  • Whereas comics were printed on a paper in the past, it is now possible to produce digital comics thanks to the development of computer technology. However, it only came to be implemented on a monitor instead of paper and did not fully utilize a digital environment. That is because most digital comics have been made to be transferred in 'one-way' which means that contents of authors are transferred only to readers not vice versa. Recently, the notion of the 'interactive' in the digital contents takes its own shape even at the 'interactive way' of the communications change through the author and the reader's interactivity using the digital technology. As such, the study put more importance on the digital comics in a proper interactive story-telling structure and one of its category through the suggestion of the above and the soil where to develop the following study.

  • In this study, as the first attempt to develop an experiential game tourism program using Korean classical literature, the primary research was conducted on Kim Soo-Jang and his anthology "Hae Dong Ga Yo". To this end, a theoretical review of the value of hands-on games and Korean classical literature as tourism content was conducted first. Afterwards, the consumers for the program were set up into three categories: family unit, MZ generation including lovers, and foreigners. A survey was conducted to confirm the program preference of each group. According to the analysis framework, the main value of each historical and cultural resource in "Hae Dong Ga Yo" and seven sijo pieces created by Kim Soo-Jang was discovered and, based on the survey, the preferences of the consumer related to the target were analyzed. Accordingly, the narrative structures were organized differently for each group. An adventure plot was designed for the family unit, a love plot for MZ generation and lovers, and a mixture of adventure and love for foreigners. Utilizing stories from Kim Soo-Jang and his works, which are rarely used despite their value, this study attempted to develop them into hands-on game tourism programs to create new outlets in terms of both Korean classical literature and the tourism area. In the future, if various Joseon literati are discovered and their storytelling is continued, we can expect the vitalization of the travel product line with the concept of classical literature travel.

  • This study investigates the determinants of continuous user intention of playing on-line games. Based on the data collected through on-line survey, we find that telepresense and commitment influence on the perceived utility of on-line games which, in turn, has effects on continuous user intention of and information sharing among on-line game players. In addition, the findings support the premise that the method of playing game and challenges influence on commitment, whereas rewards for playing game do not. As another determinant of perceived utility of on-line games, telepresense is found to be guided by diplomatic system and storytelling in on-line games.

This research has produced a mobile AR augmented reality game that anyone can easily access by developing contents that can be enjoyed with new tourists. It aims to spread 10 million tourists to surrounding tourist attractions by developing a new storytelling-based AR game using the symbol of Jeonju, which is the birthplace of the Joseon Dynasty, and promote economic value-added activities in nearby stores. GPS technology and AR marker-based action augmented reality games will be newly established as cultural contents based on new regional scenarios. Augmented reality games that combine visual resources are increasing values of local brands by playing games at Jeonju tourist attractions.

  • Recent statistics revealed that with the crisis of humanities, the unemployment rate of the students majoring in this field of study is very high. Considering the seriousness of current situations, the government announced 'Plan to Help Students Majoring in Humanities Find Job.' This study confirmed that the government's policy for those from the department of humanities is valid and reasonable. However, the convergence of humanistic imagination and engineering thoughts could generate some side effects. Therefore, this study suggested a direction for humanistic convergence education to help these students get the career they want. In this study was investigated methodology which can maximize the efficiency of digital storytelling through microscopic convergence instead of macroscopic convergence. In addition, this study proposed that an inter-disciplinary convergence system-based project would be the best solution to nurture convergence-oriented talents in humanities.
