Since information technology such as database or network technology was brought into the information and library science fields, the functions and services of libraries have drastically changed. To cope with the changes of fields, library schools have been improving curricula. This study collected curricula of library and information science in US and Korea and selected classes related to information technology. It also investigated the title keywords and keywords of class description statistically. As a result, 'system, 'database', 'network', 'programing', 'web' are major topic keywords for both countries, but 'library'shows high frequency pnly in Korea.

The Internet is changing or even eliminating old organizational schemes, including education. A growing number of universities and graduate schools are creating curriculums to reflect these changes. Business schools have prepared their students for a corporate world to offer some E-commerce courses. While E-commerce courses are proliferating in computer and information science schools, they are also spreading to other university departments including law and advertising. The objective of this paper is to suggest a prototype E-commerce curriculum for E-commerce departments. First, we survey and compare the E-commerce curriculum offered in many universities. Second, we provide the new E-commerce curriculum model for Korean universities. E-courses are classified as three knowledge areas of E-commerce courses such as business, technology, and core. We prioritize E-courses selected and rank their importance through an exploratory study for suggesting the undergraduate or graduate curriculum.

Although it has taken some time to apply the accreditation system in Korea, most programs have a very difficult time in assessing program outcomes, one of the most important standards in accreditation. The major purpose of this work is to suggest a method, so called course embedded assessment, by which to assess a course that includes several program outcomes. The course was evaluated based on student performance on each exam taken in the course as well as a report submitted by the students. The course embedded assessment provides not only an effective tool by which to assess course-set program outcomes, but also allow the instructor to follow up and/or modify the course material to be offered in next semester.

본 연구는 충북지역에서 근무하는 현직 영양사들을 대상으로, 그들의 직무 수행도와, 대학에서 배웠던 전공교과목에 대한 중요도 및 추가로 필요로 하는 교과목에 대하여, 설문지를 통하여 조사한 내용이다. 회수된 설문지는 총 213부였고, 최종 통계처리에 사용된 설문지는 178부였다. 조사기간은 2002년 12월-2003년 1월까지의 2개월 간이었고, 사용된 통계처리 방법은 t-test와 ANOVA 분석 (사후분석으로 Duncan test)이었다.(중략)

Zadeh(1965)에 의하여 도입된 퍼지이론은 최근 컴퓨터공학이나 산업공학에 응용되기 시작하면서 그 유용성이 확인된 후 여러 분야에서 관심을 갖기 시작한 새로운 이론이다. 특히 제 산업분야에서 나타나는 통계모델의 정확한 분석을 위한 퍼지이론의 이용은 그들 분야의 발전은 물론 새로운 통계분석 방법을 제시하는데 큰 의의가 있다하겠다. 이와 같은 중요성에 비추어 퍼지이론을 이용한 통계 분석을 학생들에게 효과적으로 학습시키는 것은 매우 중요한 일로서 이 연구는 통계분석방법을 퍼지이론으로 이해하고 또한 새로운 통계적 퍼지 모델을 어떻게 개발하고 응용할 것인가를 제시하고자 하는 교과목 연구이다. 이 연구가 향후 다양한 시대적 요구에 부응하는 새로운 교과목 개발의 전기가 되기를 기대한다.

With the change of the undergraduate medical education system, many medical schools have recently run or developed a medical education curriculum. The premedical curriculum should be designed according to the sequencing and level of the medical curriculum, but there were no discussions on the standards or evidence for the basic science-related subjects. Therefore, this study examines Physics I, Physics II, Life sciences I, Life sciences II, Chemistry I, and Chemistry II, which are the subjects of need assessment exploration. The need assessment used mean, mean difference, and Borich demand, The locus for focus of memory degree and importance, and the result was converted into 76 keywords. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for the development of subjects related to basic science in premedical curriculum.

This study evaluates Core Competences of Librarianship announced at the congress of American Library Association on January 27th, 2009. For this study, we trained 17 librarians working at academic library, and find out each importance, major intention, required subjects regarding 8 scopes and 40 detailed qualifications indicated Core Competences of Librarianship through survey. The result of this study is that importance order of 8 scopes is organization of recorded knowledge and information, foundations of the profession, reference and user services, and importance order of major intention is foundations of the profession, research, reference and user services respectively. Importance order of required subjects for nurturing Core Competences of Librarianship is library management, information service, and introduction to library and information science, library and information policy, research methods for librarianship, and library automation respectively.

This study critically review the textbooks and the syllabus of computer network courses currently used at universities, and the specifications of the certifications concerned to provide the students with the competitive and optimized course contents. Considering the vitality of the practicum in the computer network courses, we also suggest a new learning-instruction case study that focuses on the practice by analyzing the computer network practice test simulators which are certified nationally and the internationally. The proposed learning-instruction case study for computer network courses includes the weekly core lessons and contents, study goals and key points, the practice theme, handy tools based on two track of lecture and practice. Therefore it is expected to be a quite resourceful and practical teaching plan for the teacher, and a highly achievement of learning outcomes through motivation which can facilitate CCNA certification enrolling in the field of network aspect for the learner.

This paper discusses the changing roles of tutors when engaging with e-learning of engineering basic design courses. Understanding the importance of these roles and identifying necessary tutoring skills are the two main keys to the success of e-learning solutions. Since online tutors play a critical role in e-learning, they must be equipped with an appropriate set of skills and attributes. The roles of e-tutors involve the social, organizational, intellectual, and technical tasks.

The purpose of this study is to develop an approach to teaching qualitative research methods (TQRM) for Library and Information Science. To draw trend of TQRM, 76 course syllabi collected in the research oriented universities' master and doctoral programs, were analyzed using content analysis. The study proposes both common topics and essential strategies for TQRM in terms of the paradigm of qualitative research, research design, wide range of approaches to QR, diversity of collecting and analyzing data, writing, and evaluation criteria. It is very important to identify qualitative stance and to understand paradigms and philosophical and theoretical frameworks of QR for conducting QR reiteratively, creatively, reflectively.
