  • We study the structure of rings whose principal right ideals contain a sort of two-sided ideals, introducing right ${\pi}$-duo as a generalization of (weakly) right duo rings. Abelian ${\pi}$-regular rings are ${\pi}$-duo, which is compared with the fact that Abelian regular rings are duo. For a right ${\pi}$-duo ring R, it is shown that every prime ideal of R is maximal if and only if R is a (strongly) ${\pi}$-regular ring with $J(R)=N_*(R)$. This result may be helpful to develop several well-known results related to pm rings (i.e., rings whose prime ideals are maximal). We also extend the right ${\pi}$-duo property to several kinds of ring which have roles in ring theory.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity. The structure theorem says that R is a PIR (resp., UFR, general ZPI-ring, π-ring) if and only if R is a finite direct product of PIDs (resp., UFDs, Dedekind domains, π-domains) and special primary rings. All of these four types of integral domains are Krull domains, so motivated by the structure theorem, we study the prime factorization of ideals in a ring that is a finite direct product of Krull domains and special primary rings. Such a ring will be called a general Krull ring. It is known that Krull domains can be characterized by the star operations v or t as follows: An integral domain R is a Krull domain if and only if every nonzero proper principal ideal of R can be written as a finite v- or t-product of prime ideals. However, this is not true for general Krull rings. In this paper, we introduce a new star operation u on R, so that R is a general Krull ring if and only if every proper principal ideal of R can be written as a finite u-product of prime ideals. We also study several ring-theoretic properties of general Krull rings including Kaplansky-type theorem, Mori-Nagata theorem, Nagata rings, and Noetherian property.

  • This note we give a construction of a quotient ring $R/{\mu}$ induced via a fuzzy ideal ${\mu}$ in a ring R. The Fuzzy First, Second and Third Isomorphism Theorems are established. For some applications of this construction of quotient rings, we show that if ${\mu}$ is a fuzzy ideal of a commutative ring R, then $\mu$ is prime (resp. $R/{\mu}$ is a field, every zero divisor in $R/{\mu}$ is nilpotent). Moreover we give a simpler characterization of fuzzy maximal ideal of a ring.

  • This paper considers some functional identities related to derivations of a ring R and their action on the centre of R/P where P is a prime ideal of R. It generalizes some previous results that are in the same spirit. Finally, examples proving that our restrictions cannot be relaxed are given.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of pseudo 2-prime ideals in commutative rings. Let R be a commutative ring with a nonzero identity. A proper ideal P of R is said to be a pseudo 2-prime ideal if whenever xy ∈ P for some x, y ∈ R, then x2n ∈ Pn or y2n ∈ Pn for some n ∈ ℕ. Various examples and properties of pseudo 2-prime ideals are given. We also characterize pseudo 2-prime ideals of PID's and von Neumann regular rings. Finally, we use pseudo 2-prime ideals to characterize almost valuation domains (AV-domains).

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity. A proper ideal I of R is called 1-absorbing primary ([4]) if for all nonunit a, b, c ∈ R such that abc ∈ I, then either ab ∈ I or c ∈ ${\sqrt{1}}$. The concept of 1-absorbing primary ideals in a polynomial ring, in a PID and in idealization of a module is studied. Moreover, we introduce weakly 1-absorbing primary ideals which are generalization of weakly prime ideals and 1-absorbing primary ideals. A proper ideal I of R is called weakly 1-absorbing primary if for all nonunit a, b, c ∈ R such that 0 ≠ abc ∈ I, then either ab ∈ I or c ∈ ${\sqrt{1}}$. Some properties of weakly 1-absorbing primary ideals are investigated. For instance, weakly 1-absorbing primary ideals in decomposable rings are characterized. Among other things, it is proved that if I is a weakly 1-absorbing primary ideal of a ring R and 0 ≠ I1I2I3 ⊆ I for some ideals I1, I2, I3 of R such that I is free triple-zero with respect to I1I2I3, then I1I2 ⊆ I or I3 ⊆ I.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity and m, n be positive integers. In this paper, we introduce the class of weakly (m, n)-prime ideals generalizing (m, n)-prime and weakly (m, n)-closed ideals. A proper ideal I of R is called weakly (m, n)-prime if for a, b ∈ R, 0 ≠ amb ∈ I implies either an ∈ I or b ∈ I. We justify several properties and characterizations of weakly (m, n)-prime ideals with many supporting examples. Furthermore, we investigate weakly (m, n)-prime ideals under various contexts of constructions such as direct products, localizations and homomorphic images. Finally, we discuss the behaviour of this class of ideals in idealization and amalgamated rings.

  • In this paper, we study the basic theory of the category of graded w-Noetherian modules over a graded ring R. Some elementary concepts, such as w-envelope of graded modules, graded w-Noetherian rings and so on, are introduced. It is shown that: (1) A graded domain R is graded w-Noetherian if and only if Rg𝔪 is a graded Noetherian ring for any gr-maximal w-ideal m of R, and there are only finite numbers of gr-maximal w-ideals including a for any nonzero homogeneous element a. (2) Let R be a strongly graded ring. Then R is a graded w-Noetherian ring if and only if Re is a w-Noetherian ring. (3) Let R be a graded w-Noetherian domain and let a ∈ R be a homogeneous element. Suppose 𝖕 is a minimal graded prime ideal of (a). Then the graded height of the graded prime ideal 𝖕 is at most 1.

  • In this paper we introduce the notion of P-strongly regular near-ring. We have shown that a zero-symmetric near-ring N is P-strongly regular if and only if N is P-regular and P is a completely semiprime ideal. We have also shown that in a P-strongly regular near-ring N, the following holds: (i) $Na$ + P is an ideal of N for any $a{\in}N$. (ii) Every P-prime ideal of N containing P is maximal. (iii) Every ideal I of N fulfills I + P = $I^2$ + P.
