Design of Modified Deadbeat Digital Controller for Output Voltage Improvement of 3-Phase UPS (3상 UPS의 정전압 출력특성 향상을 위한 개선된 데드비트 디지털 제어기의 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 무정전전원장치(UPS)에 사용되는 3상 PWM 인버터의 정전압 제어특성 향상을 위해 개선된 형태의 데드비트 제어방식을 제안하고 이의 설계를 수행한다. 일반적으로 UPS는 전압제어 루프 안에 전류제어기를 두는 형태의 이중 제어 루프 구조를 가지며, 빠른 과도응답 제어 특성을 얻기 위해 데드비트 제어기가 많이 적용되어 왔다. 그러나 전압, 전류의 이중 제어구조를 갖는 데드비트 제어기의 경우 동일한 극배치 특성으로 인해 기존의 제어 시스템은 불안정한 측면을 갖게된다. 이러한 제어특성의 개선을 위하여 분리된 극배치를 가지는 제어기구조를 제안하며, 이는 전압제어기 출력으로 1차 지수함수 응답을 사용하는 변형된 형태의 데드비트 제어기로 구성된다. 아울러 부하 변동에 따른 부하전류의 외란성분을 전향보상하기 위하여 전차원 외란 관측기를 설계하고 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통하여 제안된 시스템의 우수성을 확인한다.

  • This paper describes a state feedback controller design method of the integral type magnetic levitation servo system which satisfies the design objectives. The design objective is a $H_{\infty}$ performance, asymptotic disturbance rejection and a robust pole assignment in linear matrix inequality(LMI) region. To the end, we investigated the validity of the designed controller which considering a robust pole assignment region, through results of simulation.

  • In this paper, generalized singular value is defined. Using the generalized singular value, robust stability conditions and robust pole placement conditions of structured uncertain systems with star shaped uncertainties are derived. Especially, norm bounded and polytopic uncertainty regions are considered as star shaped uncertainty regions. Linear matrix inequality problems are proposed in order to compute the upper bound of the generalized singular value. The proposed linear matrix inequality problems can be solved by using the convex optimization method.

  • The dc servo motor has been often used as the driver for a position control system, because the performance of the control is excellent on the speed and position control. When the unknown disturbance and/or the varying quantity of load is imposed on the position control system, the response of the system has the steady and/or the transient state error.The objective of this work is to demonstrate the principles, design methodologies and implementation of a servo controller for reducing the error in the position control system using the dc servo motor. The coefficients of a servo controller are computed by the pole placement.

  • The stationary discontinuous armatures that are used in permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PM-LSMs) have been proposed as a driving source for transportation systems. However, the stationary discontinuous armature PM-LSM contains the outlet edges which always exist as a result of the discontinuous arrangement of the armature. For this reason, the outlet edge cogging force generated between the armature's core and the mover's permanent magnet. This paper contemplated the outlet cogging for ceaccording to 2-D numerical analysis by FEM. We installed the auxiliary pole for in order to minimize the outlet cogging force.

  • This study is experimentally investigated brown gas generative properties with the changes of cell areas, a electrolyte concentration and ampere current for the developments of small brown gas generation equipments usable in diesel cars. Electrolysis reactors have been manufactured as SMT30, SMT50, SMT50-1, SMT70, SMT90, respectively on various surface areas and different positions anode and cathode. Thus, the brown gas generative properties on reactors tended to increase as surface area increase, and show differences in different electrode positions. However, the effect on electrolyte concentration had increased with a decreasing electrolyte concentration of NAOH 3~1‰, and the brown gas generative properties on ampere of SMT30, SMT50, SMT50-1, SMT70, SMT90 have shown to be $0.74{\ell}/10min$, $1.0{\ell}/10min$, $1.10,{\ell}/10min$, $0.97{\ell}/10min$, $1.13{\ell}/10min$.

  • Reactants of PEMFC are hydrogen and oxygen in gas phases and fuel cell overpotential could be reduced when reactants are smoothly transported. Numerous studies to modify cathode flow field design have been conducted because oxygen mass transfer in high current density region is dominant voltage loss factor. Among those cathode flow field designs, a block in flow field is used to forced supply reactant gas to porous gas diffusion layer. In this study, the block was installed on a simple fuel cell model. Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), effects of forced convection due to blocks on a polarization curve and local current density contour were studied when different air flow rates were supplied. The high current density could be achieved even with low air supply rate due to forced convection to a gas diffusion layer and also with multiple blocks in series compared to a single block due to an increase of forced convection effect.

  • A PID controller must need not only good servo response but also little operation of a control valve. We suggest a direct pole-placement PID self-tuning algorithm using the structure of derivative-of-output controller and Bezout identity. This algorithm can much reduce the change of output of controller and well follow the desired trajectory.
