  • Based on the analysis of the current state of the world's foundry industry, we looked at the international competitiveness of Korea's foundry industry for the past 20 years. Korea's total foundry production is 2.52 million tons, and the production per company (so-called productivity) is 2,831 tons, which is the eighth largest in the world and down one position for the case of total foundry production, while productivity remains its position compared to three years ago. Korea is the only one of the top 10 foundry to see a decline in production. Similar to the global situation, Korean products consist of 38% of grey csat iron, 31% of ductile cast iron, 15% of aluminum, and 9% of cast steel. In order to obtain statistics on Korea's foundry industry, the survey conducted a service project for approximately nine months from April 2020. Various statistical surveys and sample in-depth surveys by the Korean standard industry class were evaluated for various contents of the domestic casting industry. We also looked at the number of companies, the distribution by region, the number of workers and the percentage of foreigners, and the distribution of each job, as well as the R&D investment status according to the size of the enterprise. • Although the importance of starting a business is being emphasized, it is not easy for a start-up to survive. Therefore, it is necessary to come up with a plan to strengthen startup satisfaction and improve the survival rate of startup companies. In this study, we examined the impact of start-up motivation, start-up capabilities, and start-up passion of start-up companies on start-up satisfaction, as well as the moderating effect according to the founding type of general start-up companies and startups. Entrepreneurship motivation was divided into self-actualization motivation and pro-social motivation. Entrepreneurship capabilities were divided into marketing capabilities and experience capabilities. Entrepreneurship passion was divided into harmonious passion and obsessive passion. Empirical analysis was conducted by receiving surveys from 361 managers of general and startup companies within 7 years of founding their businesses online and offline. As a result, self-actualization motivation, pro-social motivation, marketing competency, experiential competency, and harmonious passion had a significant positive (+) effect on startup satisfaction. However, obsessive passion did not have a significant effect. In addition, the magnitude of influence on startup satisfaction appeared in the following order: harmonious passion, marketing competency, self-actualization motivation, pro-social motivation, and experiential competency. The moderating effect according to the type of founding of general start-ups and startups was found in pro-social motivation, experience competency, and passion for harmony. • Service companies are making constant efforts to gain positive business performance such as customer satisfaction, quality improvement, and valuable management. Compared to other industries, service companies are highly dependent on workers for responding to customers and satisfying various customer needs in terms of business content and type. Thus, the attitude, given, environment, and capacity of the workers who supply service and serve customers are important factors that directly and indirectly influence customer satisfaction and performance. To enhance the performance of organizations and gain competitive advantage, it is important to provide the various forms of social support for workers as service suppliers. In this sense, active interests including the development of personal competence, support for working environment, and providing chances for the development of new services are significant. This study is a follow-up study on the influence of social support for positive psychological capital, creativity, and work performance of service workers. Among the service process matrix, this study targets the workers involved in mass service fields and seeks to examine how support for co-worker influences the performance through self-efficacy. No empirical analysis has examined workers involved in mass service fields. Thus, this study aims to take an approach different from that of previous studies and to suggest more effective human resource management strategies for enhancing the competitiveness of service companies and provide related implications.

  • Smart Factory refers to a factory that can be controlled by itself with an intelligent factory that improves productivity, quality and customer satisfaction by combining the entire process of manufacturing and production with digital automation solutions. The manufacturing industry around the world is rapidly changing, with Germany, Europe, and the United States at the center. In order to cope with such changes, the Korean government is also implementing a policy to spread the supply of smart factories for small and medium-sized companies, and related ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of SMEs and Venture Business, the Korea Institute of Technology and Information Promotion, and local technoparks, as well as large companies such as Samsung, SK and LG are actively investing in smart manufacturing projects to support smart factories[1]. Factory Automation (FA) construction has many issues regarding the connection of heterogeneous equipment. The most difficult aspect of configuring various communications from various equipment is the reason. Although it may not be known if there are standards or products made up of the same company, it is not easy to build equipment that is old, up-to-date, and different use environments through a series of communications. To solve this problem, we would like to propose a method of communication using Modbus, one of FieldBus, which is one of the many industrial devices of PLC, a representative facility control system, and is used as a communication standard.

  • Recently, with the MZ generation's entry into society and the social participation of the female population, conflicts are occurring between workplace groups that value WLB and existing groups that emphasize collaboration due to differences in work orientation. Public institutions and companies that utilize work-life balance support systems show differences in job Commitment depending on the nature of the work and the activation of the support system. Accordingly, it is necessary to verify the effectiveness of the WLB support system actually operated by the company and present universally valid standards. The purpose of this study is, first, to verify the effectiveness of the support system for work-life balance and to find practical consensus amid changes in policies and perceptions of the working environment. Second, the influence of work-life balance level and job immersion according to work characteristics was analyzed to verify the mutual influence in order to establish standards for WLB operation that reflects work characteristics. For the study, a 2X2 matrix model was used to analyze the impact of work-life balance and work characteristics on job commitment, and four hypotheses were established. First, analysis of the job involvement level of conflict-type group members, second, analysis of the job involvement level of leading group members, third, analysis of the job involvement level of agreeable group members, and fourth, analysis of the job involvement level of cooperative group members. To conduct this study, an online survey was conducted targeting employees working in public institutions and large corporations. The survey was conducted for a total of 9 days from October 23 to 31, 2023, and 163 people responded, and the analysis was based on a valid sample of 152 people, excluding 11 copies that were insincere responses or gave up midway. As a result of the study's hypothesis testing, first, the conflict type group was found to have the lowest level of job engagement at 1.43. Second, the proactive group showed the highest level of job engagement at 4.54. Third, the conformity group showed a slightly lower level of job involvement at 2.58. Fourth, the cooperative group showed a slightly higher level of job involvement at 3.80. The academic implications of the study are that it subdivides employees' personalities into factors based on the level of work-life balance and nature of work. The practical implications of the study are that it analyzes the effectiveness of WLB support systems operated by public institutions and large corporations by grouping them.
