This study investigated the effect of parental attachment on interpersonal competence and psychological well-being of college students. 625 college students completed self-administered questionnaires. Reliability test, ANOVA, Duncan ex-post analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis on data were used. Study results showed that parental attachement and interpersonal competence had significant effects on college students' psychological well-being. Results also depicted gender differences in the relationship of study variables; students' interpersonal competence demonstrated partial mediation effect in the relation of attachment with the same-sex parent and psychological well-being, while complete mediation effect in that of attachment with the opposite-sex parent and psychological well-being, These findings suggest that gender-conscious university policies to promote interpersonal competence among students are greatly needed to ensure psychological well-being of the student population.

Dental hygienists students are required to be able to interact and maintain relationships with dentists and patients. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the relations affecting interpersonal competence of some dental hygiene students, and to provide the necessary data for nurturing competent dental hygienists. The survey was conducted on 293 dental hygiene students in M university. The level of significance was .05 and the statistical program was SPSS win 25.0. As a result of interpersonal competence according to general characteristics and interpersonal characteristics, significant results were found in the degree of human relations and new environmental adaptability. As a result of correlation analysis between subvariables of interpersonal competence, all showed significant positive correlation. Factors affecting interpersonal competence showed significant positive effects on the degree of human relationship(p=.019) and the new environmental adaptability(p=.001). Interpersonal competence are important in the clinic. Therefore, a convergent analysis of the factors influencing is required.

The purpose of this study based on descriptive research is to examine the convergent relationship of interpersonal competence, self-determination motivation and self-regulated learning ability in nursing students. Data collected from 251 nursing students at a university located in C province from June, 2018 to July, 2018 are analyzed using SPSS/WIN 21.0. As a result, there are positive correlation between interpersonal competence(r=.361, p<.001) and self-determination motivation(r=.466, p<.001) and self-regulated-learning-ability. Interpersonal competence and self-determination motivation have not meaningful relationship(r=.091, p=.148). It is turned out that interpersonal competence and self-determination motivation are influenced on the self-regulated learning ability respectively. Based on these results, research should be continued on the developing new educational methods through convergence of factors by analyzing relevant factors to enhance interpersonal competence and self-determination motivation that affect self-regulated learning ability.

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of adolescent's self-esteem and psychological separation from parents on their interpersonal competence. The study sample consisted of 625 high school students in Seoul, Korea who completed a self-administered questionnaire. The data were analyzed using t-tests, correlations, and hierarchical regression analysis. The main findings were as follows. First, the level of interpersonal competence differed by gender. Second, a higher level of interpersonal competence among adolescents was significantly correlated with a higher level of adolescent's positive self-esteem, lower level of adolescent's negative self-esteem, and higher level of psychological separation. Third, positive self-esteem was the most significant predictor of adolescents' interpersonal competence, followed by parent's regulation. Overall, the results suggest that self-esteem is very important to promote positive interpersonal competence among adolescents. Therefore, programs to address such issues are strongly needed.

This study looked at the influence of MMORPG's motivation on interpersonal competence through MMORPG's social usage. For this, 496 surveys were retrieved. As a result, the social usage of MMORPG was completely mediated in the relationship between motivation and interpersonal competence. The social usage of MMORPG has a positive full mediation effect on the relationship between the social relationships motivation and the interpersonal competence. And Immersion/Escapism motivation, the social usage of MMORPG has reduced the negative effect on the interpersonal competence.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of communicative competence, mother's psychological control, and family strengths on interpersonal competence. The subjects of 285 college students who were enrolled in Gyeonggi province were surveyed for data collection. Hierarchical regression analysis was performed considering the influence of control variables. Main results of the study, with college students' gender, grade, birth order and number of siblings controlled, are as follows: Communicative competence had a significant effect on overall interpersonal competence, while mother's psychological control and family strengths had no significant effect on overall interpersonal competence. Next, the results of the study for each sub-factors of interpersonal competence are as follows: Communicative competence was found to be a variable that influence all the sub-variables of interpersonal competence including relationship formation and initiation, claiming for rights or discomfort, consideration for others, conflict management, and appropriate self-opening. Mother's psychological control has a negative effect only on conflict management, and family strengths has an effect on relationship formation and initiation, and appropriate self-opening.

This study was to identify the factors influencing the interpersonal competence in nursing students. Data collection was conducted on 167 university students from November to December 2019. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression using the JAMOVI program. As a result of the study, the interpersonal competence of the subjects was different according to gender, personality, life satisfaction and weight satisfaction, and there was a positive correlation between psychological well-being and self-esteem. Factors affecting interpersonal competence include positive personality groups (β=.31, p=.027), psychological well-being (β=.21, p=.022) and self-esteem (β=.24,) p=.007), and these variables accounted for 25.2% of interpersonal competence. Therefore, in order to improve the interpersonal competence of university students, it is necessary to develop a program that considers their psychological well-being and self-esteem.

본 연구는 간호대학생의 공감능력이 대인관계 유능성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하는 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 198명의 간호대학생이었다. 구조화된 자가 보고식 설문지를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 자료 분석은 SPSS 18.0 WIN 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson co- rrelation coefficient, multiple regression analy- sis를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 연구대상자의 공감능력이 인간관계 유능성과 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 공감능력은 인간관계 유능성에 영향을 미치는 유의한 요인으로 나타났으며, 공감에 대한 설명력은 30.0%이었다. 결론적으로, 간호대학생의 대인관계 유능성에 영향을 미치는 공감능력 증진을 위한 중재 프로그램을 개발하여 적용할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between ego state, interpersonal competence and problem solving ability of nursing students. The method of this study was survay study 311 nursing students who have clinical experience. Data was collected by structured questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS / Win 21.0 program. The results showed that there was a positive correlation with the critical parent ego state(CP), nurturing parent ego state(NP), adult ego state(A), free child ego state(FC), interpersonal competence and problem solving ability. Adaptive Child ego state(AC) showed negative correlation between interpersonal competence and problem solving ability. In order to improve interpersonal competence and problem solving ability of nursing college students, it is necessary to develop CP and NP, A, FC ego state and develop and apply mutual AC analysis program to overcome the negative characteristics of AC ego state.

This study examined the effects of emotional clarity and empathic ability on interpersonal competence among nursing college students. The subjects included college students in some provinces. The research period was November and December 2019. Two hundred and eighty five students were analyzed. The data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings show that empathy (β=.551, p<.001), emotional clarity (β=.288, p<.001), and satisfaction with college life (β=.092, p<.001) had significant effects on interpersonal competence with an explanatory power of 47.4%. Interpersonal competence had significant positive correlations with empathy (r=.641, p<.001) and emotional clarity (r=.443, p<.001). Therefore, it is important to reinforce the development and application of customized individual counseling programs designed to enhance empathy. This encourages nursing college students to understand emotional clarity, which helps them recognize others' emotions as well as their own and make proper reactions. Accordingly, satisfaction with college life, which adds more vitality to their college life, will increase the interpersonal competence of nursing college students. In the future, repeating and in-depth research should be conducted to include emotional and psychological factors of interpersonal competence. A standardized research tool will be needed to measure interpersonal competence.
