Study of Hull Form Development of Wave-Piercing-Type High-Speed Planing Boat (파랑관통형 고속활주선 선형개발에 관한 연구)

  • A new wave-piercing-type high-speed planing boat without a chine was developed, and its basic performance was investigated in a model test, including the resistance, trim, and sinkage. The maximum speed of the developed ship was 35 knots. The hull form was developed by combining a VSV (very slender vessel) and TH (transonic hull), which have large deadrise angles at the bow. The main dimensions were estimated by a statistical approach using actual ship data. The effect of a side fin attached at the stern near the water line was investigated from a resistance point of view. It was found that the developed hull form showed the possibility of a new concept for a high-speed planing hull without a chine, and the side fin played an important role in increasing the resistance performance by controlling the trim and sinkage in the high-speed range.

  • 현재 박막형 태양전지는 실리콘계가 주류를 이루고 있으며, 유리기판 또는 유연성 기판에 비정질 실리콘 박막을 형성시킨 태양전지와 실리콘 기판 양면에 태양전지를 형성하는 방법 등 효율을 극대화시킨 이종접합 태양전지 등이 연구되고 있다. 예컨대 밴드갭이 서로 다른 박막들 간의 이종접합을 이용한 tandem 구조 및 triple 구조의 Si 박막 태양전지의 경우 13%대 변환효율을 나타낸다고 보고된 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 비정질 Si 박막 태양전지 내 흡수층의 효율을 최대화하기 위하여 AZO/Ag 이중구조 박막의 특성에 관한 연구를 수행하고자 한다. combinatorial sputtering system을 이용하여 AZO/Ag 이중구조 박막을 제작하였으며 타겟으로는 4-inch target(Ag, 2wt% Al2O3 doped ZnO)이 사용되었다. 유리기판 상에 combinatorial sputter system으로 상온에서 제작된 Ag 박막의 두께는 25nm로 성장시켰으며 연속공정으로 AZO 박막을 제작하였고, AZO 박막은 100~500nm의 두께경사를 나타내었다. 이 때 유리기판상에 성장된 Ag/AZO 박막의 면저항은 약 $2{\Omega}/{\Box}$ 값을 나타내었다. 본 발표에서는 AZO/Ag 이중 구조 박막의 우수한 전기적 특성을 기반으로 표면 거칠기 및 반사도 특성 등에 관하여 추가적으로 토론한다.

  • Geological and geophysical surveys were performed to examined the cause of the rock-mass slide occurred at the opening site of the Wanglim tunnel of the Seoul-Pusan High Speed Railway. The results of geophygical survey and geometrical analysis for the geological structures indicate that the rock-mass slide was triggered by the heavy rainfall which increases the groundwater level and results in high pore pressure in the N60$^{\circ}$ E-trending major fractured zone of the slope, and that the foliation dipping toward the vertical open face of the slope acted as a main sliding plane during movement.

Viscous Flow Calculation around a 30 FT-class Sailing Yacht Hull (30ft급 요트 선체 주위의 점성유동 해석)

  • Turbulent flows around a sailing yacht hull were calculated using CFD technique. Grid system was generated by using Gridgen package and Fluent package was used to calculate flows around a 30ft-class yacht hull designed by MOERI. The drafts at starboard and port sides of a yacht. when the hull was heeled, were determined by adjusting the same displacement in the generated grid system. Pressure distribution on the sailing yacht hull was obtained and the changes of drag and side force by heel and leeway variation were shown. The flow calculations have been carried out both with and without free surface, and keel and rudder were included for both cases. It was found that the calculated results with free surface gives better agreement with experiments than those without free surface, although there are still a room for the improvement in correct prediction of forces.

  • This paper is the result of investigation of ONO PPSM(ONO PORTABLE SLIP METER) by way of experiment to see the validity as a slip meter, ONO PPSM is a portable slip meter which was made up for the weak points of O-Y PSM(ONO-YOSHIOKA PULL SLIP METER) which takes an accurate measurement of the slip resistance but very heavy and hard to operate. In order to know the stability of the measurement result of ONO PPSM, we measured the slip resistance against 4 different kind of floor materials. As a result of this, we found out that the coefficient of variability of CSR' is less than 0.05. Also, we verified the relation between CSR' and CSR. more specifically by doing the slip test against 7 different kinds of inorganic matter floor materials. We increased the usability of ONO PPSM as a slip meter by suggesting the method of sharing the evaluation index of slip of CSR' and C.S.R.

Relationship between RCOF Calculated from the Results of Gait Analysis and CSR Measured Using O-Y·PSM (O-Y·PSM에 의한 CSR과 보행분석에 의한 RCOF와의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to present the necessary data concerning the selection and development of floor-coverings in view of slipperiness by comparing the relationship between CSR measured with O-Y·PSM and RCOF calculated from the result of gait analysis. CSR was calculated from maximum tensile load(Pmax) divided by perpendicular load(785N) when pulled 18 degrees upward the moment the bottom of the slip piece contacted the surface of the test piece. RCOF was calculated based on Fy/Fz from when horizontal load reached the maximum point within the sections from the moment the front of outsole touched the test piece to when pulled off the test piece. The results from the research were as follows: (1) Range of CSR was 0.15-1.02, which meant the differences of slipperiness of the test pieces definitely showed up. (2) RCOF are inadequate to express the characteristic about the slipperiness of the floors, since there were no differences between the test pieces.

  • 산지유역은 하천을 따라서 도로가 발달되어 있어서 대부분의 도로가 홍수시 하천의 영향을 많이 받는다. 산지하천은 경사가 급하고 만곡수충부가 많이 발달되어 있기 때문에 홍수시 유속이 빠르고 만곡수충부의 편수위가 매우 크다. 이는 만곡부 호안 파괴와 도로 유실의 피해를 일으키는 경우가 많다. 따라서 대부분의 산지하천 만곡수충부에는 홍수피해 방지를 위해 콘크리트 옹벽호안으로 되어 있다. 그러나 콘크리트 옹벽은 조도가 작기 때문에 유속이 더 빠르게 되고 편수위를 한층 증대시킬 수 있다. 산지하천 만곡수충부의 편수위를 줄이기 위해서는 접근유속을 줄여야 하나 산지하천 특성으로 볼 때 접근유속 저감을 위한 공학적 방법은 제한적이다. 따라서 만곡수충부의 유속을 줄이는 방법으로 콘크리트 옹벽호안의 조도계수를 증대시키는 것이 효과적일 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 개수로 측벽에 수직돌출줄눈이 설치되었을 때 흐름에 미치는 수리효과를 개수로 수리실험으로 파악하고자 한 것이다. 실험결과 돌출줄눈의 간격이 수직돌출줄눈의 무차원 폭이 9일 때 평균유속이 가장 작게 나타났다. 이는 돌출줄눈의 간격이 개수로 내부흐름의 유속분포, 최대유속발생 위치, 유수단 면적의 크기에 영향이 미치기 때문이다. 따라서 개수로 측벽 수직돌출줄눈의 간격을 조절함으로써 개수로 유수저항의 크기를 조절할 수 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 영국 환경청의 지원 하에 HR Wallingford에서 2003년에 개발한 Conveyance Estimation System(CES)을 이용하여 하천 조도계수를 산정해보고자 하였다. CES프로그램은 하천지형 정보인 단면 형상, 하상경사, 하상재료, 식생 상태 등의 정보를 바탕으로 임의 단면내 각 저항요인에 따라 프로그램에서 제시하고 있는 조도계수를 적용함으로써 수위변화에 따른 단면적, 유량, 통수능, 동수반경 등의 계산 결과를 제공한다. 이러한 계산 결과들을 Manning식에 대입함으로 써 유량 변화에 따른 조도계수를 산정할 수 있다. 섬진강 곡성 지점에 CES프로그램을 적용하여 계산된 조도계수를 실측 조도계수, 하천정비기본 계획에 제시된 조도계수와 비교하였다. 산정된 조도계수는 모두 유량 증가에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보이며, 약 $1,000m^3/s$이상의 고유량에서 실측자료를 이용하여 산정된 조도계수와 유사한 값에서 수렴하는 결과를 나타내고 있다. 섬진강 곡성지점 외에 추가 지점을 분석한 결과에서도 실측 조도계수와 CES를 이용한 조도계수가 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 따라서 CES프로그램을 이용하면 하천의 지형 정보만을 가지고도 조도계수, 수위-유량 관계식 등의 추정이 가능하기 때문에 실무적으로 유용하게 사용될 것이다.

Dynamic Behavior of the Breasting Dolphin Caused by Wave Power (파력에 의한 돌핀의 거동 특성)

  • In this study, the behavior of breasting dolphin caused by the maximum wave height in the coastal area of Incheon has been investigated. The dynamic deflection, shear stress and moment of pile are analyzed using the coefficient of horizontal subgrade reaction resulted from loading tests for different DWT (Dead Weight Tonnage). The dynamic characteristics of pile in accumulated and dredged soils show almost the same pattern. It is shown that the resistance of dolphin to external load increases as the diameter of pile increases. The bettered pile dolphin is more than 10 times stable than the vertical pile type based on the study of dynamic characteristics of dolphin.

Interfacial Evaluation of Single-Carbon Fiber/Phenolic and Carbon Nanotube-Phenolic Composites Using Micromechanical Tests and Electrical Resistance Measurements (미세역학시험법과 전기저항 측정을 이용한 탄소섬유/페놀수지 및 탄소나노튜브-페놀수지 복합재료의 계면특성 평가)

  • Interfacial evaluation was investigated for single-carbon fiber/phenolic and carbon nanotube (CNT)-phenolic composites by micromechanical technique and electrical resistance measurement combined with wettability test. Compressive strength of pure phenol and CNT-phenolic composites were compared using Broutman specimen. The contact resistance of CNT-phenolic composites was obtained using a gradient specimen by two and four-point methods. Surface energies and wettability by dynamic contact angle measurement were measured using Wilhelmy plate technique. Since hydrophobic domains are formed as heterogeneous microstructure of CNT in the surface, the dynamic contact angle exhibited more than $90^{\circ}$. CNT-phenolic composites exhibited a higher apparent modulus than neat phenolic case due to better stress transferring effect. Work of adhesion, $W_a$ between single-carbon fiber and CNT-phenolic composites exhibited higher than neat phenolic resin due to the enhanced viscosity by CNT addition. It was consistent with micro-failure patterns in microdroplet test.
