The Effect of High School Earth Science Instruction Using Mind Map (마인드 맵을 활용한 고등학교 지구과학 수업의 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect that using mind map instruction has on the students' scientific inquiry skill and science-related attitudes in 11th grade in the earth science instruction. The objects of this study were consisted of two classes with 11th graders at K public high school in Kimhea city. The experimental group using mind map was lessoned 2 hours a week for 10 weeks. On the other hand, the controlled group was traditionally taught. Each group was consisted of 34 students. Student's science inquiry skills and science-related attitudes were assessed in pre-test, and then each group was instructed. The post-test was conducted after the instruction. Findings were as follows: First, As for the scientific inquiry skill, the result revealed that there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups. This finding means that the mind map instruction was more effectiveto improve students' scientific inquiry skills. Second, Regarding the science-related attitudes, the t-test analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups. This result implies that the mind map instruction was more effective in promoting students' attitudes toward science. In conclusion, the earth science instruction using mind map showed more effectiveness on the high school students' improvement of their science inquiry skills and science-related attitudes.

  • 최근 블로그나 RSS 등을 통해 개인이 쉽게 미디어를 생산하고 배포할 수 있게 되어 인터넷상에서는 이전보다 더 많은 정보가 생산되고 유통되고 있다. 그러나 이렇게 폭발적인 정보의 양적인 성장은 질적 성장을 동반하지 못하고 있다. 최근 생산되는 정보들의 내부를 살펴보면 가치 있는 정보들이 유기적으로 연결되어 있지 않고 산재되러 있으며 정제되지 않은 정보들과 섞여 있음을 알 수 있다. 대량으로 생산된 정보들 중에서 가치 있는 정보를 찾고 관련 정보간의 유기적 연결을 갖도록 하기 위해서는 이러한 정보들을 통합하고 정제할 필요성이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 정보를 통합하고 정제하는 방법, 즉 정보를 구조화하는 방법으로써 링크맵 방법을 제시한다. 링크맵이란 토픽맵이나 마인드맵과 비슷한 형태를 가진 링크의 모음을 맵으로 표현한 정보의 구조화 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 링크맵의 개념, 특징 및 효율적인 연결방안을 제시하며, 이러한 링크맵을 구축하기 위한 설계방안을 제시한다.

Effects of the Mind Map for Emotional Labor and Burnout: A Survey of Nurses in Outpatient Departments of Cancer Hospitals (마인드맵이 감정노동과 소진에 미치는 효과: 암전문병원 외래간호사를 중심으로)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research was to develop and evaluate the effect of a mind map for relief of emotional labor and burnout among nurses in outpatient departments in cancer hospitals. Methods: We developed a mind map to reduce emotional labor and burnout. A quasi-experimental study was used with a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected from December 2012 to April 2013. Participants were 35 nurses working in the outpatient department of a cancer hospital. The experimental group participated in the mind map program biweekly for 10 weeks. Data were analyzed using $x^2$-test, Mann-Whitney U test, paired t-test, and Wilcoxon sign rank test with the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The physical burnout and total burnout scores decreased significantly in the intervention group which took the mind map program. Conclusion: Findings indicate that the mind map is an effective intervention to reduce burnout in outpatient department nurses.

  • Mind mapping is an efficient thinking skill which utilizes the whole left-right brain. The several studies which examine the effects of the mind map activities on the school education attain the desirable enhancement of the students' schoolwork achievement & learning attitude. We now propose the utilization of the mind map activities at the safety education in order to decrease the students' accidents in school and to enhance the awareness of safety.

  • 우리 나라의 건설산업은 건설시장 개방으로 외국기업과의 경쟁체제 돌입이 불가피하고, 건설정책과 각종 행정규제의 급변으로 대응전략 수립이 불가피하다. 또한, 건설정보의 지식관리체제의 부재와 건설지식관리시스템의 미구축, 그리고 정보 공유와 공공정보 공개 마인드의 미성숙으로 인하여 적극적인 대처가 불가능한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 건설업체, 설계사무소, 감리업체 등이 안고 있는 제반 현황을 고찰하여 건설지식관리시스템 구현방안을 제시 이를 건설지식관리시스템에 적용하여 국내 건설분야 건설지식 맵을 도출하고 환용 실태를 파악하고, 해외 파국에서 지식관리의 활용관련 자료를 분석하여 국제기준 및 국내 건설환경에 적합한 지식 맵 및 분류체계 적용한 시스템 개발 건설업체에 적용하였다.

  • The use of the Internet of things plays a major role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and a series of tasks of accumulating, converging, analyzing and reusing various data and services becomes very important. Because the pace and scope if the paradigm shift in Fourth Industrial Revolution is so rapid and unpredictable, the development and utilization of a system to fulfill this role for IOT are urgently required. In this paper, we introduce the Web-based IOT management system, which connects the IOT with OKMindmap, which is a domestic open source software and service, and the Node-RED service. This system combines the advantages of OKMindmap with the advantages of Node-RED, which is capable of visual component based programming, so that it can easily and flexibly connect the IOT based on Web browsers, and various data and services can be integrated and linked. We developed a camera module, a temperature and humidity sensor module, and the motor control module in Raspberry PI basically, and tested the operation successfully. We plan to extend the IOT component gradually by using Arduino and System On Chip.

  • Art Collaborative advertising uses creative works that are not related directly to the product and recreates it as a more valuable product. Creative thinking acts as a core value. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of creative thinking using mind map and SCAMPER technique in art collaboration class. After analyzing the art collaboration advertisement class for 6 students in middle school, we analyzed characteristics between creative technique and creativity through student activities and work. The results were as follows. First, creative thinking ability of students who experienced art collaboration showed flexibility and originality in SCAMPER, and fluency in mind map. Second, throughout the course, we were able to observe elaboration, which embodied tough ideas and developed depth. This study will contribute to the research related to the improvement of students' creative convergence case by meeting two or more areas and collaborating on each core competency.

  • In this paper, this app is an online learning tool web application that helps learners learn efficiently. It discusses how learners can improve their learning efficiency in these three aspects: retrieval practice, systematization, metacognition. Through this web service, learners can proceed with learning with a flash card-based retrieval practice. In this case, a method of managing a flash card in a form similar to a directory-file system using a composite pattern is described. Learners can systematically organize their knowledge by converting flash cards into a mind map. The color of the mind map varies according to the learner's learning progress, and learners can easily recognize what they know and what they do not know through color. In this case, it is proposed to build a deep learning model to improve the accuracy of an algorithm for determining and predicting learning progress.

  • The reactive web service provides a related word recommendation system using the TextRank algorithm and a word-based idea generation service selected by the user. In the related word recommendation system, the method of weighting each word using the TextRank algorithm and the probability output method using SoftMax are discussed. The idea generation service discusses the idea generation method and the artificial intelligence reinforce-learning method using mini-GPT. The reactive web discusses the linkage process between React, Spring Boot, and Flask, and describes the overall operation method. When the user enters the desired topic, it provides the associated word. The user constructs a mind map by selecting a related word or adding a desired word. When a user selects a word to combine from a constructed mind-map, it provides newly generated ideas and related patents. This web service can share generated ideas with other users, and improves artificial intelligence by receiving user feedback as a horoscope.
