An Analysis on Achievement-assessing Style for Serious Game (기능성게임의 성취도 평가 유형 분석)

  • Serious games are purposive game. So game-developers want to achieve the desired purposes, and game-users also want to play to achieve the goals of playing games. The function of achievement-assessing is an important area of serious game. In this study, achievement-assessing style was defined as three types, that is, 'all-in-one', 'complex', and 'separation'. Accordingly, we analyzed which type of serious games use which type of achievement-assessing style. As a result, the survey shows that those who want to play game itself preferred 'all-in-one' above all, and those who want to stick to the purpose of game preferred 'separation' or 'complex'. In addition, the investigation of preference of achievement-assessing function shows that users, as a whole, preferred 'all-in-one'. We hope this study will be useful data to design of achievement-assessing function which achieve the purpose of game and provide users with higher satisfaction.

  • This paper deals with the elderly serious game design which makes full use of the existing arcade game machine. This serious game is on the issue for its positive role recently. Serious arcade game for the elderly which is made up arcade platform-based combined contents manufacture technology has an element which is having a fun for building up physical and mental health. It also has a special objective which can prevent against senile dementia. Above-mentioned serious arcade game which has a special objective in both hardware part and software part is needed to study how to design. Accordingly, this paper presents how to make up special-purpose entertainment machine and contents development by biologic, social, and psychological researches and data about the elderly - main users. We hope that this paper can be used as a base for expansion of new industrial field by integrating new product development for the elderly with high game technology.With the help of information technology

  • 본 논문에서는 체감형 기능성 게임의 여러 요인들 중에 하지근력을 실질적으로 강화시키기 위해서는 어떠한 요인들이 필요하며, 그 요인들을 어떻게 구성 하였을 때 가장 큰 효과를 줄 수 있는지 요소들에 대한 구성에 대해서 분석하여 체감형 기능성 게임을 개발 하는 업체들에게 실직적인 효과를 줄 수 있는 요인들을 제시하는데 목적이 있다.

  • This study examined user experiences of motion-based games. Focusing on the playing experiences, in-depth interviews and survey were conducted on seven families with various family members detailing the gameplay. These qualitative methods were conducted interpretive way such as a month-long participant observation. As a result, the game Sensible meantime, the results were excluded from the game with the older generation of women and the elderly, leading to game culture game is trying to communicate was confirmed.

  • The purpose of this study is to design and develop internet-based game content in elementary mass class. The design of Internet-based learning game content should be different from general game contents in terms of achieving learning goal, challenging learning steps, and learning motivation. This study presents the design and development strategies in the second grade multiply mass class. This study concludes that internet-based game content should consider the importances of the process of game, accumulations of game results to remind learners of what to achieve during the internet class not to enjoy the game itself.

  • 최근에 PC기반의 온라인 게임과 유무선 연동이 가능한 유비쿼터스 게임기의 개발이 활발하게 이뤄지고 있다. 본 논문은 단순히 연동이 가능한 환경에서 더 나아가 지능적이고 효율적인 게임 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 지능형 멀티 에이전트 시스템과 효율적인 자원 관리 시스템을 제안한다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 지능형 에이전트는 사용자의 주변 환경을 인식하고 사용자의 목적에 적합한 행위를 자율적으로 선택하여 제공할 수 있어야 한다. 또한 메모리 용량이 협소한 자원 관리 시스템을 보완하여 내부의 메모리 공간을 최적의 상태로 유지할 수 있어야 한다.

  • An intelligent game has been studied for some time, and the main purpose of the study was to win against human by enhancing game skills. But some commercial games rather focused on adaptation of the user's behavior in order to bring interests on the games. In this study, we are suggesting an adaptive reinforcement learning algorithm, which focuses on the adaptation of user behavior. We have designed and developed the Othello game, which provides large state spaces. The evaluation of the experiment was done by playing two reinforcement learning algorithms against Min-Max algorithm individually. And the results show that our approach is playing more improved learning rate, than the previous reinforcement learning algorithm.

  • A Human Computation Game(HCG) is designed to solve difficult problems that cannot be dealt with computers with a large number of individuals' voluntary participations. Most existing relative studies focus on building more efficient system for problem solving, or the individual cases on the development of certain HCGs. However, a game is fully completed by the players who play it. Therefore, additional research is needed to annalize the ludic elements of HCGs, which induce people to play them voluntarily. We studied the purposes, tasks, and the game mechanics of 31 HCGs, then suggested how to design more enjoyable HCGs.

  • This paper studies the GUI design of motion-sensing game character selection. The game's GUI plays a role in transferring information in human-computer interaction. The purpose of this game player-oriented GUI design is to optimize the human-computer interaction, make the operation more user-friendly, reduce the user's cognitive burden, and better adapt to the user's operation needs. This paper combines examples to compare and analyze these three games from three aspects: text, color and form. In the existing motion-sensing game games, the character selection GUI has a design feature of high recognition and strong visibility. Finally, suggestions for GUI design of motion-sensing game games are given. It is hoped that in the future, reference materials will be provided for the GUI design of experience game character selection.

  • This paper aims to clarify the game performance and its principle and operation method at the depth of successful content through gameness transition, which is one of the transmedia phenomena of games. This paper investigated the current state of gameness transition and analyzed the game structure and working principle by using Chris Crawford's creative expression taxonomy model. As a result, the types of gameness transition could be extracted into space exploration type, stage type, reasoning competition type, and mutual competition type.
