DB 서비스 평가 ④- 중앙고용정보원‘워크넷’

  • 통계청의 8월 고용동향과 경제활동 인구조사에 따르면, 지난달 국내 실업률은 3.5%로 실업 인구 수가 80만명에 이른 것으로 나타났다. 이중 20대 청년실업자가 차지하는 비율이 40.7%로 전체 실업자의 절반에 육박하고 있어 현재 청년실업 문제가 매우 심각한 것으로 조사됐다. 특히 최근 들어 벤처기업의 1사 1인 채용운동 등 각계에서 고용안정을 위한 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있음에도 불구하고 실업난이 수그러들 기미를 보이지 않음에 따라 취업 알선을 위한 보다 정확하고 신속한 정보 제공이 요구되고 있다. 더구나 중앙고용정보원의 워크넷이나 중소기업청의 인력정보망 등 온라인을 통한 다양한 구인∙구직 사이트들이 활성화돼 있어 구직 희망자들이 적극 활용하고 있는데, 내수침체가 장기화되면서 고용 사정은 좀처럼 개선되지 않고 있다. 2004년 현재 온라인상으로만 채용공고를 하는 기업은 전체 기업의 30% 정도이며, 앞으로는 온라인을 통한 구인구직 활동이 더욱 활발해질 것으로 전망되고 있다. 실제 인터넷에서 채용정보 전문 서비스는 물론 분야별, 지역별로 구인구직 정보를 제공하고 있는 서비스를 합하면 350여개가 넘는다. 이 중 눈에 띄는 서비스가 바로‘워크넷’이다. ‘워크넷’은 노동부 산하 중앙고용정보원이 운영하는 구인구직 전문 사이트로서, 공공기관이 운영한다는 점에서 정보의 신뢰성과 전문성이 기대된다. 특히 하반기 채용 시즌을 맞아 구인구직활동이 더욱 활발해 질것으로 예상되기 때문에 이번 10월 DB서비스 평가에서는‘워크넷’을 소개하고자 한다.

A Study on the Information-Seeking Behavior of ST Information Users of the KISTI (KISTI 과학.기술정보 이용자의 정보추구행태 연구)

  • The purpose of this study Is to analyze and describe the characteristics of the information needs and information seeking behavior of ST information users of the KISTI. Questionnaires were distributed to the ST information users in the academic, industrial, and scientific sectors via mail. The role of the KISTI as the specialized information source and intermediary for other institutional information sources as well as individual users and the need for improving the strategies for customer-based services and collection development were evaluated. Major findings include the need for a more comprehensive effort to collect, preserve, and communicate the ST information resources. the need for much broader collection of journals and conference proceedings to provide the documents "on demand" for users, and the need to improve DDS in general.

  • With the development of modern society, we are all living in a world where information is shared through mass media and environment. Just as there was an identifier for the approach of information in the past analog environment, there is a demand for the continuous development and research of an original identifier for each and every digital contents of the changing digital environment. In order to present the need for standardization of effective construction concerning digital contents, this study examines the identifiers system structure of ISBN and ISSN of the analog environment and URL, URN, URC, which are under the URI system of the digital environment. After analyzing the problems of different URL identifiers construction in each university library's OPAC system, this study presents a standard device of effective identifiers patterns.

  • Seoul City has been operating 17 public libraries to bridge the digital gap in the information society. Digital collection that has used recently, is providing various information services and information sources such as Internet. DVDs, satellite broadcasts and plan to offer service with more contents in the near future. In an attempt to facilitate the use of digital archives in public libraries in Seoul, this study thus applies marketing strategy to Electronic Information Center in the S Library and techniques can contribute a dynamic approach to total strategy development for library professionals that will ensure effective management and the achievement for their goals.

A Study on Digital Humanities Research Guides of Academic Libraries in the U.S. (대학도서관의 디지털 인문학 연구지원 가이드에 관한 연구 - 미국 대학도서관 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • In this study, the current status of digital humanities(DH) research support guide service, which is increasing recently in research-oriented academic libraries in the United States, was analyzed by comparing the contents provided by each institution's Website. Based on the ranking of research-focused academic libraries with the largest volume of books in North America as of 2018-19 in Association of Research Libraries(ARL) statistics, the service contents of 30 institutions providing DH research support guide service were analyzed. The criteria for analysis are 8 components of services presented in previous studies: (1) tools and technology, (2) funding, (3) community, (4) pedagogy, (5) projects, (6) resources, (7) publications and consultations, and (8) workshops and training. As a result of the analysis, it was found that most of the institutions operating the DH research support guide service provided 'DH resources', and more than half of the institutions were providing 'DH tools and technology' and 'DH community' information. In addition, most institutions are operating the DH research support guide service in cooperation with the library itself, on-campus research institutes and centers, or other departments for DH publication and project consultation, so they focused on research support information services through consulting. In the future, discussions on the DH research support guide service operation plan of domestic academic libraries and the competency of service personnel should be continued.

Updating Building Layer of Digital Map Using Airborne Digital Camera Image (디지털항공영상을 이용한 수치지도의 건물레이어 갱신)

  • As the availability of images from airborne digital camera with high resolution is expanded, a lot of concern are shown about the production of orthoimage and digital map. This study presents the method of updating digital map using orthoimage from airborne digital camera image. Images were georectified using GPS surveying data. For the generation of orthoimage, Lidar DEM was used. The absolute positional accuracy of orthoimage was evaluated using GPS surveying data. And that of the building layer of digital map was estimated using the existed digital map at the scale of 1:1,000. The absolute positional accuracy of orthoimage was as followed: RMSE in X and Y were ${\pm}0.076m$ and ${\pm}0.294m$. The RMSE of the building layer were ${\pm}0.250m$ and ${\pm}0.210m$ in X and Y directions, respectively. The RMSE of the digital map using orthoimage from Aerial Digital Camera image fell within allowable error range established by NGII. Consequently, updating digital map using orthoimage from Aerial Digital Camera image can be applied to various fields including the construction of the framework data and the GIS of local government.

  • This study seeks to propose and develop library science courses required in the digital age by investigating overseas LIS courses and surveying field librarians. Such courses must help the future librarian develop familiarity and skill with emerging technologies. As a result, required courses in the digital era were found to be: 'Design and Management of Databases', 'Library Planning, Marketing, and Assessment', 'Understanding Information Technology for Managing Digital Collections', and 'Information and Communication in a Digital Age' in that order, and should therefore be offered as core courses. In addition, 'Service for Information Disadvantaged Users' and 'Organization and Utilization of Web resources' were derived. The study also recommends different required courses based on different librarian types and duties.

  • As the importance of ICT use in education grows, this study analyzes the differences and characteristics of perceptions of educational fields and industries on the use of Edutech, and proposes policy suggestions for revitalizing Edutech by deriving requirements. Accordingly, a survey was conducted on 201 teachers and 100 companies, and IPA analysis, Borich's needs, basic statistics, and t-test were conducted to find out the necessity and utilization of Edutech. As a result, they were highly aware of the need for the use of Edutech, and perceived that the support or accessibility for Edutech was insufficient. Accordingly, direct exchange between on-site teachers and companies from the product development stage to utilization and follow-up management, professional support for the introduction of Edutech, simplification of the purchase process and deregulation, customized support and training programs according to the characteristics of teachers are required. In the future, it is necessary to consider the changes in education that will occur after COVID-19 and establish appropriate product development and spread strategies.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate what the characteristics of word-of-mouth on SNS and how these factors credibility for information's source and acceptance of word-of-mouth. We proposed study model was set through overall theoretical investigation. The 179 Valid survey data were gathered from the user who have prior experience in SNS. According to factor analysis, characteristic of word-of-mouth information on SNS were classified into consensus and neutrality. And credibility for information's source and acceptance of word-of-mouth were composed sing dimension. The Hypothesis inspection says that all variables were positively correlated with each other. And consensus and valance have positive influence on credibility for information's source. Also credibility for information's source influence on acceptance of word-of-mouth and valance have positive affect trust for information's source. Several academic and practical implications are yield accordingly. Especially this study intention to provide basis which can be used for all business's effective marketing activity.

  • Today, as we are going into digital information environment along with the development of information technology, there are changes in the style of information users. In particular. with the help of computer users can more easily access the original texts and approach to information providers than ever. At the same time, we are trying to use more efficiently some specialized contents in the web-pages. Contrary to traditional mediation-centered collection management, we start realizing that we are expected to bind selected contents with users who search these ones. In this study, I examined problems on collection management and proposed a more advanced content management skill as a solution for those problems. According to on-site questionnaires, The Main factors of user-centered content management are user factors, intermediary factors, and service ones.
