The data were collected from 175 caregivers at one rehabilitation centers in B City from July 2 to 31, 2018 and analyzed SPSS Win 21.0. Factors influencing caring burden were time for caregiving(F=6.70, p<.001), activities of daily living(F=4.70, p<.001), patient disease(F=4.61, p<.001), relationship with patients(F=3.68, p<.013), Health Status(F=3.08, p=.018), Marital status(t=-2.12, p<.036), Period after diagnosis(F=2.92, p=.036). The caring burden had not an influence on resilience and social support. a positive correlation was found between resilience and socail support(r=.487, p<.001). Therefore, it is essential to develop burden intervention programs that can reduce the burden in middle-aged caregivers caring for chronic disease and taking all the factors affecting burden into consideration.

This study had been conducted from April 1, 2018 to August 30, 2018 and the data was analyzed by x2-test, t-test, ANOVA. As a result, work obstacles were korea and japan, there were no statistically significant differences between two groups. In the safety culture perceptions, employees of elderly welfare facility in Korea showed significantly higher level of safety culture perception than employees of that in Japan. furthermore, it is revealed in both countries that the less work obstacles they have, the higher safety culture perceptions they get. And it is a work obstacles that affects safety culture perceptions. Lastly, it is expected that the result of this study can be used as basic data for the improvement of working environment and for the strategy development in human resource management to enhance the safety culture perceptions and to reduce work obstacles.

  • This study was a descriptive correlation investigation that assessed the caring burden of caregivers who care for dementia and examined the effects of the burden on the somatic symptoms and health perception. The subjects were 174 caregivers and data collection was conducted from April 1 to 30, 2018. The data were analyzed t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. A Scheffe test was used for post-analysis. The caring burden and somatic symptoms were found to be mid-high and moderate, respectively. The health was perceived to be not good, and the subjective awareness of well-being appeared to be low. The caring burden showed a positive correlation with the somatic symptoms(r=.157, p<.05), and the somatic symptoms showed a positive correlation with the perceived health(r=.220, p<.01). As a result of the study, caregiving burden of caregivers showed the factors influencing their physical and mental health status, it is suggested to carry out research to find out whether there is a difference in burden of care according to the working place of caregiver. In addition, it is necessary to develop a tool to measure the burden of caregivers and to carry out repeated research.

This was a descriptive study. The survey participants were 355 students in M city and I city. The data were collected from May 29 to June 16, 2017 and self-report questionnaires, including the Professional Self-concept Scale, Interpersonal Relationship Scale, Coping Scale, and Clinical Practice Satisfaction Scale. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent-samples t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression. Professional self-concept showed significant differences according to religion, income, and school records. Interpersonal relationships showed significant differences according to gender, income, and school records. Coping showed significant differences according to the school records. Professional self-concept had a statistically positive correlation with interpersonal relationship, clinical practice satisfaction, and approach coping. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that the predictor of professional self-concept was interpersonal relationships, approach coping, religion, school records, and avoidant coping, which accounted for 45.2% of the variance. These results highlight the need for enhancement programs of nursing college students' professional self-concept that consider their interpersonal relationships, coping, religion, and school records.

  • This study was undertaken to identify knowledge, attitude, perception and nursing practice toward use of physical restraints, among nurses in long-term care hospitals. We further explored the impact of factors associated with nursing practice toward use of physical restraints. This was a cross-sectional descriptive study in which self-administered questionnaires were collected from 128 nurses working at 11 long-term care hospitals. Descriptive statistics, including t-test, one-way ANOVA, Welch's test, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression, were applied to analyze the data collected. Our results reveal that the participants possess moderate levels of knowledge, attitude, perception and nursing practice toward use of physical restraints. Significant positive correlations were observed between nursing practice and knowledge. Multiple regression analysis showed that the factors significantly related to nursing practice and use of physical restraint were knowledge (${\beta}=0.27$, p=0.002) and attitude (${\beta}=-0.17$, p=0.044), having a total explained variance of 9.0%. The findings from this study suggest that knowledge is the strongest predictor on nursing practice toward use of physical restraints. Thus, we propose that developing and applying evidence-based educational intervention programs to reduce the use of physical restraints in long-term care hospitals are required.

  • This study examined the emotional intelligence and social support in relation to resilience in order to identify the factors influencing resilience in student nurses. The participants were 228 student nurses from two colleges in B City. The data were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, Scheffe test and multiple regression analysis by SPSS ver. 21.0. The mean score for emotional intelligence, social support, and resilience level was 5.36 out of 7 points, 4.13 out of 5 point, and 2.68 out of 4 points, respectively. Resilience was positively correlated with emotional intelligence (r=.665, p<.001) and social support (r=.495, p<.001). The results of this research suggest that social support is an important variable affecting resilience in student nurses. The factors affecting resilience were social support (${\beta}=.464$, p<.001), emotional intelligence (${\beta}=.169$, p=.004), and aptitude (${\beta}=.162$, p=.006). Resilience explained 50.4% of the variance in social support, emotional support, and aptitude. To increase the resilience of student nurses, managers need to develop resilience programs and training for managing social support, emotional intelligence, and aptitude.

An analysis of the relationship between perceptions of mental health welfare centers and mental health literacy scores showed a positive relationship between participant prior knowledge about mental health welfare centers and investment in mental health management (p=.012), suggesting a need for further development of educational programs using mental health nurses to improve mental health literacy among community officials.
