본 연구는 입력된 수사문건에 대해 시간 속성을 기반으로 범죄사건의 흐름을 나타내는 스토리라인을 자동으로 시각화하여 사건의 전체적인 흐름에 대한 이해도를 향상하는 데 도움을 주는 범죄사실에 특화된 스토리라인 시각화 인터페이스에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위해 객관적인 사실 관계 파악과 논증 검증이 중요한 범죄수사에서 중요한 자료인 판결문 데이터를 활용하였으며, 판결문 중에서도 육하원칙에 따라 해당 범죄의 구성요건적인 특징이 명확히 기재되어 있는 범죄사실을 대상으로 하여 사건의 흐름에 따라 추출된 데이터를 자동으로 시각화하였다. 이는 현장에서 실무자들이 범죄사건의 흐름을 쉽고 빠르게 파악하고 더 나아가 종합적이고 입체적으로 파악하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

This research was performed with the aim of analyzing the 'expectation dynamics' of embryonic stem cell research which was revealed throughout the establishment process of Stem Cell Research Center from 2000 to 2002. Expectation dynamics is a chained process: expectation construction - raising fund - performing research. Normally, researchers are considerably circumspect and politically neutral in assessing the result of research. However, some researchers are very involved in building the expectation dynamics by developing an overestimated impact of the result, which can be understood as a kind of strategy for solving the financial problem and defending the criticism in terms of bioethics. Nowadays Biotechnology R&D costs a big budget and requires large site human resources, so building the expectation dynamics is a decisive element for a successful R&D performance, which makes the strategy-development in the political context much more important. By analyzing the actors-network of embryonic stem cell research in term of 'expectation dynamics', we can clarify the identify of embryonic stem cell researchers and draw a conclusion which is very helpful for decision makers and the public to make a decision related with embryonic stem cells.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of police investigation environment on perception toward legalization of private investigation. To enhance the completeness, this study conducted a survey on police officers in service and analyzed the survey data through statistical technique. The results for examination on how police investigation environment influence on perception toward legalization of private investigation were as follows. When the 'work burden from long-term cold case' composing the police investigation environment is high, the police officer highly evaluated the growth potential of private investigation, showed positive perception toward private investigation market, and showed intention for re-employment at private investigation agency after retirement. When the police officer experiences more difficulties from 'investigation other than criminal case', the police officer highly evaluated the growth potential of private investigation and showed intention for re-employment at private investigation agency. In addition, when the police officer thinks that there are a lot of difficulties for "Limited investigation on specialized area", the police officer showed positive perception toward growth potential of private investigation and private investigation market. In addition, police investigation environment showed significant result on legalization of private investigation. The result also verifies that as the difficulty of crime investigated by the police is getting higher quantitatively and qualitatively, it is necessary to introduce private investigation system which is specialized and able to investigate for a long time. This study hopes that this study result would be utilized as the grounds in signing the bill for introducing the private investigation system.

This paper is introducing on a strategy of storytelling which is utilized as a core skill in developing cultural contents. The proposed storytelling method consists of three steps(planning, production, editing). The method of storytelling strategy is based on rhetoric metaphors and classifies rhetoric metaphors into three kinds of image metaphor, image personification and image simile. This thesis produced and studied 3 visual-image contents including 1 metaphor, 1 personification and 1 simile. As a result, visual-image contents can be a resonable method of the communicational act of visual-image contents with a rhetoric expression. This result will contribute to recognize the possibility of expressing visual-image contents by various figure. Recently, there are a lot of concernments on the expression by creative visual-image contents, but a theoretical study on creative idea for visual-image contents is insufficient. So, in the future, this thesis will be used for basic materials to express a creative visual-image contents, and also contribute to offering basic theories for visual-image contents study and teaching.

자동차 전조등에서 얻을 수 있는 자료는 차량마다 가지는 각각의 다양한 패턴과 문자 숫자 및 특수문자이탈 문자나 숫자 그리고 특수문자의 경우는 저장된 데이터베이스의 활용으로 그 차량에 대한 정보를 검색할 수 있다. 하지만 전조등의 경우에는 부분적인 패턴만이 있다면 숫자나 문자들의 정보에 의존할 수 없게 된다. 본 논문에서는 무늬가 가지는 특징의 추출을 이용하여 발생하고 있는 교통사고나 기타 사건의 발생시 부분적인 영상만이 획득되더라도 정색을 통한 후보 차량의 정색이 가능하도록 영상의 특성 값들을 구성하러 조합하였다. 본 시스템은 사고차량의 추적 및 교통사고에서보다 효율그인 과학수사에 일조할 것으로 기대한다.

This study suggests one of English teaching methods to improve English speaking proficiency for adult English learners. Contrary to the traditional English conversation teaching trends such as memorization of specific patterns or grammar-focused practices, the study introduces a storytelling based teaching of English speaking. To theoretically support the storytelling based English speaking teaching, the study investigates the possibility of the teaching method in three ways. First, the 12 speaking strategies focusing on contents of a story are introduced in the way of securing speech amounts as much as possible. Next, the five rhetoric components by Aristotle are introduced to relate to the storytelling teaching for the purpose of achieving the goal of speaking, which is to deliver what a speaker want to say more persuasively. Finally, through the investigation of the learner strategy uses, the possibility of storytelling English speaking teaching can be expected regardless of learners' low level of English proficiency.

A knowledge-based image retrieval technique is image searching methods using some features from the queried image. The materials in this study are automobile head lamps. The input data is composed of characters and images which have various pattern. The numbers, special symbols, and general letters are under the category of the character. The image informations are made up of the distribution of pixel data, statistical analysis, and state of pattern which are useful for the knowledge data. In this paper, we implemented a retrieval system for the scientific crime detection at traffic accident using the proposed multi knowledge-based image retrieval technique. The values for the multi knowledge-based image features were extracted from color and gray scale each. With this 22 features, we improved the retrieval efficiency about the color information and pattern information. Visual basic, crystal report and MS access DB were used for this application. We anticipate the efficient scientific detection for the traffic accident and the tracking of suspicious vehicle.

In recent years, the high growth of the Korean society has led to the development of large and small incidents and accidents, while safety regulations, such as the firefighting sector, have been strengthened with the expectation of people desiring safety. This study surveyed the problems and improvement plan of the current operation centered on the fire service public officers in Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon. As a result of the main research, it is necessary to arrange and carry out excellent investigative manpower, such as lawyers and professional career veterans in the fire department, metropolitan city and provincial firefighting headquarters, and frontline fire departments. In particular, it was suggested that a special task force should be established and set up in the above agency, and the planning investigation and enforcement work should be solved through subdivision of the fire special enforcement officer tasks, and the judicial cases that are difficult to be handled by the local fire station. In future research, it will be necessary to study the field of fire - fighting specialists' needs for more specialized education and various disaster field experiences.

To prove the integrity of digital evidence on the investigation procedure, the data which is using the MD 5(Message Digest 5) hash-function algorithm has to be discarded, if the integrity was damaged on the investigation. Even though a proof restoration of the deleted area is essential for securing the proof regarding a main phase of a case, it was difficult to secure the decisive evidence because of the damaged evidence data due to the difference between the overall hash value and the first value. From this viewpoint, this paper proposes the novel model for the mobile forensic procedure, named as "E-Finder(Evidence Finder)", to ,solve the existing problem. The E-Finder has 5 main phases and 15 procedures. We compared E-Finder with NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technology) and Tata Elxsi Security Group. This paper thus achieved the development and standardization of the investigation methodology for the mobile forensics.

Recently, as soldiers are allowed to use mobile phones, cases are frequently transferred from the police to the military due to criminal acts, and digital evidence is collected separately from the reliability of previous investigations, such as overlapping seizure and search procedures. In this study, through in-depth interviews with practitioners in charge of digital evidence in the military, police, and courts, problems related to digital evidence handling, such as infringement of evidence ability due to overlapping human factors and procedures, are derived and analyzed. The presented procedure verified the effectiveness of the procedure through case analysis, and is expected to contribute to the guarantee of the evidence capacity of digital evidence and the efficiency of handling cases.
