  • Capstone design is silk engineering in the field of education, the program requires contractors, not the industrial ability to adapt with the creative overall design training programmes in design education in terms of the applicability of that remains to be seen. In this study, the University of art and industrial design major, konkuk University School of design of the Capstone design 2011 and take advantage of the performance, and the curriculum is mainly applied for the technology. Design and development should be followed for experimental studies and a wealth of knowledge for the creation of advanced technology and professional support for institutions and industries to improve practical skills and lessons based on the Convention. This course through the patent, utility model, design, intellectual property, such as money to improve the practical skills of students to gauge the capacity of enterprises through the design, companies will come up with a gauge, and enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs in the community support instrument.

A Method of Functional Game Design for the Silver Generation (실버세대를 위한 기능성 게임 디자인 방법)

  • Because of a rising in the standard of living and the development of medical technology, Korea is expected to become an aging society more than 14% elderly population and the silver generation will be responsible for the large portion of economic activities. The silver generation has relatively diminished in perception, learning, and exercise due to the physical aging. Therefore, it is important the development of game contents which can constantly provide the maintenance function of physical and mental health and the functional exercise with spending the leisure time. In this paper, we suggest a design method for developing the game contents which are able to help the silver generation to strengthen their lower extremities and to enjoy their leisure time. The proposed method will enable to lead the silver generation to carry on the physical activities with the amusement of playing a game through the functional design concepts appropriate for the ability of the silver generation's perception and physical activities, an adaptive game process customized by the individual capability and a user-friendly sensory interface.

  • The occupational execution technique and the ability of people has been changed along with the change of thinking and the development of complicated social structure. The needs of learner's self-controlled learning system is arise to increase the occupational execution technique and adaptation in such a changing social environment. To meet these needs, we must develop systematic approach on the module-type educational material system. The purpose of this study lies on developing the module-type educational material system and its application in aspects of occupational execution ability. Based on the job analysis of advertising design, 1 analyze the learning ability for the occupational execution and abstract knowledge, function, attitude from each learning category of each learning ability. All these processes are the basis of developing the module-type educational material system. and the system will be appreciated in many other fields not only on advertising design.

  • 이 연구에서는 21세기 정보화 시대의 중요성을 감안하여 창의적 문제해결 프로세스인 디자인 씽킹과 그 첫 번째 단계인 '공감' 단계에 초점을 맞추어 ChatGPT를 페르소나 기법과 결합하여 사용자 이해와 공감을 강화하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 통해 스탠퍼드 D.School의 디자인씽킹프로세스를 기반으로 한 창의적 문제 해결을 강조하고, ChatGPT를 활용하여 페르소나를 개발하고 심층 인터뷰를 통해 사용자를 더 잘 이해하고 공감하는 방법을 탐구한다. 프로그램을 통해 학생들이 실제로 창의인적 문제 해결 능력과 공감 능력을 향상시킬 수 있도록 하여, 미래를 대비하는 역량을 효과적으로 강화하는 교육 방법을 제시한다.

Graphic Design Curricula to Improve Practical Skills Contents (실무수행능력 향상을 위한 시각디자인 교과과정 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine university graphic design curricula to cultivate creative specialized manpower equipped with practical skills. To attain the goal, this author investigated the curricula of four-year, three-year, and two-year universities located in the capital area including Seoul and interviewed those working in 10 specialized design companies located in Seoul and Incheon. According to the findings of analyzing the curricula, four-year, three-year, and two-year universities all emphasize practices based on projects and inquiries more rather than the mastery of basic design. Among the areas, publication graphic designs are emphasized the most, and the next are visual multimedia designs. However, advertising marketing designs are not or hardly emphasized in the curricula. But specialized university education demanded by those specialized design companies is the education emphasizing the mastery of basic design more rather than practices based on projects and inquiries. Concerning the cultivation of specialized graphic designers having central roles as the pillars of knowledge industry or creative industry demanded in this age, it is needed to have a new perspective to reorganize specialized education grounded on close cooperation and favorable relationship between universities in charge of specialized education and those specialized companies.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution represented by AI technology, various AI education is being conducted in the education field. However, AI education in the educational field is mostly one-off project education or teacher-centered education. In order to practice student-centered, field-oriented education, an artificial intelligence education program was developed based on design thinking. The AI education program based on design thinking will improve understanding and ability to use AI through the process of solving everyday problems with AI, and will develop the ability to create new values beyond understanding AI. It is expected that various AI education will take place in the educational field through design thinking-based artificial intelligence education programs.

The Effects of Medical Service Design Thinking on Preliminary Health Administrators' Empathy Ability (의료서비스 디자인씽킹 교육이 예비보건행정가의 공감 능력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of the study is to verify the effectiveness the Preliminary Health Administrators(PHA)' Empathy Ability(EA) through the application of Medical Service Design Thinking(MSDT) conducted by undergraduate school of Intrapreneurship education. The pre-post questionnaire survey was conducted on 41 students in the second year of the Department of Health Administration after applying MSDT for 15 weeks from March to June, 2018 at a college in Daegu. The main results are as follows. MSDT was positive influenced on the improvement of Empathic Imagine, Empathic awakening of the PHA' EA. Especially, male student or aged 20-25, it was effective on the improvement of Empathic Imagine and Empathic awakening of the participants. Further research is needed on the development of MSDT programs for each grade to improve the empathy of PHA.

Data Literacy Education in Design Curriculum of Higher Education Focused on Development of Design-Data Convergence Curriculum (디자인 교과과정에서의 데이터 문해력 교육에 관한 연구 -디자인-데이터 융합 교과 개발 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study explores convergence curriculum for design and data science, and applies data science knowledge on undergraduate design classes for designer's data literacy. First, related studies about data literacy education for non-data science major's, and data driven design project cases are explored, then design competency and data competency based on NCS are studied. Then this study developed 3 step design-data convergence curriculum model for designers' data literacy. The curriculum model is applied on case study classes, which are Big data and UX design(2) classes. The learning results and student's feedback of the case study classes are collected and analyzed to prove the design-data convergence curriculum, and the results provide findings and implications of the design-data convergence class case study.
