A Study on Personalized Recommendation Method Based on Contents Using Activity and Location Information (이용자 이용행위 및 콘텐츠 위치정보에 기반한 개인화 추천방법에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose user contents using behavior and location information on contents on various channels, such as web, IPTV, for contents distribution. With methods to build user and contents profiles, contents using behavior as an implicit user feedback was applied into machine learning procedure for updating user profiles and contents preference. In machine learning procedure, contents-based and collaborative filtering methods were used to analyze user's contents preference. This study proposes contents location information on web sites for final recommendation contents as well. Finally, we refer to a generalized recommender system for personalization. With those methods, more effective and accurate recommendation service can be possible.

  • Mobile Communication Companies are trying to increase data services rather than telephone communication services that already became saturated as the competition of mobile communication market gets intensified. However, it is hard and time-consuming for customers to find desired mobile phone wireless services because of the limitation of screen and speed of the mobile phone. Therefore, the market does not grow rapidly as mobile communication companies expected. In our research, we suggest a personalized wireless service recommendation system that considers each individual context by using geographic information and wireless internet usage logs to overcome the mentioned problems. In order to design and implement the system, we conducted clustering analysis on base stations and real service usage logs of each base station, and suggested a personalized recommendation system based on collaborative filtering that uses the clustering results. Moreover, we verified the performances of our system with experiments.

  • 빠른 속도로 보급되고 있는 스마트폰과 함께 위치 기반 서비스(LBS: Location Based Service) 시장 또한 빠르게 성장하고 있다. 실내에서의 위치 기반 서비스 요구사항이 증가하는 반면 실내 위치 추적의 기술적 어려움 때문에 실내 LBS는 기대에 부응하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그 시장성 때문에 글로벌 IT(Information Technology) 기업들의 다양한 시도와 노력이 이루어지고 있다. 본고에서는 스마트폰 운영체제의 양대산맥인 매Android와 iOS를 개발한 구글과 애플의 지도 및 내비게이션 기술, 위치 기반 개인 비서 서비스 및 근거리 통신 기반 위치 기술 서비스에 대한 최신 동향을 살펴본다.

Recommending Personalized POI Considering Time and User Activity in Location Based Social Networks (위치기반 소셜 네트워크에서 시간과 사용자 활동을 고려한 개인화된 POI 추천)

  • With the development of location-aware technologies and the activation of smart phones, location based social networks(LBSN) have been activated to allow people to easily share their location. In particular, studies on recommending the location of user interests by using the user check-in function in LBSN have been actively conducted. In this paper, we propose a location recommendation scheme considering time and user activities in LBSN. The proposed scheme considers user preference changes over time, local experts, and user interest in rare places. In other words, it uses the check-in history over time and distinguishes the user activity area to identify local experts. It also considers a rare place to give a weight to the user preferred place. It is shown through various performance evaluations that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing schemes.

  • It is essential to ensure public use of and privacy of location information for promoting the location based services. The grade designation for location information is required to accomplish them. The grade designation for location information can increase the reliability of location information and reinforce the right of choice for user. Therefore the institution of grade designation for location information should be introduced rapidly to keep up with the growth of the location based services industry.

  • Nowadays the development of mobile systems occupies significant part of our life, and users using mobile phones are demanding the utilization of differentiated spatial information. A study on application which provides information according to individual location information such as mobile advertisement is conducted for the location-based mobile service. In order to allow mobile phone users to share information based on local information, this paper proposes a mobile sharing system which combines social networks and location-based service to provide efficient information based on location information in mobile phones. The application can be provided with information associated with its location when the mobile phone user arrives at a specific location. Another proposed method focuses on providing more appropriate services for individual situations compared to other applications, and can contribute to expanding social networking functions to facilitate information sharing among users.

  • As the disclosure of privacy information has grown steadily, concerns about mobile services based on the personal information also increased. We aspired to reveal factors influencing the use of Location-Based services(LBS) App and analyse how the perceived risk affected between these factors and the use of LBS App. Results showed that usefulness and social influence influenced on the use of LBS App. We also found that the group who highly recognized the perceived risk was highly affected by usefulness and the group who lowly recognized the perceived risk was highly affected by social influence. Findings show that the company's strategy should be different depending on the level of consumers' perceived risk.

  • As services using mobile devices increase, exposure of personal information, and secure threats increase. In this paper, we propose a location-based user authentication system used in mobile device for tightening security. Our authentication system is performed to authenticate two steps. The first authentication is location authentication to ensure that the user accesses an application in trustable space. This authentication method uses an Access Point's information. The second authentication is trustable space authentication to confirm the normal user. This method is carried out the authentication by using biometric information from the user.

  • A virtual locator is a logical locator based on the contents of a physical locator. These contents can be existing member properties in the physical locator. Using virtual locator, we can accomplish personalization which is the technology area associated most often with CRM. In this study, however, what are called virtual locators in many OLAP models would be treated as physical locators for many unique aggregation levels. By using physical locators, we can bring a successful e-business.

  • 추천 서비스는 사용자에게 적합한 서비스를 선응적으로 제공하는 기술로써, 전자상거래 환경을 중심으로 널리 이용되고 있다. 그러나, 유비쿼터스 환경에서도 가장 활발한 기술 접목이 이루어지는 홈 네트워크 환경 내에 추천 서비스가 적용된 사례는 많지 않다. 본 논문에서는 홈 네트워크 환경에서 누적된 사용자와 기기 간 상호작용 정보들을 바탕으로 사용자 위치 기반의 개인화된 서비스를 추천하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 알고리즘에서는 밀도기반 초기값 선정 기법을 적용한 군집화를 통해 필요한 데이터만을 추출함으로써 서비스 추천의 효율성 및 정확성을 높인다. 또한, 사용자 기반의 협업 필터링을 이용하여 데이터가 충분히 많지 않은 상황에서도 정확한 서비스 추천을 수행한다.
