The purpose of this study is to analyze how pre-service teachers perceive mathematics problems by making good mathematics problems at the elementary school level and applying them to elementary school students. In this study, 86 pre-service teachers enrolled in the second and third grades of A University of Education presented good mathematics problems they thought of. In addition, these pre-service teachers predicted the solution strategies of elementary school students for the proposed mathematics problem and described the teacher's expertise while observing the problem-solving process of elementary school students. As a result of the study, pre-service teachers preferred mathematical problems needed for using mathematical concepts or algorithms, motivation, and open-ended problems as good mathematics problems, and thought that students' in-depth observation and analysis experiences could help improve teachers' problem-solving expertise. In order to enhance teachers' expertise in solving mathematics problems, the researcher proposed for pre-service teachers to observe students' mathematics problem-solving processes, to experience in developing high-quality mathematics problems, and also to distribute high-quality mathematics problems linked to textbook problems.

In daycare centers, the head teacher requires the leadership to effectively meet the demands of nursery facilities, since he or she plays a role of middle management in charge of communication with the director and the teachers. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the structural relationship between the head teacher's leadership and job satisfaction of childcare teachers to enhance their organizational commitment and improve service quality and operation of nursery facilities. A survey was conducted of childcare teachers in national and public daycare centers located in Gyunggi Province from February to March 2018. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical programs. Analysis results found that leadership of the head teacher positively affected job satisfaction and organizational commitment of childcare teachers. Second, the job satisfaction of childcare teachers positively affected organizational commitment. Third, job satisfaction of childcare teachers had a mediating effect in the relationship between the head teacher's leadership and the childcare teachers' organizational commitment. Results of this study suggest that effective leadership of the head teacher should be exercised to enhance the organizational commitment of childcare teachers.

This article reviews several classroom observational frameworks and introduces one of them, Teaching for Robust Understanding of Mathematics (TRU Math) framework, in more detail. The TRU Math framework has unique features, especially of which it helps researchers and practitioners analyze lessons with a focus on opportunities to learn and on how students access to the learning opportunities in mathematics classrooms rather than focusing on teacher behaviors. In this article, using this TRU Math framework, a Korean high school mathematics lesson was analyzed. The analysis illustrates the aspects of good mathematics teaching according to the five dimensions that we theorized. It provides implications on how to better use the tool for both research and practice in Korean school culture and teacher professional development contexts.

The study uses a qualitative research method for an in-depth study on child care practice for preliminary child care teachers. The study shows firstly that prior to practice, a preliminary child care teacher expects to perform a dual role. The preliminary child care teacher conceives an unequal, vertical relationship with a practice guidance teacher and serves as someone between a teacher and a friend to children, while perceiving the facility head as a mediator and practice colleagues as companions. Secondly, the preliminary child care teacher performed a triple role, while the practice guidance teacher played the role of a preliminary child care teacher. A preliminary child care teacher has mutually supportive interaction with a practice guidance teacher and serves as someone between a teacher and a friend, while acting as an important supporter to the facility head and as an uncomfortable competitor to a practice colleague. Thirdly, when a practice is completed, a preliminary child care teacher feels satisfied and sorry, while emphasizing a balance between theory and practice in a curriculum. The purpose of the current study lies in figuring out the needs for child care practice for a preliminary child care teacher who is the subject in child care practice to suggest improvements for a qualitative enhancement of child care practice.

This study The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relationship among social support, job satisfaction, happiness, teacher efficacy. Participants were 249 teachers from teachers' training programs. Descriptive statistics analysis and path analysis were conducted. SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 21.0 were used. As a result of the analysis, it was found that teachers' social support had a significant effect on job satisfaction and happiness, and job satisfaction had a significant effect on happiness and teacher efficacy, but social support and happiness did not directly affect teacher efficacy. However, it was found that social support has a partial mediating effect through a sense of happiness through job satisfaction, and social support has a complete mediation effect through a sense of teacher efficacy through job satisfaction. This study is considered to be the basic data for preparing a plan to improve the teacher's sense of efficacy, an important factor in determining the quality of public education.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of early childhood teachers' empowerment and job satisfaction on their teacher-child interaction. The subjects were 550 early childhood teachers working for young children aged 3 to 5 at kindergartens and daycare centers in South Korea. The survey questionnaires were used to measure main variables. Pearson's correlation analysis and analysis of multiple regression were conducted to test research questions using the SPSS 26.0 Statistical Program. As the results, early childhood teachers' empowerment and job satisfaction were found to have the significantly positive correlation with their teacher-child interaction. In addition, early childhood teachers' empowerment and job satisfaction had significant effects on their level of teacher-child interaction.

South Korea has strengthened the eligibility criteria for childcare teachers while amending the Infant Care Act in January 2005 in order to improve the quality of childcare services. Since then, there was a change in the legal basis related to childcare staff such as introduction of national certification of childcare center directors, name change, strengthened qualification standards for directors and teachers, training system maintenance and repair, strengthened credit standards of teachers' care related qualification courses, and maintenance provisions of continuing education nursery teacher qualifications. And that is because childcare staff are closely related to the quality of childcare, and a very important variable who has direct influence on infants. This study, through literature research and analysis, describes the status and development direction of childcare staff. This study covers three main aspects. First, the relevant historical flow was reviewed and the concepts of the role, expertise, and legal status of childcare staff were investigated. Second, staff training institutions, emissions certification, employment, and the status of treatment were investigated. Third, development direction for the training system, eligibility criteria, continuing education and its training system, and treatment improvement were proposed.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among principal's transformational and transactional leadership, subjective quality of life of teacher, and organizational commitment of teacher in kindergarten and day care center based on the survey data from 203 teachers working in kindergarten and day care center in Kyoungbuk province. The collected data were analyzed by Simple Regression, Multiple Regression in SPSS Win program(15.0 version). The main results of this study were as follows. First, principal's transformational and transactional leadership each exerted positive effects on teacher's subjective quality of life and organizational commitment. Second, teacher's subjective quality of life had a positive influence on organizational commitment. Finally, each effect of principal's transformational and transactional leadership on teacher's organizational commitment was mediated by teacher's subjective quality of life.

지식ㆍ정보화 사회에서는 교사가 학생에게 교과서의 지식뿐만 아니라, 학생 스스로 인지 구조를 형성할 수 있도록 다양한 정보를 제공해야 한다. 따라서, 동일한 교과를 강의하는 교사들은 웹 상의 대량의 정보 가운데서 의미 있는 정보를 서로 교환ㆍ공유하여 교수-학습활동에 활용할 필요가 있다. 기존 웹 상의 교수-학습자료 시스템은 주로 HTML을 이용하기 때문에 한정된 태그만을 사용하여 사용자가 원하는 형태의 기능을 지원할 수 없을 뿐만 아니라 이런 태그들은 정확한 의미를 전달하지 못한다. 또한 구조화 능력이 부족하여 문서의 계층 구조를 표현하지 못하며, 효과적인 저장과 검색이 불가능하다. 즉, 화면상에 보여지는 기능 외에는 색다른 기능을 제공하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 동일한 교과를 강의하는 교사가 교수-학습자료를 웹 상에서 손쉽게 작성하여 원활하게 교환할 수 있도록 XML 문서로 생성하는 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. XML 문서의 교수-학습자료는 의미 있는 정보 전달과 문서의 구조화가 가능하다 또한 데이터를 수정하는 기능과 다양한 표현 형식이 가능하도록 지원함으로써 기존의 교수-학습자료의 재사용을 가능케 한다. 결과적으로, 교사가 교수-학습자료 작성에 드는 시간과 노력을 절약하여 본연의 임무에 충실하도록 해줌으로써 교수-학습활동의 질을 향상시킬 수 있다.

교사가 수업의 질을 높이고 학습자에게 양질의 학습 컨텐츠를 제공하기 위해서는 멀티미디어 리터러시가 꼭 필요하며 이의 향상을 위해서 시공간적 제약을 받지 않는 원격교육이 적합하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 교사들에게 필요한 멀티미디어 리터러시 향상을 위하여 원격교육 시스템을 설계하고 구현하는 방안을 모색한다. 알맞은 교육내용을 선정하고 스토리보드를 작성한 후 멀티미디어 데이터를 제작하고 HTML문서로 저작, 서비스하는 일련의 과정을 구체적이고 체계적으로 설계와 구현 방안으로 나누어 정리하였다. 원격교육에서 소홀하기 쉬운 상호작용성을 증가시키기 위한 다양한 방법을 모색하였으며, 원격교육에 관심 있는 교사라면 누구나 쉽게 적용할 수 있고 개발할 수 있도록 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.
