빅데이터 분석에 기반한 대학 입시홍보 -중부권 전문대학교 사례- (Strategies for College Entrance Based on Big Data Analysis -Case Study of college in Central Region-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 빅데이터 분석에 기반한 대학입시 홍보 실천 사례를 통해 각 대학에 특화된 고유의 입시홍보 전략 마련은 물론 대학 입시홍보의 페러다임 혁신을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 대학 홍보 또는 마케팅 관련 선행문헌과 중부권 사례대학을 방문한 예비대학생의 인식, 그리고 검색엔진 데이터베이스의 자료를 빅데이터로 정의하고 분석하였다. 그 결과 대학 '입시홍보' 및 '마케팅' 관련 선행연구들은 학령기 인구감소에 대한 대응방안 마련의 일환으로 2000년대와 2010년대에 비약적으로 늘어났고, 예비대학생들은 방문 경험이 있는 사례대학에 대해 긍정적 인식전환이 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 예비대학생 방문을 촉진하는 입시홍보 전략의 필요성과 사례대학의 지역 및 학과특성에 기반한 입시홍보 전략의 선택과 집중, 우선순위를 제안하고자 한다.

대학교 신입생의 성지식과 성태도 및 성교육 만족도 (University Freshman's Sexual Knowledge, Attitudes, and Satisfaction of Sex Education)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sexual knowledge, attitude, and satisfaction of sex education in university freshman. Methods: The participants were 275 freshman students under the age of 20 years old. Data were collected in 2017 using a self-report questionnaire. Results: The average scores of participants' sexual knowledge, attitude, and satisfaction of sex education were $24.22{\pm}4.94$ out of 38 points, $90.81{\pm}15.86$ out of 168 points, and $11.05{\pm}3.08$ out of 20 points, respectively. With respect to the demographic characteristics, there were statically significant differences in sexual knowledge according to chances of relationship engagement (F=6.19, p=.002) and residence type (F=3.67, p=.013). Both sexual attitudes and satisfaction of sex education showed significant differences by major (t=3.20, p=.002; t=2.65, p=.009), types of high school (F=3.39, p=.019; F=3.53, p=.015), and interest in previous sex education during teenage years (F=2.88, p=.015; F= 6.22, p<.001). Sexual knowledge showed a statistically significant correlation with attitudes (r=.153, p=.011). Conclusion: There is insufficient sex information available for college students. It is necessary in the future to develop sex education programs that are matched to college students' needs.

간호대학 신입생의 학업 스트레스, 우울 및 신체활동의 관계 (The Relationships among Freshman Nursing Students' Academic Stress, Depression, and Physical Activity)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to understand the relationships among freshman nursing students' academic stress, depression, and physical activity. Methods: In this descriptive study, Freshman students sampled from 4 nursing colleges were surveyed using a structured questionnaire on academic stress, depression and physical activity during the period from May to June, 2015. Results: A positive correlation was observed between academic stress and depression, but no correlation was found with physical activity. Of the subjects, 24.3% had a moderate or severe level of depression. Depression and physical activity were different according to exercise. Conclusion: The results of this study show the importance of reducing academic stress and depression for freshman nursing students. Thus, it is necessary to develop and apply depression prevention education programs to reduce academic stress and depression so that freshman nursing students lead to a healthy campus life.

대학 신입생의 흡연 실태와 금연 프로그램 운영 방안 (The State of College Freshmen's Smoking and the Application of Cessation Programs)

  • Purpose: Based on the results of a survey on college freshmen's smoking this study examined the application of smoking cessation programs. Methods: The opinions of 89 smokers who were college freshmen were investigated and analyzed using a survey questionnaire. Results: Among the survey respondents, the largest percentage (47.2%) replied 'little satisfied' to the question on the with campus life. Of the participants, 57.3% considered that their health state was bad because of smoking. As to motives for smoking, 'curiosity' was most frequent. Smokers had more smoking friends than nonsmoking ones. The 82% of the smokers had experience in stopping smoking. Among smoking cessation methods, the self overcoming was most frequent(50.6%). During the survey, 28 smokers applied for the cessation program and they favored e-mails for information. E-mails were sent to them once in a week for 6 weeks and short messages were sent to their cell phone in order to encourage them to read the e-mails. Conclusions: To encourage and maintain smoking cessation, it is recommended to have a personalized or small group program. More researches are needed to execute the program and evaluate results. Colleges need to have an innovative approach on smoking prevention and cessation services.

남녀 대학 신입생의 건강습관과 영향요인 (University Students' Health Habits and Relevant Factors)

  • Purpose: This study aims to assess university freshmen's concern of and satisfaction with their health and body and to analyze this in relation to their health habits, thereby aiding university students in forming sound health habits. Method: The subjects of this study were 338 freshmen at A University, located in B City. The questionnaire had 34 questions and the collected data was analyzed with t-test, $x^2$-test, and multiple regressions. Result: The average points of the subjects' health habits were 6.01 for male and 5.65 for female, showing a median range. Concern about health (male 13.63 points, female 13.10 points) and satisfaction with their own body (male 8.26 points, female 7.71 points) showed no significant difference between males and females. Females had more concern about their body (p=.001), and males' satisfaction with health was higher than females', which was statistically significant (p=.0.41). As for factors that have an effect on health habits, male students had health concerns ($\beta$=.395), health satisfaction ($\beta$=.212), and body concerns ($\beta$=-.209), and female students had health concerns ($\beta$=.317) and health satisfaction ($\beta$=.139). Conclusion: University freshmen are likely to have diverse undesirable health habits and therefore need positive improvement in their health habits.

간호대학 신입생의 생명의료윤리 의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Consciousness of Biomedical Ethics of Freshmen Nursing Students)

  • This study sought to provide basic for the establishment of desirable sense of ethics values by analyzing the consciousness of biomedical ethics of freshmen nursing students. The subjects of the study were 420 freshmen nursing students. The period of data collection was from April 1 to 6, 2012 and collected data were analyzed on SPSS/PC 19.0 program. The results is followed; First, the mean score of the consciousness of biomedical ethics was $2.39{\pm}0.25$. While the mostly high ranked category of biomedical ethics was the right to life of newborn($2.76{\pm}0.39$), the category with the lowest score was the artificial abortion($2.13{\pm}0.39$). Second, with respect to the characteristics of participants there were statistically significant difference in total score according to age, religion, and participation in religious activity, experience of hearing for biomedical ethics, sources of information for biomedical ethics, ethical values for biomedical ethics, and in intention to attend biomedical ethics in subjects. As a result, an arbitration program that could promote either changeable or controllable ethical values must be considered with attention to the significant variables that can promote the consciousness of biomedical ethics of freshmen nursing students.

대학 신입생의 알코올 및 카페인 섭취량이 비만도, 알코올 사용장애 및 수면의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Alcohol and Caffeine Intake on Body Mass Index, Alcohol Use Disorder, and Quality of Sleep among University Freshmen)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess alcohol and caffeine intake and identify the impact of alcohol and caffeine intake on body mass index, alcohol use disorder, and quality of sleep among university students. Methods: This study design was accomplished with a cross sectional survey and conducted from May to June 2014. One hundred and twenty-four freshmen of E university in S city, Korea were selected and evaluated by self-administered questionnaires. Alcohol and caffeine intake were measured by self-reported recall. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple linear regression. Results: The average amount of alcohol intake was $175.02{\pm}219.97g$ and the proportion of freshmen who took in more than 40 g per day of alcohol was 75%. The average amount of caffeine intake was $116.79{\pm}111.14mg$. Factors influencing alcohol use disorder were dwelling type (t=2.25, p=.027) and alcohol intake (t=8.11, p<.001). And, the factor influencing quality of sleep was caffeine intake (t=3.88, p<.001). Conclusion: In order to reduce the harmful drinking of university students, preventive activities for freshmen are required and efforts on the part of the school needed.

간호대학 신입생의 음주 유형 (Subjective Perception of Drinking among New College Students of Nursing)

  • Purpose : Although quantitative research on alcohol consumption among nursing students is important, qualitative research is needed to determine the subjective views of individual students, such as their feelings and thoughts, and ensure the implementation of a targeted alcohol intervention program. Q-methodology is a systematic approach that examines the subjective perspectives of individuals, including their views, beliefs, and attitudes, enabling understanding of the types and characteristics according to the individual's subjectivity structure. This study examined the subjective perceptions of drinking among freshmen in nursing college using Q methodology. Methods : Q-sorting was conducted, collecting 38 P samples and 40 statements. The data were analyzed using the PC QUANL program. The principal component factor analysis method was used for Q-factor analysis. Results : The results identified four types of drinking perceptions among freshmen in nursing college. Type 1 was "safety and health pursuit," type 2 was "friendship pursuit," type 3 was "'norm-oriented," and type 4 was "sound manners." When looking at the subjective perceptions of drinking among freshmen in nursing college, there was a common opinion that drinking should not be forced and that it is an individual choice. However, the difference in views (positive and negative) of drinking shows the need for customized educational programs and interventions suitable for each type. Conclusion : Nursing freshmen should be prepared to play an important role in health care as an educational role and model in preventing damage from drinking and maintaining health promotion throughout their life by habituating proper drinking behavior during college life. In addition, it is necessary to develop a plan to increase positive awareness of drinking among nursing students through various strategic programs that can participate in sobriety prevention programs within the university.

융복합시대 간호대학생의 협동학습수업 몰입상태에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors influencing flow state of cooperative learning among nursing students: in convergence era)

  • 본 연구는 융복합시대의 간호대학생에게 협동학습수업 몰입상태에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 시도되었다. 자료는 2015년 4월부터 6월까지 총 6주간 간호학과 신입생 2개 학급 93명으로부터 수집되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 기술통계, Pearson's correlation coefficient를 실시하였으며 몰입상태에 영향을 미치는 요인은 다중회귀분석을 이용하였다. 연구결과, 협동학습수업 몰입상태는 전공만족도, 협동학습수업 만족도와 상관관계가 있었다. 전공만족도와 협동학습수업 만족도가 협동학습수업 몰입상태의 예측요인으로 설명력은 65.4%이었으며 협동학습 수업만족도가 몰입상태에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었다. 이는 몰입상태를 최대화시키기 위한 교수법 적용의 근거를 제시해주고 있다.

간호대학 신입생의 자기조절학습능력이 학습지속의향에 미치는 영향: 학습동기의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Impact of Self-regulated Learning Ability on Learning Persistence Intention in Freshmen in Nursing College: Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Learning Motivation)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of self-regulated learning ability of freshmen in nursing college on the learning persistence intention, and to determine if their learning motivation meditates the relationship between them. Methods: The study design was based on descriptive research. Data were collected from 146 nursing freshmen studying at a university in D city from June 5, 2017 to June 7, 2017. Results: There was a positive correlation among learning persistence intention, self-regulated learning ability (r=.57, p<.001) and learning motivation (r=.60, p<.001). Also, it was found that learning motivation was positively correlated with self-regulated learning ability (r=.79, p<.001). According to the Sobel test results, the learning motivation had a complete mediating effect (${\beta}=.39$, p<.001) between self-regulated learning ability and learning persistence intention (Z=3.63, p<.001). Conclusion: Therefore, this study suggests developing a learning motivation program to improve self-regulated learning ability and learning persistence intention of nursing students during their freshman year.
