A study on the fire smoke diffusion delay strategy in a great depth underground double deck tunnel junction (대심도 복층터널 교차로 화재연기 확산지연 방안 연구)

  • Recently, in order to solve the traffic congestion in urban areas and to improve the peripheral environment, research on the design and construction technology development of great depth underground double-deck tunnel is under way by using the underground space in the urban area. The network type double-deck tunnel is in the form of an intersection with a small cross section and a steep slope as per construction at the base of a flatland, so that the fire smoke spreads rapidly in case of fire, which is expected to cause damage of human life. Therefore, this study is analyzed the delay effect of fire smoke diffusion according to the installation and non - installation of delay system for fire smoke diffusion at the intersection. Fire fumes were delayed up to 270 seconds when the delay system for fire smoke diffusion was installed at the intersection and it is analyzed that the greater the operating area of the delay system for fire smoke diffusion, the more preventable the damage of human life of the intersection.

  • In this paper, it was performed the analysis on various intersection acoustic patterns for detection rate improvement of accident sound detection system : an acoustic pattern analysis on general traffic noise, an acoustic pattern analysis on engine noise, an acoustic pattern analysis on obstruct factors for accident sound detection system. There are remarkable differences between the acoustic patterns of traffic noise and accident sound, and we most consider the acoustic patterns when we compose the accident traffic detection system by acoustic because there is error range of 20[dB] according to the volume of traffic in intersection.

  • SSI(Surface/Surface Intersection)is a fundamental geometric operation which is used in solid and geometric modeling to support trimmed surface and Boolean operations. In this paper, we suggest a new algorithm for tracing along the intersection curve of two regular surfaces. Thus, in this paper, we present a simplicity of computing and second degree continunity. Given a point of intersection curve, it is traced to entire curve of a intersection curve as the initial point of its and the initial point of each of a intersection curve is detected to DFS(Depth First Search) method in the Quadtree and is naturally presented a continuous form.

  • We numerically determined the direction of ray and the average ray-crossing position from the shape of the wavefront on the exit pupil of optical system which had aberrations and apodized aperture. This position was calculated easier and closer to the position of the maximum intensity than that calculated by Safa's method when the aberration is greater than about 2λ.

  • 실험은 과학적 사실을 규명하기 위한 적극적인 수단이다. 실험이란 문자 그대로 검정 (test)을 의미하는데 좀 더 공식적으로 표현하자면 '연구자가 어떤 체계(system) 혹은 과정 (process)속으로 의도하는 변화를 투입 변수 (input variable)로 넣었을 때 그 결과로 얻게되는 반응에서 어떠한 변화가 초래되었는지 그 원인을 찾아내는 일련의 검정(series of tests)'이라고 정의할 수 있다. 넓은 의미에서 볼 때 실험의 형태는 발생조사(outbreak investigation)와 같이 현장 (fidld)에서 진행되는 관찰연구 (observational study)와 실험실 연구로 대별된다. 어떠한 연구형태이든 실험의 객관성을 달성하기 위해서는 연구의 목적에 합당한 실험계획을 작성하는 것이 필수적이다. 아무리 완벽하게 실험을 수행했다고 하더라도 실험계획에서 심각한 문제가 있다면 그 결과에 대해서는 신뢰성을 부여할 수 없기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 실험을 계획할 때 적용되는 원리와 분산분석에서의 다중비교 및 의학연구에서 활용빈도가 높은 교차계획법 (crossover design)에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

  • Traffic accident risk index Computation model's development apply traffic level of significance about area of road user group, road and street network area, population group etc.. through numerical formula or model by countermeasure to reduce the occurrence rate of traffic accidents. Is real condition that is taking advantage of risk by tangent section through estimation model and by method to choose improvement way to intersection from outside the country, and is utilizing being applied in part business in domestic. However, question is brought in the accuracy being utilizing changing some to take external model in domestic real condition than individual development of model. Therefore, selection intersection estimation element through traffic accidents occurrence present condition, geometry structure, control way, traffic volume, turning traffic volume etc. in 96 intersections in this research, and select final variable through correlation analysis of abstracted estimation elements. Developed intersection design model taking advantage of signal type, numeric of lane, intersection type, analysis of variance techniques through ANOVA analysis of three variables of intersection form with selected variable lastly, in signal crossing through three class intersection, distinction variable choice risk in model, no-signal crossing risk distinction analysis model and so on develop.

The effectiveness of MRI evaluation after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using hamstring tendon autograft (자가 슬괵건을 이용한 전방십자인대 재건술 후 결과 판정에 있어 MRI 검사의 유용성)

  • Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of MRI after ACL reconstruction with femoral tunnel at 10 o'clock position. Materials and Methods: MRI findings of 29 patients after ACL reconstruction using hamstring tendon autograft were evaluated. The mean period from operation to MRI was 18.9 months($7{\sim}40$ months). Signal intensity, morphology and continuity of graft, femoral insertion, graft angle, roof impingement, cross pin breakage and position were evaluated. Those findings were compared with KT-2000, Lysholm knee score and pivot shift test. Results: There was no significant correlation between signal intensity of graft and the duration to MRI. Most common pattern of the morphology was straight, and the continuity was well-preserved. 13 cases of femoral tunnel insertion were zone 4 and 16 were zone 3. There were no roof impingement. 10 cases showed cross pin breakages, of which 5 were found at the outside of distal femoral posterior cortex. 9 showed cross pin directed posteriorly in axial view. There was no significant correlation between clinical results and cross pin breakage. Conclusion: MRI examinations after ACL reconstructions are useful to evaluate the graft status, position of the graft and cross pins. Since the direction of the cross pin is important especially in 10 o'clock femoral position, care should be taken to avoid cross pin breakage.

Evaluation of autocorrelation characteristics of arctic oscillation and its cross-correlation to the monsoon and typhoon (북극진동의 자기상관 특성 및 우리나라 장마 및 태풍과의 교차상관 특성 평가)

  • This study investigated the effect of arctic oscillation by analyzing the cross-correlation characteristics between the arctic oscillation index (AOI) and the number of typhoons occurred in the North Pacific, the number of typhoons affecting South Korea, total rainfall amount and number of rainy days during the monsoon season in South Korea. For this analysis, the monthly AOI data were transformed into the average data about January and seasonal AOI data representing winter, spring, fall and winter. The typhoon data and monsoon data were all those collected annually. The data period for this analysis was determined to be from 1961 to 2016 by considering the data available. Based on this analysis, it was found that the arctic oscillation has a weak but statistically significant effect on the monsoon characteristics of South Korea. However, the level of effect was not consistent over the data period but varied significantly periodically. For example, the cross-correlation coefficient derived for the recent 10 years was estimated to be higher than 0.8, but was simply insignificant during the 30 years before the last decade. The overall effect of arctic oscillation on the occurrence of typhoon was found to be statistically insignificant, but was also fluctuating periodically to show somewhat significant effect. Finally, it should be mentioned that the effect of arctic oscillation on the typhoon and monsoon had been changing by turns from 1960s to 2000s. However, in the 2010s, it happened that the effect of arctic oscillation has become significant on both typhoon and monsoon in South Korea.

Depending on the results of analysis, while each point of a disaster, according to the characteristics of geometric conditions, traffic conditions, identify and determine the operating room and the adjacent intersection of media, and building systems to promote the driver if the quick initial response from the impending disaster situations and the safety of drivers can be considered secure.

  • In the Signalized Intersection, the capacity analysis is conducted with a large amount of input data such as road way, traffic and signal condition. but the level of service(LOS) is determined by delay estimated as a measure of effectiveness (MOE) based on this procedure. However, It is under the circumstances which are not considered for the errors caused by the uncertainty of input data in the field(the turing volumes, lane geometry, signal timing, grade of approach lane, percentage heavy vehicles, peak hour factor and arrival type etc.) as become the bases in the determination of the capacity and LOS. It includes the problem of reliability which is not verified for the capacity and LOS estimated. So, this study is to suggest the minimization of their influences by examining whether the uncertainty of input data such as the traffic volume, percentage of heavy vehicles and roadway geometry on the approach lane in the intersection under the study affects the capacity analysis and LOS determination.
