Implementation of Image Monitoring system using High Speed Camera for Overhead Contact Wire (고속 카메라를 이용한 전차선 형상 검측 시스템 구현)

  • In electric railway, image monitoring using high speed camera provides reliable, timely information of wear and geometry status, important in taking decisions for overhead contact wire maintenance. The contribution of this research is the development of a simple real-time monitoring system for use in measurement subsystem of contact wire and geometry of overhead contact wire in electric railway. The system has been consists of a high speed CMOS camera with resolution $1024{\times}1280$ pixels, line type laser source and PC-based image acquisition system with PCI Express slot. Vision acquisition software have been used in application programming interface for image acquisition, display, and storage with a frequency of sampling of 500 acquisitions per second.

  • ATC facility manipulates ground-on-board information, which transmits speed limit, varying as wayside environments - safety facility, track gradient, inclination, bridge and tunnel and other factors, installed for safe operation of trains on wayside. Efficientiation and automatification of operation and maintenance is being realized, by measuring if there are any erroneous information, using a measuring car. In this paper, we study in priority the methods for measuring accurately distinctive properties of internal malfunctions of track circuits, the performance decrease of condensers, and the unbalance of return cables, which are actually required for functionality improvement of high-speed line signal measure facilities, by measuring the unbalance of return current given because of damaged factors of external track circuits.

  • The current collection between pantograph and contact wire is a more critical component for need to train speed up in electric railway. The basic purpose of this paper is to establish a measure of determining arc by developing an arc detector assessment system. The system was designed under conditions of EN 50317 and simulations were conducted using the developed device. According to the results, it was possible to conduct certification tests following regulations of international standards. To check the validity of our approach for the intended application, we analysis contact loss of catenary system using developed arcing measurement system in Korea. The proposed arcing measurement system is expected to enhance precision of current collection quality performance assessment methods at high-speed lines and conventional lines.

  • This study examines environmental performance of the arcing measurement module according to international standards. The module assesses the collected current performance using a computer system. The module is required to assess environmental impact resulting from electromagnetic waves, shock and temperature change during train operation. The test includes testing EMI/EMC, vibration, shock and temperature cycling for interface between trains and the arcing measurement module. The module test items were determined in compliance with the standards suggested by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and Europaische Norm (EN). This study describes the method of test, test equipment operation and how to choose relevant performance standards. The analysis and test results of environmental performance for the module based on computer system are described in this study.

  • The purpose of this paper is to summarize characteristics of fire growth stages, combustion proceeding, human behavior factors against fire, fire active protections, fire alarms in order to perform public safety and protection, personnel property protection, with identification of economic analysis aspects based on respective stages classified as fire generation- fire growth- flashover- fire extinction, which is differ from previous studies that based on distinct concepts such as fire stages, escapes, building construction, fire sensing.

  • With increasing interest in the reduction of cost for operation and maintenance of overhead catenary system, various methods of condition monitoring have been developed. In this paper, we proposed network-based telemetry system for condition monitoring in railway and acquired data from any kind of sensor in catenary line and structure at high voltage. This development gives the solution for online condition monitoring in railway. To check the validity of our approach in terms of application, we realized network-based telemetry System.

  • 본 논문에서는 우리나라 고속선에서 사용 중인 UM71C 궤도회로의 ESJ(Electrical Separation Joint : 전기적 절연 구간)에서 정상 운행상태에서의 검측데이터 파형과 살수 및 수동살사의 요인에 따른 파형을 비교 및 분석하였다. 차상검측시스템에서 차상신호파형의 왜곡특성을 분석함으로써 지상과 차상간의 인터페이스 분석 및 열차의 안전운행을 확보하기 위한 기초자료로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Track geometry changes by traffic loads. The bigger the changes are, the worse the riding comfort and running stability of train. This is so-called track irregularity and is the most important quality parameters of ballasted track. To objectively assess track irregularity, track geometry should be able to be measured. Practically, railway companies use moving chord method, which determine versine values via a chord. The versine is the vertical distance to curve measured in the middle of the chord. This type of method measures only versine of track irregularity curve by transfer function from the characteristics of measuring device. In this report, review the characteristics of two types of measuring tools by comparing the measurements. The one is GRP-1000 system, optical surveying system with Total station and lazar prism trolley. This calculates track geometry by surveying absolute coordinates of two points each on both rail heads. The other is EM-120, measures versine with 10m of symmetrical chord length.

  • 본 연구에서는 무인이동체를 활용한 철도교량의 외관조사 점검을 보다 효율적이고 객관성 있게 수행하기 위하여 무인이동체를 통해 촬영된 이미지를 딥러닝 기반 분석기술을 활용하여 손상 자동으로 분석 하기위한 기술을 연구하였다. 철도교량의 외관 손상 중 균열, 콘크리트 박리·박락, 누수, 철근노출에 대한 손상 이미지를 추출하여 딥러닝 분석 모델을 생성하고 학습한 분석 모델을 적용한 시스템을 실제 현장에 적용 테스트를 수행하였으며 학습 구현된 분석모델의 검측 재현율을 검토한 결과 평균 95%이상의 감지성능을 검토할 수 있었다. 개발 제안된 자동손상분석 기술은 기존 육안점검 결과 대비 보다 객관적이고 정밀한 손상 검측이 가능하며 철도 유지관리 분야에서 무인이동체를 활용한 외관조사 업무를 수행함에 있어 기존 대비 객관적인 결과도출과 소요시간, 비용저감이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

  • 산업현장에서 이용되는 각종 제어 및 계측 시스템들은 그 용도에 따라 여러 개의 프로세서 모듈이나 기기들로 나뉜다. 이들 프로세서 모듈이나 기기들은 각각의 기능이나 요구 사항에 따라 서로 다른 공간에 설치, 운용 되며 정보교환과 제어를 위하여 통합된 데이터 처리 기술을 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 분산 시스템들의 경제적이고 효율적인 통신을 위한 버스 중재 기법에 대하여 다루고 있다. 제안 된 구조는 메시지 기반 데이터 교환 방식으로 이를 위해 표준 메시지 규격을 정의하였으며 메시지를 해석하여 경로를 설정하고 버스 중재를 담당하는 버스 중재 모듈을 구현하였다. 또한 구현된 버스 중재 모듈을 사용하여 실제 검측 시스템을 구성하고 실험하였다.
