  • This paper presents perceptual model with a stochastic multiresolution characteristic that can be applied with watermark embedding in the biorthogonal wavelet domain. The perceptual model with adaptive watermarking algorithm embeds at the texture and edge region for more strongly embedded watermark by the SSQ. The watermark embedding is based on the computation of a NVF that has local image properties. This method uses non- stationary Gaussian and stationary Generalized Gaussian models because watermark has noise properties. The particularities of embedding in the stationary GG model use shape parameter and variance of each subband regions in multiresolution. To estimate the shape parameter, we use a moment matching method. Non-stationary Gaussian model uses the local mean and variance of each subband. The experiment results of simulation were found to be excellent invisibility and robustness. Experiments of such distortion are executed by Stirmark 3.1 benchmark test.

Study on The Stiffness Locking Phenomenon and Eigen Problem in Mindlin Plate (Mindlin 판의 강성 과잉 현상과 고유치에 관한 연구)

  • In this thesis, Mindlin plate element with nine nodes and three degrees-of-freedom at each node is formulated and is employed in eigen-analysis of a rectangular plates in order to alleviate locking phenomenon of eigenvalues. Eigenvalues and their modes may be locked if conventional $C_{0}$-isoparametric element is used. In order to reduce stiffness locking phenomenon, two methods (1, the general reduced and selective integration, 2, the new element that use of modified shape function) are studied. Additionally in order to reduce the error due to mass matrix, two mass matrixes (1, Gauss-Legendre mass matrix, 2, Gauss-Lobatto mass matrix) are considered. The results of eigen-analysis for two models (the square plate with all edges simply-supported and all edges built-in), computed by two methods for stiffness matrix and by two mass matrixes are compared with theoretical solutions and conventional numerical solutions. These comparisons show that the performance of the two methods with Gauss-Lobatto mass matrix is better than that of the conventional plate element. But, by considering the spurious rigid body motions, the element which employs modified shape function with full integration and Gauss-Lobatto mass matrix can elevate the accuracy and convergence of numerical solutions.

  • This study has presented the analysis of subthreshold swings based on scaling theory for double gate MOSFET. To solve the analytical potential distribution of Poisson's equation, we use Gaussian function to charge distribution. The scaling theory has been used to analyze short channel effect such as subthreshold swing degradation. These scaling factors for gate length, oxide thickness and channel thickness has been modified with the general scaling theory to include effects of double gates. We know subthreshold swing degradation is rapidly reduced when scaling factor of gate length is half of general scaling factor, and parameters such as projected range and standard projected deviation have greatly influenced on subthreshold swings.

  • The symbol error rate equations of multi-level quadrature PRS(QPRS) system have been derived in the individual and composite environment of Gaussian/impulsive noise, cochannel CW interference, carrier offset, phase jitter and fading. And using the derived error rate equations, the probability of error has been evaluated and shown in graphs as functions of carrier to noise power ratio, carrier to interference power ratio, phase error, impulsive index, the ration of Gaussian noise to impulsive noise power component, signal to noise power ration in phase locked loop(PLL), and fading figures. The rseults show that the error rate performances are generally more more degraded by impulsive noise than by Gaussian noise. But on the contrary the erors occurred more frequently by Gaussian noise than impulsive noise in a fading environment.

  • Random process plays a major role in wireless communication system to analytically derive the probability distribution function of the various statistical distribution. In this paper, we derive the decreasing function of the exponential distribution under the given condition which is expressed as wireless channel condition. The probability distribution function of Gaussian, Laplacian, Rayleigh and Nakagami distribution are also derived. Extensive simulation results of these statistical distributions are provided to prove that random process has a significant role in the wireless communications. In addition, the Rayleigh and Rician channels show specific examples of visible distance communication and invisible distance channel environment. This paper is motivated by that we assume a block fading channel model, where the channel is constant during a transmission block and changes independently between consecutive transmission block, can achieve a better performance in high SNR regime with i.i.d channel. This algorithm for realizing these transforms can be applied to the Kronecker MIMO channel.

Hydrological Forecasting Based on Hybrid Neural Networks in a Small Watershed (중소하천유역에서 Hybrid Neural Networks에 의한 수문학적 예측)

  • In this study, Radial Basis Function(RBF) Neural Networks Model, a kind of Hybrid Neural Networks was applied to hydrological forecasting in a small watershed. RBF Neural Networks Model has four kinds of parameters in it and consists of unsupervised and supervised training patterns. And Gaussian Kernel Function(GKF) was used among many kinds of Radial Basis Functions(RBFs). K-Means clustering algorithm was applied to optimize centers and widths which ate the parameters of GKF. The parameters of RBF Neural Networks Model such as centers, widths weights and biases were determined by the training procedures of RBF Neural Networks Model. And, with these parameters the validation procedures of RBF Neural Networks Model were carried out. RBF Neural Networks Model was applied to Wi-Stream basin which is one of the IHP Representative basins in South Korea. 10 rainfall events were selected for training and validation of RBF Neural Networks Model. The results of RBF Neural Networks Model were compared with those of Elman Neural Networks(ENN) Model. ENN Model is composed of One Step Secant BackPropagation(OSSBP) and Resilient BackPropagation(RBP) algorithms. RBF Neural Networks shows better results than ENN Model. RBF Neural Networks Model spent less time for the training of model and can be easily used by the hydrologists with little background knowledge of RBF Neural Networks Model.

  • The error performance of BPSK and QPSK signals with diversity reception in mobile-satellite channel is investigated considering nonlinearity of TWT (Traveling Wave Tube) amplifier in the presence of AWGN(Additive White Gaussian Noise) on the uplink and downlink paths. It is assumed that the fading on the dounlink path forms a Rician distribution. The Rician distribution is approximated by discrete probability values. The values are firstly found by Classical Moment Technique.

  • 본 연구에서는 비대칭 이중게이트(double gate; DG) MOSFET의 채널길이에 대한 문턱전압이하 스윙의 변화에 대하여 분석하였다. 문턱전압이하 스윙은 트랜지스터의 디지털특성을 결정하는 중요한 요소로서 채널길이가 감소하면 특성이 저하되는 문제가 나타나고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 개발된 DGMOSFET의 문턱전압이하 스윙의 채널길이에 대한 변화를 채널두께, 산화막두께, 상하단 게이트 전압 및 도핑농도 등에 따라 조사하고자 한다. 특히 하단 게이트 구조를 상단과 달리 제작할 수 있는 비대칭 DGMOSFET에 대하여 문턱전압이하 스윙을 분석함으로써 하단 게이트 전압 및 하단 산화막 두께 등에 대하여 자세히 관찰하였다. 문턱전압이하 스윙의 해석학적 모델을 구하기 위하여 포아송방정식에서 해석학적 전위분포모델을 유도하였으며 도핑분포함수는 가우스분포함수를 사용하였다. 결과적으로 문턱전압이하 스윙은 상하단 게이트 전압 및 채널도핑농도 그리고 채널의 크기에 매우 민감하게 변화하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 3차원 모델링을 이용하여 원공을 갖는 알루미늄 판의 패치 보강효과에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 구조물의 노후화로 인해 높은 응력을 받는 부재의 응력 특이점에서 내구력이 급격하게 저하되거나 때로는 부재의 정적파괴를 유발시키는 원인을 제공한다. 이로 인해 과거에는 손상된 모재에 보강 재료를 연결시키기 위하여 리벳 또는 볼트와 같은 기계적 연결을 통해 보강하였으나 최근에는 접착패치보강 기법이 그 주류를 이루고 있다. 패치 보강시 일면 패치 보강으로 인하여 면외 휨 효과가 발생된다. 판의 두께 방향에 따른 응력집중계수를 별도로 분석하였다. 기존의 3차원 솔리드 요소는 해의 정확성은 뛰어난 반면에 상당한 컴퓨터 시간을 요구하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해서, 본 논문에서는 각 층의 변위장을 2차원 형상함수와 1차원 형상함수의 조합으로 구성하여, 면내거동에 대한 p-세분화와 면외거동에 대한 p-세분화를 분리시키는 방식을 취한다. 또한, 에너지 함수의 적분시 Gauss-Lobatto 적분법을 사용하여 절점의 위치에서의 응력점을 구하는 경우, 외삽과정을 계산하는 단계를 생략하면서도, 해의 정확성 측면에서는 거의 차이가 없기 때문에 좀 더 효율적인 수치적분이 될 수 있다.

Analysis on Forward/Backward Current Distribution and Off-current for Doping Concentration of Double Gate MOSFET (DGMOSFET의 도핑분포에 따른 상 · 하단 전류분포 및 차단전류 분석)

  • This paper has analyzed the change of forward and backward current for channel doping concentration to analyze off-current of double gate(DG) MOSFET. The Gaussian function as channel doping distribution has been used to compare with experimental ones, and the two dimensional analytical potential distribution model derived from Poisson's equation has been used to analyze the off-current. The off-current has been analyzed for the change of projected range and standard projected range of Gaussian function with device parameters such as channel length, channel thickness, gate oxide thickness and channel doping concentration. As a result, this research shows the off-current has greatly influenced on forward and backward current for device parameters, especially for the shape of Gaussian function for channel doping concentration.
