Orientation of Makeup Education in Consideration of Characteristics of Makeup Sector (메이크업 분야별 특성을 반영한 교육 방향성 연구)

  • This study focused on the orientation of makeup education, considering the characteristics of the makeup sector. For this, the academic categories and properties of makeup in the theoretical areas of makeup education were analyzed. The practical fields of makeup techniques were divided into five different areas, and their characteristics and core competencies were analyzed. Then, the study results were verified through an in-depth interview. The results found the following: The academic categories of makeup are correlated with various fields such as art, technique, design, public health, science, medicine, and humanities. Analysis on the five different fields was mostly matched in practices. However, core competencies revealed a big difference in stage performances and fashion shows. Overall, basic beauty makeup, basic stage makeup, and basic media makeup techniques were found in terms of the core competencies. In particular, there was a high demand for hairstyling skills.

A Study on The Youtube-Using Education In the Untact Period -A Focus On The National Makeup Certification (언택트(untact) 시대의 유튜브 활용 교육에 관한 연구 -메이크업 국가자격을 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to speculate on Youtube for national certification education in makeup in the Untact period derived from the pandemic phenomenon such as the COVID 19. For the purpose, this study surveyed perception on Youtube on national certification education, characteristics of the programs, selection standards, continuance and recommendation intention and supplementations. The results are: The perception on Youtube was very positive(75.5%); Among characteristics, the mean value of informativeness was 3.54, that of play speed control as an advantage was 4.07 and that of feedback limit as a disadvantage was 3.64. In respect to selection standards, 44.5% of the subjects selected a program based on professionalism; 82.0% had continuance intention and 82.6% had recommendation intention. As for the needs of supplementation, the mean value of sanitation education was 4.20, that of updated regulations was 4.13 and that of feedback was 4.0. Therefore, it is suggested that if an interactive education system is supplemented in exact information and feedback, Youtube makeup certification programs will be further facilitated as useful education materials for makeup development.

Correlation among Wearing Masks Because of COVID-19, Makeup Satisfaction and Goal-oriented Attitude (코로나19로 인한 마스크 착용과 메이크업만족도, 목표지향적 태도의 상관관계)

  • 330 Korean adult women were examined the correlation between degree of makeup and makeup satisfaction before/after wearing masks due to COVID-19 and the moderating effect of mandatory/voluntary goal-oriented attitude toward makeup. The study found that lip makeup(p<.001) was significant variable in makeup satisfaction before COVID-19, and eyebrow makeup(0<.002) was significant after COVID-19. Although moderating effect of mandatory goal-oriented attitude, which works between degree of makeup before/after COVID-19 and makeup satisfaction was not significant, but moderating effect of voluntary goal-oriented attitude appeared to be significant before(p<.000) and after(p<.000) COVID-19. And the degree of makeup after COVID-19 was lower than before(p<.000). If one believe that makeup is for one's own satisfaction, degree of makeup can be significant effect on the makeup satisfaction, but actual behavior has shown that degree of makeup has decreased since wearing masks because of COVID-19. I hope this research will be used as marketing material for beauty and cosmetics industry.

The Research of Educational Recognition, Field Usability and Satisfaction for The National Technical Certificate of Cosmetologist (Make-up) (미용사(메이크업) 국가기술자격증 취득을 위한 교육인식과 현장활용성 및 만족도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyzed the effects of educational recognition sub-factors (necessity, utility, value, cost, adequacy) on the field usability and satisfaction and the correlation between each factor for 220 applicants who have taken the national technical certificate of cosmetologist (make-up). In the practical courses of makeup certificate, the most-used course was selected as beauty makeup. It found for improvement need cause there was a high necessity and there was a low recognition of the cost, the number of annual written and practical test in the recognition of certification education. In field usability 'Beauty make-up utilization' showed high recognition, and it showed high satisfaction for acquisition of certificate satisfaction, 'The salary' showed low recognition. The necessity, cost, adequacy among educational recognition sub-factor of the national technical certificate had a significant positive effect on the field usability and satisfaction, and showed the most effect as adequacy on the field usability and the cost on the satisfaction. Therefore, efforts are needed to reduce acquisition costs of certificate and improve highly available theories and technique for segmentation and specialization of make-up certificate.

  • The desire to be beautiful naturally focuses on aesthetics, and the beauty industry is growing significantly accordingly. Among them, art makeup is developing in the beauty field as a creative and experimental art field that breaks away from the fixed framework centered on color and expression. Art makeup is a field that requires research on a new artistic form of art makeup that applies formative principles through design ideas based on integrated arts such as fashion, architecture, and art according to formative principles. Formative principles were classified into balance, unity, emphasis, and rhythm, and practical cases based on his applied integrated arts were divided into landscaping, architecture, flowers, painting, fashion, and interior design, and art makeup design using formative principles was analyzed. Accordingly, we aim to contribute to the development of new designs by explaining how makeup design forms that apply formative principles are being applied in the field of art makeup, exploring expansion into creative areas, and providing academic theoretical foundations and basic materials for the development of art makeup.

뷰티아카데미 교육생들의 관계효익이 뷰티아카데미의 브랜드이미지와 신뢰에 미치는 영향

  • 뷰티산업은 2000년대 초반 이후 소득수준의 향상과 개성 표현, 웰빙 등 새로운 라이프 스타일에 부합하여 급속한 성장을 이루어 왔다. 뷰티산업은 헤어미용, 피부미용, 네일아트, 메이크업 등 서비스업과 관련된 미용기기, 용품 등 제조업을 포괄한다. K팝의 영향으로 이미용, 피부미용, 네일, 메이크업 등 K뷰티 서비스에 대한 해외 소비자들의 수요 역시 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 이에 대응하여 뷰티 서비스 전문가를 양성하기 위한 전문 교육기관 역시 꾸준히 증가하고 있으나 교육생들의 뷰티아카데미 선택 기준에 대한 연구는 부족한 편이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 뷰티아카데미 수강생들이 느끼는 관계효익을 심리적 효익, 사회적 효익, 경제적 효익, 고객화 효익으로 구분하여 측정하고 이러한 관계효익이 뷰티아카데미에 대한 교육생들의 브랜드 이미지와 신뢰도 형성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 각각 분석한 다음 뷰티 아카데미 교육생들의 추천의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 한다. 이와 같은 연구를 통해 뷰터 아카데미 운영에 필요한 시사점을 도출하여 제시하고자 한다.

  • For modern people living in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, appearance management and consumption behavior are very important factors not only in personal values but also in human relationships. It is used as an important means of competitiveness with skin beauty and fashion. It is used as an important means. Therefore, we compared and analyzed professionally from the aesthetic point of view about the makeup of the eyebrows, eyes, eye line, cheeks, lip make-up, and skin tone of Woohee, who appeared in the movie and Miss Korea in 1989. As a result of the study, other aspects were analyzed in the common denominator of a somewhat exaggerated makeup technique. Accordingly, through this study, it is possible to explore multiple angles for developing novel makeup patterns and items, and at the same time, it will help to establish a foundation for makeup beauty education. In addition, this study intends to contribute to the practical development with competitiveness by building a more aggressive marketing strategy in the makeup market.

  • 화장품의 사용감은 개개인에 따라 다양한 기호를 나타내며 상대적이고 감성적인 개념들이 우선하게 된다. 이러한 관능특성들을 보다 객관적이며, 과학적으로 고찰하고자 하는 연구분야가 바로 관능평가이다. 본 연구에서는 메이크업 단계 중 베이스 메이크업에 속하는 제품인 파운데이션의 관능 특성을 보다 객관적이며 신뢰성 있게 평가, 분석하는 전문패널 평가 시스템을 구축하기 위하여 사내 여성을 대상으로 discriminative 및 descriptive 테스트를 실시하였다. 이를 통해 적합한 패널을 선정하였고 일정하게 규정된 일련의 교육과정들을 통해 패널을 훈련시킴으로써 베이스 메이크업 전문 패널 평가 시스템을 구축하였다. 그 후 파운데이션에 대해 질감별 제품을 평가하도록 한 후 이러한 방법으로 수집된 데이터를 신뢰성 있는 통계적 분석법을 이용하여 제품의 사용감 특성이 위치되니 2차원적 공간영역과 제품별 사용감의 특성을 분석하였다. 그 후 분석된 결과를 자사 브랜드 메이크업 라인의 파운데이션 제품에 응용하여 제품을 차별화 시키도록 설계하고 질감별 특징적 사용감과 적합한 특성강도를 제시한 후 이를 나타내는 처방의 제품을 결정하였다. 최종적으로 출시된 제품을 실제 소비자들을 통해 기호형 관능평가를 다시 한번 실시하였으며, 그 결과 실제 느끼는 사용감각 특성과 상품개발 계획 시 소구하고자 했던 관능특성이 일치하게 나타나 사용감 설계의 객관성을 검증하였다. 따라서, 본 연구는 이와 같은 결과를 통해 관능평가를 제품개발에 응용한 활용방안으로 보고자 하였다.

Application of Funeral Make-up (장례메이크업의 적용 방법)

  • As the funeral service is on ritual of addressing death that is the final phase of life, it can be said to be the final stage of welfare service. It is developing into the stage of make-up, which reproduces the image of reality or expresses with the better appearance from the level of recovery technique, which restores the final form of the dead. This is caused by a request of the bereaved family with the aim of remembering the dead's final image with good looks. Methods, which are being changed by period, can be found in a record. As this funeral make-up is one field of special make-up, it is systematically made into proper application method along with the development in special materials. Thus, it will become one of the most important courses henceforth in our funeral culture available for beautifully decorating the dead's final image. In order to satisfy the request of the bereaved family, it is necessary to made floral decoration, casket cloth, and acoustic effect including the casket stage of worshipping the dead inside the funeral hall.

An Activation Plan for Make-up Illustration Education (메이크업 일러스트레이션 교육 활성화 방안)

  • Make-up illustration is a field of creativity with visible creative and artistic values; its ultimate functions include communication of information, artistic expression, and recording. Establishing the make-up illustration education environment for the twenty-first century, there is an urgent need for research and development of professional curricula for basic art education and illustration education. It is extremely important for educators and institutions teaching make-up illustration to recognize that training of highly creative and professional beau designers through systematic educational structures is the ultimate foundation for enhancing competitiveness of the beauty industry despite the present reality that there are insufficient studies and publications on beauty illustration and that there is lack of illustration lecturers and artists equipped with professional beauty knowledge. Therefore, this study was conducted to research and analyze offering of illustration subjects by 160 beauty-related vocational schools and 16 4-year undergraduate colleges in the make-up field, which is the field with most creative art activities among the three representative beauty majors, namely make-up, hair, and skin. Education of make-up illustration must not remain as simple short-term education. The curricula must be specialized for providing solid foundation of basic majors. In terms of education content, strong emphases must be made for original and creative mark-up designs as well as purposes, functions, and necessity of make-up design and illustration. The curricula must include systematic, logical and artistic elements. Through the course of this study, which researched, analyzed and proposed measures for education content of make-up illustration, it was found that make-up illustration is the most appropriate subject that fulfills both the ultimate education objectives of beauty colleges and the demand by the society for beauty professionals. It is hoped that make-up illustration is emphasized and recognized for its importance and necessity as an education subject so that similar basic major subjects will further be researched and developed for specialized education.
