A Study on the MAP DB Design for Visualization of Spatial Information (공간정보 가시화를 위한 MAP DB 설계방안 연구)

  • 공간정보는 도형적인 요소와 결합된 비도형 속성에 의하여 데이터베이스를 형성하고 있어 필요시에는 언제든지 가시적인 형태로 보여줄 수 있어야 그 효율성이 증대된다. 이를 위하여 가장 많이 이용할 수 있는 것이 다양한 형태의 지도이다. 본 연구에서는 지도의 다양한 형태를 구분하여 필요시에 언제든지 보여줄 수 있는 지도 콘텐츠의 데이터베이스를 설계하고 SQL문으로 손쉽게 검색하여 보여줄 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 약 100여 가지의 다양한 지도파일을 인덱스로 구분하여 도엽번호, 지명, 년대별, 주제별로 공간정보의 가시화를 보여줄 수 있었다.

  • To grow as talents with future oriented knowledge and creativity, students need imaginative power and creativeness, and to that end, mathematics and science subjects may help. Students need activities that help gain explorative mind for new things, concentrating ability, researching ability and creativeness, and such attributes can be improved through the activities of making various shapes utilizing space geometry in 4D-frame. Such activities not only contribute to defining ability in mathematics but also cherish the qualifications required as architects and space scientists.

  • The development of hardware, popularization of 3D graphics software could get to easily use 3d graphics tool in the school. And learning difficulties of a shape section increased through more being enforced a shape section of an elementary school. Thus we try to improve learning effectiveness in a shape section using Sketech Up software. To do this, we analyzed existing studies, classified 3D graphics software, provided the selection criteria of vector graphics software. And we explained how to select 3D graphics software. We selected and reorganized the shape contents to use Sketch Up, which make and rotate 3D figures, understand aspects of a shape. And we inserted the content about piling 3D figures in the beginning state of the curriculum. we composed 10 periods and practiced our reorganized curriculum to the teaching and learning using Sketch Up. And we conducted before & after survey to check out t-verified. And we acquired meaningful results statistically. Thus applying Sketch Up to the shape learning can be analyzed effectively.

An Influence of Visualization on Geometric Problem Solving in the Elementary Mathematics (시각화가 초등기하문제해결에 미치는 영향)

  • In the elementary mathematics, geometric education emphasize spatial sense and understandings of figures through development of intuitions in space. Especially space visualization is one of the factors which try conclusion with geometric problem solving. But studies about space visualization are limited to middle school geometric education, studies in elementary level haven't been done until now. Namely, discussions about elementary students' space visualization process and methods in plane or space figures is deficient in relation to geometric problem solving. This paper examines these aspects, especially in relation to plane and space problem solving in elementary levels. First, we investigate visualization methods for plane problem solving and space problem solving respectively, and analyse in diagram form how progress understanding of figures and visualization process. Next, we derive constituent factor on visualization process, and make a check errors which represented by difficulties in visualization process. Through these analysis, this paper aims at deriving an influence of visualization on geometric problem solving in the elementary mathematics.

An Analysis of Elementary Mathematics Textbooks on Three-Dimensional Figures (입체도형에 관한 초등학교 수학 교과서 분석)

  • This paper analyzed the topics dealing with three-dimensional figures in most recently revised mathematics textbooks on the basis of the national mathematics curriculum announced in 2007. First, the overall content was analyzed with regard to how textbooks were aligned to the curriculum as well as how the main elements including the definitions of specific solid figures were introduced and developed in different units across grades. Second, the instructional methods of three-dimensional figures were analyzed, which specifically revealed the lack of inquiry phase before introducing cones and pyramids. Third, the instructional methods to foster students' spatial sense with solid figures were analyzed, which showed the increased focus on the prediction and representation of figures. It is expected that the issues and suggestions from this study are informative revising curricular materials and applying them to the classroom.

  • 지리정보시스템(Geographic Information System, GIS)에서 지도 수정 작업은 대화식으로 이루어지는 긴 트랜잭션이다. 도로 객체와 같은 큰 공간 도형을 수정하는 경우 한 작업자의 변경을 위한 잠금이 다른 작업자가 동일한 객체의 지리적으로 떨어져 있는 기타 부분에 대만 변경을 못하게 하는 문제가 존재한다. 예를 들면, 38번 국도를 수정하려고 할 때 하나의 큰 라인 객체 전체가 잠금 대상이 되어서 다른 지역의 33번 국도를 동시에 수정하지 못하는 문제가 있다 본 논문에서는 크기가 큰 공간 객체를 동시에 수정하는 것을 허용하기 위하여 하나의 BLOB 데이터로 저장된 공간 데이터를 동시에 수정할 수 있는 부분 잠금 기법을 제안한다 즉 하나의 공간 객체를 여러 명이 동시에 수정하기 위하여 공간 도형에 대한 메타 데이터를 유지하고 이를 기반으로 한 잠금 정보를 표현함으로써 긴 트랜젝션에서의 동시성 제어를 실현하는 이점을 제공한다.

  • In these days, the attributes data recorded in computerization of cadastral maps is just written in its own format, not considered the relation with graphic data. Therefore, digital information linked attribute data to graphic data is necessary to be performed as fundamental data of graphic information and analysis of various spatial information. This study is to present the possibility of GIS application by constructing cadastral information related to graphic and attribute Information based on the cadastral map. Attribute information was constructed as a relational database form using data modeling and entity-relationship diagram. Thus, this study is expected to be used as a fundamental data for various public planning and design including the effective management of cadastral information and building parcel based land information system by presenting various spatial analysis and application methods.

Comparative Analysis of Elementary Mathematics Textbooks in Korea and China: Focused on the area of Geometry (우리나라와 중국의 초등수학 교과서의 도형영역 비교.분석)

  • This study is aimed to compare the area of geometry of elementary mathematics textbooks in korea and china. Through this study, we would like to suggest some guidelines in order to develop geometric curriculum and textbooks in korea and to search for more efficient methods of learning mathematics. For this, we have looked through the general characteristics of geometry domain in mathematics curriculums and the textbooks in korea and china. Furthermore, we have found the similarities and differences while comparing specific contents in the two countries. The followings are the conclusions of this study. First, The mathematics curriculum in korea is divided into 'figure' domain, but the one in china is divided into 'space and figure' domain, which deals with figure and measurement. And china constructs the contents of the basic figure as a whole unit. Second, korea gives clear learning aims about contents whereas china gives learning activities. Lastly, when starting teaching a plain figure, korea focuses on checking and finding definitions and characters through fundamental figures. However, china focuses on figuring out components and the relations among them throughout various plain figure activities.

  • Moving figures and piling up some boxes are newly the introduced studying contents in the 7th curriculum of mathematics and it will be able to form the sense of space of the students. Against the studying contents for the sense of space formation, the teachers of site speak instruction is very difficult and the student's scores are low. Elementary school mathematics studying which inclusive of figure studying is the most effective when they operate the actual object. But in the school site, the instruction with actual object is very difficult because many reasons. And web based studying data system which is for forming the sense of space the students is not abundant because it started initially. From this dissertation, studying contents will be taken out and web base figure studying system will be designed and embodied. The interaction will be active in the system. Student will be able to understand the principle by the medium of the animation from the system and they can improve their sense of space by the interesting game.
