  • This paper aims to elaborate on the foundation of the colonialism, which comes from Natural Laws by John Locke and the extermination of the indigenous. John Locke develops his political doctrines considering Natural Laws as the logical, metaphysical supposition. He assumes Natural Laws to be the logical presupposition, but is interested in North America. This is evidently seen in his works according to research outcomes. His 'possessive individualism' discusses exclusion and extermination, on the bound of natural laws and natural state. The person without possessive rights is excluded, the people without effective farming is forfeited. Then acculturation is the justifying of slavery and suggestive of extermination. In the possessive individualism of bourgeois society, that is, private property, man is annulled aboard. That is colonialism comes from, which destroys all the cultures but its own cultures. It is Locke who is the first thinker of the imperial. In the thought of Locke found we in profane terminology projected for the world imperial. After Locke, colonialism has been appeared in the guise of racism in the eighteen century, especially in the universal history of system of philosophy, sometimes in the face of orientalism on all sides. The ideas of colonialism and imperialism have been absolutely for the West. In the totally administered society nowadays, the hope of redemption has been made impossible from the origin. From the beneath, operated and practiced the program of deletion of race, its ethnic cleansing is a mere case. Locke's thought for the human rights is consisted of property and freedom in mankind, but it ground baits for its bloodied symposium with words and consults. 'Our word is our weapon', this is wording of one ethnic that is in nearing extermination.

  • This study purpose is to discuss critically the conception of history in Hegel and Marx by drawing on Merleau-Ponty's existential theory of history, finishing with concluding remarks. Merleau-Ponty insists that history is always history experienced. This thesis is his own principle in investigating human history. From this perspective, he begins to flesh out problems with history which Hegel and Marx had understood idealistically and materialistically respectively. He criticised that if Hegel grasps history in terms of teleology, he failed to explain the source and origin of historical meaning from which history makes sense. He failed to think that what gives history meaning comes from embodied consciousness. This means that history is not made of dialectical thinking. The thing is different from such an imaginative construal. History as it stands is not like that. It is not running around like Hegelian dialectical thinking. Marx understood historical behavior wrongly when he explained class struggle in terms of productive relations. He disregarded how class was sedimented or embodied in the minds of proletarians. Owing to this, Marx could not suppose that class consciousness is determined not causally or externally but by incarnated experience. It is affected in so far as it is affected by somebody, that is, the worker. At that moment only Class consciousness begins to work. Marx did not catch sight of this hidden fact.

The results were as follows: When they were starting as a single-person household on their own initiative and with enough preparation and planning, they expressed higher satisfaction as a single person household. For their adaptation to being a single-person household, practice education and information about household work and self-care were useful. Their thought about 'life' are focusing on self improvement and leisure activities either alone or with their friends. Their family interactions were performed with financial, emotional, and housework support from each other. Resources such as money and time were the major factors that impacted work and life balance. For work and life balance of single person househods, the cases needed political support for financial aid and flexible work arrangements.

  • The digital revolution has brought about both positive expectations and negative concerns. Many experts predict that the current technological revolution, so-called "Fourth Industrial Revolution", which is expected to increase productivity in a disruptive way, has significant implications on employment and the labor market. In subsequence, the possible demise of the traditional employment system could markedly undermine the comtemporary welfare state. As a result, basic income has emerged as an alternative. However, little welfare state research has conducted the systematic review on the impact of the present technological revolution on employment and welfare states. In this paper, we will start to review the gist of the digital revolution and critically review recent studies on its effects on employment and welfare states together with actual case studies. In particular, we will investigate the experiences of platform economies of Uber and Amazon Mechanical Turk, and the German experience from 'Work 4.0'. Finally, we will discuss key issues of future welfare state reforms. This research argues that the effects of the technological revolution on employment and welfare state policies would be enormous, but they will be most likely to be mediated by domestic political and policy institutions. It emphasizes the importance of high-quality social investment that would enable individuals to flexibly adapt technological changes and support creative human capital resource. But, high-quality social investment could not be sustained without the decent social protection system that universally provides security to people.

  • This study first analyzes economical environment change (factor) of investment nation Japan and Japanese enterprise at the analysis of Japanese enterprise's over-seas expansion factor and influence. As a result of an analysis of the factor about Japanese enterprise's overseas expansion from 1990 to 1996 and from 1998 to 2006, commonly applied factors were Yen exchange rate, interest rates, wage, enterprise profit, facility investment, and consumption expenditure. Especially, as a result of regression analysis, a sudden change of "low interest rate" was main factor at Japanese enterprise's overseas expansion from 1990 to 1996, and Japan's "Yen ex-change rate" was drawn as an important factor from 1998 to 2006. That is, from 1990 to 1996, a shock by a sudden rise in Yen value could be viewed gradually accumulated and absorbed inside Japanese economy from 1998 to 2006. Whereas it could be said that Japanese enterprise's overseas expansion was accelerated under Japanese government's overseas supporting policy and "low interest rate" together with the factor in the rise of Yen value from 1998 to 2006.

  • The existing test-based qualification system does not sufficiently reflect the demand for skills in industries and there exist concerns regarding its efficacy. In response, an innovative national technical qualification system, which uses a course-based qualification system, has been introduced to supplement the test-type qualification system. This study investigates the impact of the national technical qualification system on companies' decisions concerning employment by analyzing survey data from companies that employed persons who obtained course-based qualifications. Analysis results found the degree of company demand for skills had a positive impact on overall employment decisions. Especially, it was highly likely for those companies that experienced loss due to the lack of technology in the past to decide continued employment and expansion of employment. This suggests that it is necessary to design the national technical qualification system in response to the demand for technological skills of each industry in the future.

  • Korea's average annual working hours are among the highest in the OECD. Such long-term work has been a factor that reduces the quality of life by discouraging workers' productivity and interrupting the compatibility of work and family, prompting the government to encourage flexible work systems, such as increasing part-time jobs, but a lack of quality part-time jobs. Part-time work enables flexible labor for workers, but at the same time, workers will involuntarily opt for part-time work as they have poor working conditions and negative social views. In this respect, the effect of the working type on an individual's life is expected to be different. In addition, for women, gender gaps exist in the labor market and the impact of part-time work on life satisfaction is expected to differ from men in terms of working and family alike. Using the data from the 2017 "Seoul Survey Urban Policy Indicator Survey", the ordered logistic regression model was used to analyze the cross-effect of working type and sex on satisfaction. The analysis of the study showed that when other factors were controlled, life satisfaction was high in the order of fulltime female, full-time male, part-time female, and part-time male. In addition, further analysis shows that the parttime female workers have the highest probability of choosing low life satisfaction, while the probability of choosing high life satisfaction is the lowest, and full-time male workers have the lowest probability of choosing low life satisfaction, while the highest probability of choosing high life satisfaction is the highest.

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the attitudes of Korean people regarding foreign workers and to analyze the influence factors. Analysis of the attitude difference and the influential factors utilized the SPSS ${\chi}^2$ test and multinomial logistic regression analysis using 2016 data obtained from the 'Koreans' Consciousness and Values'. Socio-demographic variables, national identity, and socioeconomic variables were used as explanatory variables. The attitude types (friendly, negative, and dual) of respondents were identified, and the influence of explanatory variables influencing these attitudes was identified. Analysis found they have a relatively generous stance on granting legal rights, while they are negative regarding the economic and social threats from foreign workers. As a result of analyzing the factors affecting attitudes, there are significant differences in each influence. However, negative attitudes and dual attitude concerning with negative legal rights found common to the influence of the factors of national identity. Gender and ratio of foreign workers were influential factors for dual attitudes with a high economic threat. On the other hand, socioeconomic factors reflecting the realistic conflict theory were not found to have any effect. The negative attitude of foreign workers in our society can be regarded as cognitive threats rather than realistic experiences or conflicts.

  • For a long time, dramas that everyone has enjoyed at home have become the most popular cultural contents due to the development of digital technology and the influence of Hallyu.(Korean Wave) This study was conducted in-depth interviews and participatory observations on the background, role, identity, and labor experience of TV planning producers who appeared in the drama production process with the implementation of outsourcing production policy in 1991. The number of dramas produced increased sharply in the mid-2000s due to the Korean Wave. Against this backdrop, the planning producer has expanded their scope in the drama production process and emerged as a new drama producer. The planning producer plays a role in creating an environment in which writers and directors can be selected with the identity of "not a creator but a producer of dramas" and lead drama planning. OTT and watching TV on the Internet have made it possible to watch dramas without TV. As this phenomenon accelerates and becomes commonplace, fewer consumers adhere to the traditional way of watching dramas using TV, and consumers' emotional tastes become more demanding. In this environment, TV planning producers are leading the production of dramas, exerting as much influence as writers and directors. They are also building new power relationships among drama producers by securing planning and financial power.

  • As foreign immigrants increase dramatically, the number of ethnic residential areas also grow rapidly in Korea. Of those foreign workers, the majority is Korean Chinese who can speak Korean language fluently and share common culture as the same ethnicity. As of now they are concentrated on 8 areas in Seoul forming their own community with networks for living and finding job. This paper is to investigate the differences and similarities of Korean Chinese residential areas in Seoul. In order to do that the authors researched two typical areas of Garibong-dong and Jayang-dong. The former is bigger and established earlier, became the symbol of Korean Chinese community. The latter area is relatively small and formed recently. Those staying in Garibong-dong are characterized as; single, moved from main land China directly, small sized residing unit and lower income. The place is mainly for the first incoming people to provide convenient environment for adapting in Seoul. On the other hand those staying in Jayang-dong are characterized as; with families, moved from other parts of Seoul, relatively good residence and higher income. Therefore this place is the second residential area for those who became familiar with living in Seoul. As a result, this paper found the process of differentiation in Korean Chinese communities. This process would be continued as far as foreign immigration continues. Therefore further researches required on more detail process of differentiation for various ethnic groups.
