  • In this paper, a skew polynomial ring $R[x;\alpha]$ of a ring R with a monomorphism $\alpha$ are investigated as follows: For a reduced ring R, assume that $\alpha(P){\subseteq}P$ for any minimal prime ideal P in R. Then (i) $R[x;\alpha]$ is a reduced ring, (ii) a ring R is Baer(resp. quasi-Baer, p.q.-Baer, a p.p.-ring) if and only if the skew polynomial ring $R[x;\alpha]$ is Baer(resp. quasi-Baer, p.q.-Baer, a p.p.-ring).

  • We investigate the asymptotic behavior of positive solutions to the elliptic equation (0.1) ${\Delta}u+|x|^{l_1}u^p+|x|^{l_2}u^q=0$ in $\mathbb{R}^n$. We obtain a conclusion that, for n $\geq$ 3, -2 < $l_2$ < $l_1$ $\leq$ 0 and q > p > 1, any positive radial solution to (0.1) has the following properties: $lim_{r{\rightarrow}{\infty}}r^{\frac{2+l_1}{p-1}}\;u$ and $lim_{r{\rightarrow}0}r^{\frac{2+l_2}{q-1}}\;u$ always exist if $\frac{n+1_1}{n-2}$ < p < q, $p\;{\neq}\;\frac{n+2+2l_1}{n-2}$, $q\;{\neq}\;\frac{n+2+2l_2}{n-2}$. In addition, we prove that the singular positive solution of (0.1) is unique under some conditions.

  • For c > -1, let ${\nu}_c$ denote a weighted radial measure on ${\mathbb{C}}$ normalized so that ${\nu}_c(D)=1$. For $c_1,c_2>-1$ and $f{\in}L^1(D^2,\;{\nu}_{c_1}{\times}{\nu}_{c_2})$, we define the weighted Berezin transform $B_{c_1,c_2}f$ on $D^2$ by $$(B_{c_1,c_2})f(z,w)={\displaystyle{\smashmargin2{\int\nolimits_D}{\int\nolimits_D}}}f({\varphi}_z(x),\;{\varphi}_w(y))\;d{\nu}_{c_1}(x)d{\upsilon}_{c_2}(y)$$. This paper is about the space $M^p_{c_1,c_2}$ of function $f{\in}L^p(D^2,\;{\nu}_{c_1}{\times}{\nu}_{c_2})$ ) satisfying $B_{c_1,c_2}f=f$ for $1{\leq}p<{\infty}$. We find the identity operator on $M^p_{c_1,c_2}$ by using invariant Laplacians and we characterize some special type of functions in $M^p_{c_1,c_2}$.

  • This study is a descriptive survey to explore the health lifestyle of adults. The study subjects are teachers of elementary. middle and high school. and staffs of research institutes located in Chungchung Province and Daejon city. The data was collected from Jan. to march 1997 through self reporte for structured questionnaire. Fantastic check list of Wilson and Ciliska for Health Lifestyle Assessment and DSM-III-R for somatic symptom were used as tools. Data was analysed by frequency, $X^2_test$, t-test and Anova using SAS program. The results are as follows: 1. There were statistically significant differences In drinking(t=7.75, P=.000), exercise(t=-2.99, P=.003)and interpersonal relationship(t=2.22, P=.027) among 10 health lifestyle between smoking group and non-smoking group, in drinking(t=17.98, P=.000), exercise(-4.71. P=.000), and job satisfaction(t=2.22, P=.027) between drinking group and non-drinking group, and in eating habit(t=-2.00, P=.045), drinking (t=4.47, P=000), exercise (t= -16.49, P=000), keeping traffic law(t= -2.68, P=.007), personality (t= -2.05, P=.040) and anxiety/depression(t=-3.47, P=.000) between exercise group and non-exercise group. 2. There was statistically significant difference in cardiovascular symptom(F=4.22, P=.0l) among somatic symptoms of subjects according to exercise level. 3. There was statistically significance difference in lifestyle according to smoking level(F=, 3.33, P=.011), drinking level(F=9.17, P=.0001) and exercise level(F=11.93, P=.000l), and in somatic symptom according to sex(t=-3.93, P=.0001), weight(F=3.83, P=.022), exercise level (F=3.29, P=.03) among general characteristics. 4. There was statistically significant difference between sex in general (t= -3.64, P=.0001), gastrointestinal(t=-2.21, P=.02), musculoskeletal(t=-3.92, P=.001), and total symptom (t= -3.92, P=.0001). 5. There was statistically very highly signigicant difference In weight according to smoking($x^2=25.18,\; P=.001)$ and exercise$(x^2=16.46,\; P=001)$. 6. There was statistically significant difference in frequency between smoking group, drinking group and exercise group$(x^2=24.52,\;P=.001)$. Among a number of habit, smoking, drinking and exercise are important factors of human health to prevent related disease morbidity and death. It is essential for industrial health nurse to committ in this subject considering the influence of those factors and lifestyle on health. There is also a relationship of weight with smoking and exercise, the frequency of overweight/obesiy in smoking/ no-exercise group were high. It is quite necessary for the people having cardiovascular symptom to exercise to lower morbidity and mortality. The industrial health nurse has to keep In mind on this point and consider of time and facilities of fitness of employee. It needs to explore the cause by further research on somatic symptom of women. This research shows that concerning the relationship between smoking, drinking, and exercise, health care provider must take not only management of disease, but health behaviors and lifestyle into consideration.

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate changes of quantitative and semi-quantitative myocardial perfusion indices and image quality by image reconstruction methods in $^{13}N$-ammonia ($^{13}N-NH_3$) myocardial perfusion PET/CT. Materials and Methods: Data of 14 (8 men, 6 women) patients underwent rest and adenosine stress $^{13}N-NH_3$ PET/CT (Biograph TruePoint 40 with TrueV, Siemens) were collected. Listmode scans were acquired for 10 minutes by injecting 370MBq of $^{13}N-NH_3$. Dynamic and static reconstruction was performed by use of FBP, iterative2D (2D), iterative3D (3D) and iterative TrueX (TrueX) algorithm. Coronary flow reserve (CFR) of dynamic reconstruction data, extent(%) and total perfusion deficit (TPD) (%) measured in sum of 4-10 minutes scan were evaluated by comparing with 2D method which was recommended by vendor. The image quality of each reconstructed data was compared and evaluated by five nuclear medicine physicians through a blind test. Results: CFR were lower in TrueX 18.68% (P=0.0002), FBP 4.35% (P=0.1243) and higher in 3D 7.91% (P<0.0001). As semi-quantitative values, extent and TPD of stress were higher in 3D 3.07%p (P=0.001), 2.36%p (P=0.0002), FBP 1.93%p (P=0.4275), 1.57%p (P=0.4595), TrueX 5.43%p (P=0.0003), 3.93%p (P<0.0001). Extent and TPD of rest were lower in FBP 0.86%p (P=0.1953), 0.57%p (P=0.2053) and higher in 3D 3.21%p (P=0.0006), 2.57%p (P=0.0001) and TrueX 5.36%p (P<0.0001), 4.36%p (P<0.0001). Based on the results of the blind test for image resolution and noise from the snapshot, 3D obtained the highest score, followed by 2D, TrueX and FBP. Conclusion: We found that quantitative and semi-quantitative myocardial perfusion values could be under- or over-estimated according to the reconstruction algorithm in $^{13}N-NH_3$ PET/CT. Therefore, proper dynamic and static reconstruction method should be established to provide accurate myocardial perfusion value.

  • Minimal s-Urysohn and minimal s-regular spaces are studied. An s-Urysohn (respectively, s-regular) space (X, $\mathfrak{T}$) is said to be minimal s-Urysohn (respectively, minimal s-regular) if for no topology $\mathfrak{T}^{\prime}$ on X which is strictly weaker than $\mathfrak{T}$, (X, $\mathfrak{T}^{\prime}$) is s-Urysohn (respectively s-regular). Several characterizations and other related properties of these classes of spaces have been obtained. The present paper is a study of minimal P-spaces where P refers to the property of being an s-Urysohn space or an s-regular space. A P-space (X, $\mathfrak{T}$) is said to be minimal P if for no topology $\mathfrak{T}^{\prime}$ on X such that $\mathfrak{T}^{\prime}$ is strictly weaker than $\mathfrak{T}$, (X, $\mathfrak{T}^{\prime}$) has the property P. A space X is said to be s-Urysohn [2] if for any two distinct points x and y of X there exist semi-open set U and V containing x and y respectively such that $clU{\bigcap}clV={\phi}$, where clU denotes the closure of U. A space X is said to be s-regular [6] if for any point x and a closed set F not containing x there exist disjoint semi-open sets U and V such that $x{\in}U$ and $F{\subseteq}V$. Throughout the paper the spaces are assumed to be Hausdorff.

  • This paper introduces and studies a generalization of the classical Struve function of order p given by $$_aS_{p,c}(x):=\sum\limits_{k=0}^{\infty}\frac{(-c)^k}{{\Gamma}(ak+p+\frac{3}{2}){\Gamma}(k+\frac{3}{2})}(\frac{x}{2})^{2k+p+1}$$. Representation formulae are derived for $_aS_{p,c}$. Further the function $_aS_{p,c}$ is shown to be a solution of an (a + 1)-order differential equation. Monotonicity and log-convexity properties for the generalized Struve function $_aS_{p,c}$ are investigated, particulary for the case c = -1. As a consequence, $Tur{\acute{a}}n$-type inequalities are established. For a = 2 and c = -1, dominant and subordinant functions are obtained for the Struve function $_2S_{p,-1}$.

  • In this paper, we prove the existence of at least three nontrivial solutions to nonlinear discrete boundary value problems $$\{^{-{\Delta}_{p,{\omega}}u(x)+V(x){\mid}u(x){\mid}^{q-2}u(x)=f(x,u(x)),x{\in}S,}_{u(x)=0,\;x{\in}{\partial}S}$$, involving the discrete p-Laplacian on simple, nite and connected graphs $\bar{S}(S{\cup}{\partial}S,E)$ with weight ${\omega}$, where 1 < q < p < ${\infty}$. The approach is based on a suitable combine of variational and truncations methods.

  • Let V={(x,y,z):f=z$^{n}$ -npz+(n-1)q=0 for n .geq. 3} be a compled analytic subvariety of a polydisc in $C^{3}$ where p=p(x,y) and q=q(x,y) are holomorphic near (x,y)=(0,0) and f is an irreducible Weierstrass polynomial in z of multiplicity n. Suppose that V has an isolated singular point at the origin. Recall that the z-discriminant of f is D(f)=c(p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$) for some number c. Suppose that D(f) is square-free. then we prove that by Theorem 2.1 .mu.(p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$)=.mu.(f)-(n-1)+n(n-2)I(p,q)+1 where .mu.(f), .mu. p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$are the corresponding Milnor numbers of f, p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$, respectively and I(p,q) is the intersection number of p and q at the origin. By one of applications suppose that W$_{t}$ ={(x,y,z):g$_{t}$ =z$^{n}$ -np$_{t}$ $^{n-1}$z+(n-1)q$_{t}$ $^{n-1}$=0} is a smooth family of complex analytic varieties near t=0 each of which has an isolated singularity at the origin, satisfying that the z-discriminant of g$_{t}$ , that is, D(g$_{t}$ ) is square-free. If .mu.(g$_{t}$ ) are constant near t=0, then we prove that the family of plane curves, D(g$_{t}$ ) are equisingular and also D(f$_{t}$ ) are equisingular near t=0 where f$_{t}$ =z$^{n}$ -np$_{t}$ z+(n-1)q$_{t}$ =0.}$ =0.

  • An attempting to produce a p-type diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) using $Ti_{1-x}Co_xO_{2-\delta}-based$ thin films was made by suitable control of the deposition parameters including deposition temperature, deposition pressure, and doping level using a pulsed laser deposition method. T$Ti_{0.97}Co_{0.03}O_{2-\delta}-based$ (TCO) films deposited at $500^{\circ}C$ at a pressure of $5\times10^{-6}$ Torr showed an anomalous Hall effect with p-type characteristics. On the other hand, films deposited at $700^{\circ}C$ at $5\times10^{-6}$ Torr showed n-type behaviors by a decreased solubility of cobalt. The charge carrier concentration in the p-type TCO films was approximately $7.9\times10^{22}/cm^3$ at 300 K and the anomalous Hall effect in the p-type TCO films was controlled by a side-jump scattering mechanism. The magnetoresistance (MR), measured at 5 K in p-type TCO films showed a positive behavior in an applied magnetic field and the MR ratio was approximately 3.5 %. The successful preparation of p-type DMS using the TCO films has the potential for use in magnetic tunneling junction devices.
