  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effects of employee outcomes on the relationship between quality of employment and organizational performance and to understand the specific mechanism of the impact of employment quality on organizational performance. Although there has been a widespread debate on the merits of the quality of employment, there have been few studies dealing with how the quality of employment contributes to organizational performance. For the empirical analysis, we analyzed the mediating effect of employee outcomes on the relationship between employment quality and employee outcomes (human capital competence and collective organizational commitment) and employment quality and organizational performance for 501 Korean companies. The results showed that the higher the quality of employment, the higher the employee's human capital competence and collective organizational commitment, and the employee outcomes mediate the relationship between the quality of employment and organizational performance.

A self-reported questionnaire was conducted from July 1, 2019 to July 31, 2019, and 296 copies were used for data analysis. For data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and correlation analysis were performed, and a structural equation model was used to verify the effectiveness of parameters. Results, as the main results, first, family function and self-efficacy of the elderly were found to have a negative effect on depression, and it was confirmed that family function had a positive effect on self-efficacy. Second, it was confirmed that there is a mediating effect of self-efficacy between family function and depression in the elderly. • This study is a descriptive research study to determine the mediating effect of anxiety in the relationship between patient care communication and patient satisfaction among hospitalized patients. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires from October to December 2021. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression using the SPSS 24.0 program, and the effectiveness of the mediation effect was tested using the Sobel test. As a result of the study, there was a positive correlation between patient care communication and patient satisfaction, and a negative correlation between patient care communication and anxiety. And there was also a negative correlation between patient satisfaction and anxiety. In the relationship between patient care communication and patient satisfaction, anxiety had a partial mediating effect (z=2.93, p<.001), with an explanatory power of 38.4%. In order to improve patient satisfaction based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop a program that can improve nurses' patient care communication capabilities and reduce patients' anxiety.

  • This study explored how the family resilience of participants in self-sufficiency programs relates to their willingness to be self-sufficient and analyzed the mediating effects of family support in the relationship. The subjects of the study were 283 people in their 20s to 70s who are participating in a local self-sufficiency center in Gangwon-do. Statistical analyses were conducted using IBM SPSS 18, with descriptive statistics, difference verification and regression, and mediating effects analyzed following Baron & Kenny(1986). The results of the analysis are as follows. First, we conducted difference verification between the sociodemographic characteristics of participants in the self-sufficiency program and major variables. There was a significant difference in the willingness to be self-sufficient in terms of the caregiving family and household income. Family resilience differed significantly depending on age group, marital status, health condition, household type, caregiving family, and homeownership, while family support differed significantly in age group, marital status, health condition, household type, caregiving family, and debt. Second, we conducted a hierarchical regression analysis to determine the factors influencing the will of self-sufficiency of those participating in the self-sufficiency program and found that the better the health condition, the presence of caregiving families, and the higher the level of family resilience and family support, the higher the level of will to be self-sufficient. Third, analyses of the mediating effect following Baron & Kenny(1986) have shown that family support has a full mediating effect on the relationship between family resilience and the will to be self-sufficient. Thus, we have verified that family resilience and family support are important factors as an alternative to improving the level of willingness for self-sufficiency program participants.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effects of positive thinking in the relationship between emotional expressivity and public speaking anxiety. Participants were recruited from one university freshmen located in Gwangju city. Data were collected from 146 university freshmen. The self-reported questionnaire was used to assess the level of positive thinking, emotional expressivity, public speaking anxiety. The SPSS WIN 23.0 version program was used with Baron and Kenny's 3-Step mediating effect and Sobel test. It was examined whether there was a mediating effect of positive thinking on emotional expression and presentation anxiety. In the second stage, emotional expressivity showed a significant effect on presentation anxiety. In stage 3, emotional expressivity was not statistically significant in presentation anxiety, and positive thinking was statistically significant in presentation anxiety. Positive thinking had a total mediating effect(z=-4.57, p<.001) in the relationship between emotional expressivity and public speaking anxiety. To reduce the public speaking anxiety among university freshmen, it is necessary to develop interventions that enhance positive thinking in addition to providing emotional expressivity.
