  • Outcomes based engineering education is not necessary only for the accreditation by the ABEEK, but the actual improvement and enhancement of the engineering education. Also, it is the new and big trend in engineering education filed world widely. The new methodology for performing outcomes based education has been proposed for engineering education and the practical application for so called 'life-long learning' outcome has been presented. Furthermore, the way to 'close-the-loop' for CQI(continuous quality improvement) in engineering education has been shown.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 근·현대의 일본 신종교운동들의 치료문화의 특징을 밝힘으로써 일본의 영성을 설명하는 것이다. 일본의 신종교운동들은 마음과 영혼에 상당한 비중을 주는 경향이 있기 때문에 그들은 '마음의 회복'이라고 불리는 일정한 의식을 갖는다. 달리 말하면 자아의 변화이다. 본인은 일본의 치료문화의 배경 안에서 그 의식을 분석하고자 한다. 왜냐하면 현대 일본의 신종교운동들은 일본의 전통적인 치료문화를 계승하여 발전시켰기 때문이다. 일본 영성의 특징은 자아와 훌륭한 삶 사이의 연계감이며, 일본의 치료문화의 특징은 바로 그 영성에 바탕을 둔 신념과 의식에의 관심을 통한 삶과의 교섭에 중점을 두며, 일본과 같이 풍부하고 포스트모던한 사회 안에서 삶의 활력을 느끼기에 불가능하고 일본의 보통의 삶 안에서의 죽음에 대한 경험의 부재라는, 그래서 그것이 없이는 생동감 있고 명랑하게 살 수 없는 그것의 현대적 한계성을 지적하면서 결론을 위해 이 주제를 세 가지 점에서 다룬다. 1. 일본 신종교운동들의 역사 2. 그 치료와 영성 3. 생기 있는 영성

The Usage of Animation and Social value.Clothing behavior of Adolescents (청소년들의 애니메이션 이용현황과 사회적 가치관.의복행동에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the usage of animation and its relation to the social values and clothing behaviour of adolescents. A survey was conducted in four different high schools in the metropolitan area (Seoul) and 187copies were analyzed by SPSS 12.0 package. The results were as follows; First, According to Usage survey, a number of adolescents watched animations mainly through the internet and 39% of them used the internet $2{\sim}3$ times a week. The most watched genre of animation was action/science-fiction but some differences were observed between male students and female students. Male students enjoyed action/science-fiction, comedy and drama/romance, whereas female students enjoyed drama/romance, action/science-fiction and comedy in the decreasing order. Second, It was found that the favorite genre of animation by adolescents had influence on their community mind and materialism. The most significant genre affectingcommunity life was drama/romance and the one affecting materialism of adolescents was action/science-fiction. Third, Materialism had a significant influence on clothing conformity and the next was community mind. Only materialism proved to be a significant variable affecting fashion followers. In conclusion, the results of this study showed that the adolescents' community life and materialism were significantly influenced by their favorite genre of the animation, and their social values were related to their clothing behaviors.

Effects of Temperament, Family Strength and Social Support on Ego-Resilience of Adolescents (청소년의 기질, 가족건강성 사회적 지지가 자아탄력성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of temperament, family strength and social support on ego-resilience of adolescents. Four hundred fifty middle and high school students in Incheon participated. Temperament, family strength, social support and ego-resilience were evaluated by self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using factor analyses, t-tests, descriptive statistics, correlations and standard multiple regression analyses. Results indicated that there was significant gender difference in ego-resilience. Adolescents' ego-resilience was positively associated with activity level and persistence in temperament, family strength and social support, but negatively associated with rigidity in temperament. Furthermore, gender, temperament, family strength and social support of class teacher and close friends significantly predicted ego-resilience of adolescents.

  • The 'focus group' is a well established methodology to evaluate the characters and features of the mother group qualitatively. In outcomes based engineering education, it is a key issue to select a proper tool for evaluating the achievement of outcomes. Based on understanding of the method. A 'focus group' was introduced to evaluate the outcomes qualitatively in the engineering education. The issues in the procedure, implementation and analysis were studied. The guide manual for specific outcomes (life-long learning, contemporary issue, cooperation world-widely) was also suggested.

  • We have investigated characteristics of ZnSe epilayer grown by molecular beam epitaxy(MBE) on semi-insulating(SI) GaAs by using surface photovoltage(SPV). The measurements of SPV were performed with illumination intensity and modulation frequency. The bandgap energy of ZnSe epilayer was determined from derivative surface photovoltage (DSPV). The five states were observed at room temperature(RT), and those states relate to the impurity and defect formed hetero-interface of ZnSe and GaAs during the sample growth. The observed states represented as a tendency of typical extrinsic transition on the increasing illumination intensity. The 1s and 2s signals related to the excitonic absorption were not observed at RT, but those were presented with the splitted of two peaks in the SPV at 80 K. From the modulation frequency dependence, we obtained the junction conductance and capacitance of the sample.

  • This study analyzes the need for appropriate response education in schools for national health and sustainable development education in connection with particulate matter, which has recently emerged as a serious environmental and social problem. The survey was conducted on 1,200 teenagers(middle and high school students) in North Jeolla Province. The results of the study are as follows. First, the survey results were generally low in terms of environmental attitude and response(actuality) as well as the level of knowledge of particulate matter. Second, particulate matter-related education is rarely conducted at school sites; therefore, it is also necessary to develop an environmental education programs that can be a significant educational experience along with a specific educational orientation that is required to ensure the achievement of sustainable residential environment education. Finally, we hope that this study will help raise awareness on sustainable residential environment education amid difficulties in accessibility. Issues that need further study include: the absence of education materials, environmental education related to particulate matter, and guidance on how to maintain healthy living for individuals that help increase interest in a sustainable living environment for future generations.

  • The 'Program outcomes and assessment' is an important criterion evaluating of engineering education in accreditation of engineering education. ABEEK prescribes program outcomes which are the basic capabilities in the application of the fundamental knowledge and practical tools of the engineering field. Also ABEEK asks to prove that all programs are constructed a proper educational curriculum and are satisfied program outcomes and CQI. Therefore program outcomes must satisfy both two key points. First, as a quality control aspect, engineering programs must prove that graduates of accredited programs can perform twelve capabilities. Second, as a continuous quality improvement aspect, accredited programs have to upgrade a level of engineering educational quality. Consequently the purpose of study is to introduce a new model for CQI and QC systems, implementing strategies as an actualizing of program outcomes.

  • Though the 'Program Educational Objectives' is the first and important criterion in ABEEK's engineering education accreditation, exact meaning and implementation methods have not been understood well. It was often confused with 'Program Outcomes' and its implementation and evaluation methods do not reflected well on the concepts of "outcomes based and demand driven education". A new implementation model for 'Program Educational Objectives' has been developed using step by step application. The model explains the meaning of every step (phase), and key constituents in each phase. The specialization and CQI of the program could be satisfied by applying the model properly.
