Generally, Bibliotherapy is aimed to cure the emotional or psychological wounds by using books for common users as self-treatment. But, Bibliotherapy for disabled people is carried out by alternative formats instead of a book. In library for the disabled, it is developing various bibliotherapy programs, but not yet activated. In order to carry out bibliotherapy, it is necessary to improve the bibliotherapy catalog preferentially. However, most Bibliotherapy catalogs are created for the common users, not for disabled people specially. How to make the special catalog for disabled people and catalog of alternative formats according to pathological symptom or situation is still a big problem. Basing on this premise, the author examined the necessity of bibliotherapy catalog for disabled people, and the present situation of alternative materials for the bibliotherapy. And then, the author proposes plans of bibliotherapy for how to build the bibliotherapy for disabled people.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the aspects of teacher librarians' book recommendation services for individual readers. For this purpose, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the teacher librarians of elementary school. Through the analysis of the collected data, the process of the teacher librarians' book recommendation, the main characteristics of the book recommendation, and the factors considering in the book recommendation, as well as information on major issues that arise in the book recommendation activity were derived and presented. Specifically, it was confirmed that the teacher librarians's book recommendation process was implemented in the following stages: questioning and interviewing, book recommendation, and follow-up. And, it was investigated that the factors considered when recommending books were students' interest, reading history, book fun, reading level, book level, teacher, class, and curriculum. In addition, it was confirmed that differences occurred in the experiences and perceptions of teacher librarians in the process of considering these factors. These results can provide the implications for resolving the problems of the teacher librarians who perform book recommendation services.

In this study, in order to expand the access points of reading materials, a reading material classification (RMC) system based on the facets of book use was devised. The facets of books that can be considered by book users in the reading situation were content-analyzed. Also, through network analysis, subject headings adjacent to one subject heading were grouped into related subject headings. The RMC developed in this study can be used as a tool that provides various access points to help book users search in the library OPAC and other reading information systems.

This study analyzed bibliographic attributes related to the selection and use of reading materials based on data on books borrowed or purchased together in order to understand the properties of reading materials that have complex user needs from various perspectives. As a result of creating co-occurrence matrices of bibliographic attribute terms by dividing them into 26 sub-attribute units related to KDC main class, target reader, and user age, and performing network analyses, the details and prominent mediating role of bibliographic attributes of reading materials were identified. The results of this study will be helpful in designing facets of reading information systems, including library OPAC, in the future.

This study is trying to propose an academic system of science of reading through analysing this area in United States as well as Japan and the it's curriculums of departments and majors of the undergraduate and graduate schools in Korea. In the case of United States, it is divided into sociology, physiology, psychology and pedagogy of reading. Japan's research area of Science of Reading is divided into sociology, physiology, psychology and pedagogy of reading under the influence of the United States. However, Murofushi Takeshi(室伏武) divides this area into 5 categories of curriculum such as basic research field, reading material field, reading education method field, reading education management field, and adjacent fields to science of reading. According to the result of comparing the it's courses in Korea, it's areas are divided into sociology, psychology, pedagogy of reading, science of reading materials and adjacent fields to science of reading. Based on the above contents, a new academic system of science of reading can be divided into basics of science of reading, readers field, reading material field, reading professionals' education field, and adjacent fields to science of reading.

The students were instructed to prepare the materials for the reading discussion as they read books by the analytical reading, in order to make them know the efficient method of the reading discussion as activity of after reading. As the results, They understood the plot and substance of the book, comprehend the whole subject and selected the subject of the discussion better after they read books by the analytical reading than after they didn't. But it's not satisfactory to communicate their own ideas mutually during the reading discussion as before.

Reading activities and after-reading-programs were appled to students of 4 school years from 2 to 5 school year who read subject books separately, in order to activate reading activities after reading. After-reading-programs make, supply and utilize analytical reading materials of subject books for 5 days of reading camp and that consist of composition of impressions of the book, presentation of that reading discussion and a picture of impressions of the book. The results show that most of all composition describing their impressions of the book contributes to activation of reading activities after reading very much among four types of after-readings. The next reading discussion is effective and presentation Is also good. But a picture of their impressions of the book does not vet promote activation of after reading activities.

The objective of this study is to examine the correlation of reading quantities in different developmental phases and various media(magazines, books, comic books). I surveyed reading quantifies in developmental periods, by questionnaires. As a methodology of empirical study, data was collected from 187 students at the Chonbuk National University. Statistical techniques of a Pearson Correlation Test were employed according to my hypotheses. The results of this survey are as follows: 1) reading quantities of general book of specific period is correlated with general book reading quantities of specific period. 2) reading quantities of magazine of specific period is correlated with magazine reading quantities of other period 3) reading quantities of comic book of specific period is correlated with comic book reading quantities of other period 4) correlation among reading quantity of middle school period and high school period is high.

Nowadays the researches on the reading materials about Mathematics are emphasized and quitely active. But most researches have just proposed the lists of books or materials of the reading activities in Mathematics. Therefore we choose the subject for this study as the analysis of the characteristic attitudes about Mathematics for 3-leveled (high, middle, low) high-school students who have studied Mathematics using the reading activities. After the applications of reading activities for leveled students, we have the following results. For the low-leveled students, the high-leveled(=difficult to understand) reading materials may loose the confidence and interest about Mathematics. The appropriate reading materials for leveled students will increase the interest and change the attitude about Mathematics. We expect that the reading activities in Mathematics extend the logical and rational thinking power that our society has required.
