An Event-based KFD Video Retrieval System (이벤트 기반 KFD 동영상 검색 시스템)

  • 본 논문에서는 다양한 이벤트들을 기반으로 KFD 동영상 내의 주요 장면들을 검색하는 KFD 동영상 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 선행 연구인 KFD 웹 데이터베이스 시스템에서 정의한 온톨로지 기반의 이벤트에 대한 히스토리 정보를 생성한 후, 이를 이용하여 KFD 동영상의 주요 이벤트들을 요약할 수 있으며 빠르고 정확하게 검색한다. 또한 제안된 시스템은 KFD 동영상과 내담자 스케치 동영상의 히스토리 정보를 매칭함으로서 멀티모달 동기화 재생 기능을 제공한다. 가족미술치료사는 본 시스템에서 제공하는 이벤트 기반의 멀티모달 동기화 검색 및 재생 기능을 이용하여 보다 의미론적이고 신뢰성 있는 KFD 사정 평가를 수행할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Study on Development of Educational Program Contents in the National and Public Art Museums in South Korea since the COVID-19 (코로나-19 이후 국내 국공립미술관 교육프로그램 콘텐츠 변화 연구)

  • This paper studies how the nature of educational programs run by public art museums in South Korea have been influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to what extent the pandemic has caused operational problems for these museums. It, in effect, unveils the new museum culture of the COVID-19 era. It finds that the number of educational programs at the eight museums in Korea selected for this study has decreased 34% since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of online educational programs, educational brochures and art kits at six of the museums has also increased by 70% compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, 'untact' programs thought up and created by artists have been gradually developing at certain art museums in South Korea, while VR/AR educational programs have been developing at museums in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. As such, this study reveals the changing characteristics of museum educational programs and the new museum educational culture in the COVID-19 era with the hope of opening up discussion about the future direction these programs will take.

  • In recent years, the term "art archives" has become increasingly popular, with the growing use of archives in exhibitions and program planning within domestic cultural and arts institutions. The need for art archives has been raised for reasons such as establishing the identity of art and culture and providing basic resources for academic research; however, they are now being recognized as a direct resource and service for users. Accordingly, research has also been conducted on the values, policies, and management practices of art archives in the archiving field. Nevertheless, there is a lack of research on management methodologies that can be applied to institutions that manage art archives. In particular, for the efficient use of art archives, classification, organization, and systematic management of descriptive areas must be preceded. But, There are different methods of managing art archives depending on the type of collection, the management institution, and the characteristics of the collection resources, which, in turn, makes it difficult to apply a consistent methodology for classification and description. Based on actual cases from The Art Archives, Seoul Museum of Art, this study examined the types and categories of arts, and presented the establishment of a classification system and archival description rules.

가상세계 구축을 위한 이미지 기반 모델링 기술과 렌더링 기술

  • 본 원고에서 우리는 컴퓨터 그래픽스를 이용하여 가상세계 구축에 필요한 3차원 모델들을 제작하거나 애니메이션을 만드는 방법들 중에서, 사진이나 그림으로부터 비교적 손쉽게 모델을 구축하는 기술들을 분석하고 앞으로의 발전 방향에 대하여 전망하고자 한다. 이러한 기술들은 최근 들어 그 기술개발이 이루어지고 있는 분야이며 미술가가 모델링 작업에서 직접적인 역할을 담당할 수 있는 길을 열어가고 있다는 점에서 커다란 의미가 있다고 하겠다. 이러한 방법들의 핵심기술은 어떠한 것들인지를 분석해보기로 한다.

  • 3차원 그래픽을 추상화시켜서 표현하는 비실사(Non-Photorealistic Rendering) 기법은 실사기법에 비해 사용자와의 원활한 커뮤니케이션을 이끌어 낼 수 있고 다양한 예술적 효과를 표현할 수 있다는 점에서 주목을 받고 있다. 지금까지 비실사 기법에 관한 연구는 서양적 미술 기법에 중점을 두고 연구되어 왔으나, 최근 한국적인 미술 기법인 수묵화 기법을 적용한 연구에 관심이 높아지고 있다. 기존의 서양적 비실사 기법에서는 프리폼 스케치 알고리즘에 관한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 사용자는 이를 이용해 마우스나 펜의 조작만으로 쉽게 모델을 제작할 수 있고 다양한 렌더링 기법을 직접 적용해볼 수 있다. 반면에, 동양적 비실사 기법에서는 프리폼 스케치 알고리즘에 관한 연구가 부족하기 때문에 동양적 비실사 기법에 적합한 모델을 생성하기 어렵다. 이에 본 논문에서는 동양적 프리폼 스케치 알고리즘 연구에 대한 기초 연구로 2D스케치로부터 사군자 중 하나인 #난(蘭)# 에 해당하는 3D 모델을 생성할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • This is a study on an ontology development for a content-based Expert System Document Categorization. The objectives of this study were to set up the concept of ontology and to find out the effect of ontology on Expert System. Based on this concept of ontology, it found noems for development of Expert System in the field of fine arts and showed Ontology hierarchical categorization.

  • The number of galleries across the country is increasing as interest in cultural life increases due to the increase in national income. However, museum satisfaction is relatively low compared to other services. In this paper, we propose a service that provides preference information based on machine learning in embedded system environment in order to increase museum satisfaction. The proposed algorithm implements an embedded system using Raspberry Pi. Machine learning was used to find works similar to the viewer's favorite works, and several models were compared to select models applicable to embedded systems. By using the preference information, it is possible to effectively organize the gallery exhibition contents to increase the exhibition satisfaction and the re-visit rate of the museum.

  • The current society characterized by knowledge-based information technology and multiculturalism put more emphasis on problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and communication skills than any other periods did. In response to the demand of the current times, multidisciplinary, or convergence courses and majors are being created and conducted in college education, yet, with the lack of specific teaching and learning model for the convergence courses. In this context, this study aimed to examine PBL as an instructional model for the convergent approaches in classroom, since PBL has been regarded as a model for fostering the 21st century learning capabilities for student coupled with the learning principles of authentic tasks, learner-centeredness, collaborative learning. This study, after conducted a PBL course for the general art education during the summer semester of 2014, analyzed the result using data collected from students' reflective journals, in-depth interviews, and SNS posts among the students. The result presented students' enhanced self-respect, increased interest in their learning and communication skills, and their recognition of the value on diversity and empathetic attitudes toward each others. In conclusion, PBL showed its potential as an alternative instructional model for the multidisciplinary and convergent learning in college education.

Status of Brain-based Artistic Education Fusion Study - Basic Study for Animation Drawing Education (뇌기반 예술교육 융합연구의 현황 - 애니메이션 드로잉 교육을 위한 기초연구)

  • This study is the process of performing the interdisciplinary fusion study between multiple fields by identifying the status on the previous artistic education considering the brain scientific mechanism of image creativity and brain-based learning principles. In recent years, producing the educational methods of each field as the fusion study activities are emerging as the trend and thanks to such, the results of brain-based educational fusion studies are being presented for each field. It includes artistic fields such as music, art and dance. In other words, the perspective is that by understanding the operating principles of the brain while creativity and learning is taking place, when applying various principles that can develop the corresponding functions as a teaching method, it can effectively increase the artistic performance ability and creativity. Since the animation drawing should be able to intuitively recognize the elements of movement and produce the communication with the target beyond the delineative perspective of simply drawing the objects to look the same, it requires the development of systematic educational method including the methods of communication, elements of higher cognitive senses as well as the cognitive perspective of form implementation. Therefore, this study proposes a literature study results on the artistic education applied with brain-based principles in order to design the educational model considering the professional characteristics of animation drawing. Therefore, the overseas and domestic trends of the cases of brain-based artistic education were extracted and analyzed. In addition, the cases of artistic education studies applied with brain-based principles and study results from cases of drawing related education were analyzed. According to the analyzed results, the brain-based learning related to the drawing has shown a common effect of promoting the creativity and changes of positive emotion related to the observation, concentration and image expression through the training of the right brain. In addition, there was a case of overseas educational application through the brain wave training where the timing ability and artistic expression have shown an enhancement effect through the HRV training, SMR, Beta 1 and neuro feedback training that strengthens the alpha/seta wave and it was proposing that slow brain wave neuro feedback training contributes significantly in overcoming the stress and enhancing the creative artistic performance ability. The meaning of this study result is significant in the fact that it was the case that have shown the successful application of neuro feedback training in the environment of artistic live education beyond the range of laboratory but the use of the machine was shown to have limitations for being applied to the teaching methods so its significance can be found in providing the analytical foundation for applying and designing the brain-based learning principles for future animation drawing teaching methods.
