In this study, we developed a visual novel game as one of the donation campaign strategies. In study 1, we developed a visual novel game for the elderly who live alone. In study 2, we also examine how game affects personal distress and empathic concern, the emotions that trigger help behavior. The results showed that game can promote both emotions effectively. Moreover, empathic concern completely mediated between game and donation intention. This result suggests that visual novel games can be an effective tool for stimulating user's altruistic motivation to do donation behavior.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the influence of child care center managers' coaching leadership on teachers' motivational self-concepts via middle managers' coaching leadership. Teachers' motivational self-concepts consisted of personal self-concept and social self-concept. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 475 child care center teachers regarding teachers' recognition of the coaching leadership of managers and middle managers and motivational self-concepts of teachers. To analyze the collected data, the path was examined through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, structural analysis using Amos, and the mediating effect was confirmed by conducting the Sobel Test. Results: The middle manager's coaching leadership was found to mediate the pathways from the manager's coaching leadership to the teacher's social self-concept, but did not mediate the personal self-concept of teachers. Conclusion/Implications: This study showed that the manager's coaching leadership was mediated by the middle manager's coaching leadership and that the manager's coaching leadership had an influence on the social self-concept of teachers. These results imply that both managers and middle managers need to develop coaching leadership skills in order to improve the motivational self-concept of teachers, which is important for work efficiency at child care centers.
The purpose of this study is to provide the model for goal planning system and explore the affecting factors in suitability of goal planning system and possibility of goal attainment. The findings in a factor analysis of the sample of Korean firms indicate that the factors suggested by theories and previous studies can be summarized to 40 implications and then 7 groups including attachment of top managers, systemicity, participation system, motivation, alignment of top-down & bottom-up. adjustment for environmental changes, goal content. In addition, the findings in multiple regression analyses show that goal content, alignment of top-down & bottom-up, and adjustment for environmental changes are positively, significantly influence the recognition level of employees on the suitability of goal planning system. On the other hand, goal content, attachment of top managers, and motivation are significantly influence the recognition level of employees on the possibility of goal attainment. This study provides the checklist for the suitability of goal planning system and various implications for practitioners.

Based on social cognitive theory, self-efficacy in the context of learning has been steadily emphasized as an indicator of students' motivation and performance. The premise for developing such an instrument was that a specific measure of Physics self-efficacy was deemed to be an important predictor of the change processes necessary to improve students' physics understanding. In this study we described the process of developing and validating an instrument to measure students' beliefs in their abilities to perform essential tasks in physics and then investigated high school students' self-efficacy about physics learning and performance. Validity and reliability of PSEI were tested using various statistical techniques including the Cronbach alpha coefficient, exploratory factor analysis. The result of factor analysis supported the contention that the Physics Self-Efficacy Inventory (PSEI) was a multidimensional construct consisting of at least four dimensions: understanding and application of Physics concepts, achievement motivation, confidence for physics laboratory, confidence for Mathematics. The result showed that Kroean high schools students have low Physics self-efficacy for the all four dimensions. Therefore, researchers should focus on development of students' Physics self-efficacy. In addition, the instrument may lead to further understanding of student behavior, which in turn can facilitate the development of strategies that may increase students' aspiration to understand and study Physics. More specifically, by using the PSEI as a pre- and post-test indicator, instructors can gain insight into whether students' confidence levels increase as they engage in learning Physics, and, in addition, what type of teaching strategies are most effective in building deeper understanding of Physics concepts.where they freely exchanged opinions and feedback for constructing better collective ideas.
Relationship marketing has been dealt with as an effective strategy for customer loyalty in prior research. It seems to be essential that organizations should make efforts to develop successful relationship between the organizations and the customers. However, a customers' voluntary efforts are also needed to strengthen the relationship meaningfully. Relationships are built on the foundations of mutuality. In other words, customers' efforts are necessary for relationship development, as well as an organization's efforts. Hereby, the role of customers for the development of a relationship with an organization has been overlooked in previous research so far. This study applied the Self-Determination Theory (SDT) to explain the role of customer motivation in developing customer relationship. Thus, the author chose customers who have experienced medical service recently as survey participants. Then, this paper verified the path relationships between self-determination factors (autonomy, perceived competence, relatedness) and relational factors(shared responsibility, commitment, relationship retention). It suggested that role of customers is inevitable in developing the relationship. In conclusion, this research has several implications on relationship marketing. For service providers, they should understand that the customer's perceived self-determination can improve tangible and intangible performance in relationship development.

This study was undertaken to identify factors affecting the mental health of nursing students, including career motivation, sense of humor, and problem-solving ability, and to provide data for improving mental health of nursing students. This research enrolled 235 nursing students in B and Y cities. Data were collected from October 22 to October 31, 2018, and analyzed by applying t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression, using the SPSS/WIN 22.0. The average score for mental health was determined to be 2.19±0.77. Ed. Negative correlation was obtained between mental health and career motivation (r=-0.443, p<0.001), mental health and sense of humor (r=0.400, p<0.001), and mental health and problem-solving ability (r=0.465, p<0.001). Regression analysis showed that 33.4% variance in the mental health of nursing students is affected by gender (β=-0.121, p=0.033), pocket money (β=0.123, p=0.028), peer relation (β=0.165, p=0.004), sense of humor (β=-0.168, p=0.012), and problem-solving ability (β=-0.186, p=0.006). Data from this study indicates a necessity to repeat the study for identifying general characteristics and psychological factors that control an individual, and technical factors that can be acquired through learning. Taken together, we believe that the factors included and indicated in this study influence the mental health of nursing students.
As people get to aware that the traditional teacher-centered education can not develop individual students' diversity and creativity and cope with the rapidly changing future society, Korean government has emphasized the learner-centered education since the 7th curriculum. Under this background, we have analyzed the problems of mathematics education that teachers recognized and the features of mathematics textbooks that they developed within the framework of leaner-centered education on the basis of the resources developed from 'Student-centered mathematics textbook improvement teacher research group in 2015.' As a result of using the framework of 'Learner-centered psychological principles (APA, 1997)' for analysis, teachers pointed out the problems related to the principles of Motivational and emotional influences on learning, Individual differences in learning, Developmental influences on learning, Nature of the learning process, and Construction of knowledge, in order. The features of textbook teachers developed reflected the principles of Nature of the learning process, Construction of knowledge, and Motivational and emotional influences on learning, in order. Finally, as we have compared teachers' recognition of the problems with the features of the textbooks developed, most of the problems teachers recognized are reflected in the textbooks; however, the Cognitive and metacognitive factor takes higher possession on the textbooks compared with the problems being recognized, and the Motivational and affective factor takes lower possession on the textbooks compared with the problems being recognized. Accordingly, we have been able to search for the solution to realize the learner-centered education through math textbooks.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of group success on organizational commitment in organizational situations. It also aimed to investigate the dynamics in the relevance of motivational attitudes to the individual and group level variables(collective efficacy, group cohesiveness). This study used a multi-level model and tested a series of hypotheses through meso-mediation procedure. The results from 613 naval officials in 36 groups provided evidence that; (1) collective efficacy mediated the relationship between group success and group cohesiveness, (2) the cross-level main effects of group success and collective efficacy were shown on vocationa[l self-efficacy, (3) group cohesiveness exerted positive influence on organizational commitment and (4) the meso-mediation effects among the variables at the multi-level were revealed. It was found that the degree of work motivation and motivational attitudes depended on the group's contextual factors, and that each group's shared perceptions on group performance outcomes could be an important motivational source and cornerstone leading to group cohesiveness. The implications and limitations of these study as well as the direction for future study were discussed.

This study aims to investigate how religious orientation of college students and the religious fundamentalism are related to their subjective well-being, and the interaction of religious orientations and the religious fundamentalism on their well-being. The participants were 374 college students who studies at an university located in Seoul, whose average of age were 22.54 (SD=4.79). The psychological tests used in this research included the following: I/E-R, the Religious Fundamentalism Scale, the Spiritual Well-Being Scale, Emotion Frequency Test, Satisfaction with Life Scale, Subjective Happiness Scale, Life Satisfaction Motivation Scale, and Life Satisfaction Expectancy Scale. Although religious students experienced more religious well-being than non-religious students, their subjective well-being were not higher than those of non-religious students. Results reveal that religious orientations were positively related to subjective well-being such as life satisfaction, subjective happiness, and positive emotions, as well as spiritual well-being. However, those covariance was approximately 4~6% only. Religious fundamentalism was also positively related to spiritual well-being and life satisfaction, it was negatively related to the motivation to live though. On the other hand, moderate effects of the religious fundamentalism on the relations of religious orientations to most of subjective well-being variables. Results of simple main effect analyses indicated that the students who were strongly oriented toward religion with higher religious fundamentalism showed significantly higher existential well-being, positive emotions, life satisfaction, subjective happiness, and especially their motivation and expectation for future life, whereas there were no significant differences in subjective well-being of students with lower religious fundamentalism by religious orientation. This finding suggests that some religiosity variables could affect human well-being with interactions

The psychological problems following the experiences of school-violence could be more important than the physical problems. Victims could suffer from fear, depression, anger, lowered self-esteem, suicidal thought, and personality changes. To study the risk factors for school violence and the psychiatric problems after the experiences to school-violence provide us important informations to prevent and solve the problems of school violence. We examined clinical characteristics and psychosocial backgrounds of 13 adolescents who visited the psychiatric clinic after exposures to school violence from September, 1996 to May, 1997. The clinical data included intensity, motivations, durations, and methods of violence, psychiatric symptoms following exposure, findings of psychological test, and treatment course. The socioeconomic data included developmental characteristics of subjects, family characteristics, school life, and peer relationships. Of the 13 adolescents who experienced exposure to violence, 8 have experienced chronic psychiatric disturbances, 5 experienced transient psychiatric symptoms such as anxiety, depression, suicidal attempt who eventually returned to home and school life. Of the 8 adolescents who experienced chronic psychiatric disturbances, 4 experienced PTSD and depression lasting 3-6 months more, otherwise 4 showed converted features, such as aggressive behavioral disorder or perpetrator by strong compensatory effects after psychological shock. The subjects who have experienced chronic psychiatric disturbance have clinical characteristics such as physical or emotional abuse, physical illness or handicap, defects of ego functionings, and lack of family support. In summary, victims by school-violence manifested serious psychiatric disturbances, and they had clinically significant risk factors and some of them became perpetrators of school-violence.
