application. Many single-person households often eat alone, and eating out. their usual eating habits are not considered well. when living alone, the risk of exposure to mental illnesses increases compared than multi-person households, and if nutrition has unbalanced, it can be easily exposed to diseases. in this study, define these problems and emphasize the importance of maintaining physical and mental health of one-person households, and explored user experience and expectations through cano models, focusing on the Baekjubu fooe recipe is often used by 20-30s. and users can feel the cooking process is not a hassle. and they will have a cooking themselves and even manage their mental health through communication with neighbors.
