  • The notion of $k^{th}$-order essentially slant weighted Toeplitz operator on the weighted Lebesgue space $L^2({\beta})$ is introduced and its algebraic properties are investigated. In addition, the compression of $k^{th}$-order essentially slant weighted Toeplitz operators on the weighted Hardy space $H^2({\beta})$ is also studied.

  • Recently, a stability theorem for the Feynman integral as a bounded linear operator on$ L_2$($R^{d}$ /) with respect to measures whose positive and negative variations are in the generalized Kato class was proved. We study a stability theorem for the Feynman integral with respect to measures whose positive variations are in the class of $\sigma$-finite smooth measures and negative variations are in the generalized Kato class. This extends the recent result in the sense that the class of $\sigma$-finite smooth measures properly contains the generalized Kato class.

  • Consider an unknown regression function f of the response Y on a d-dimensional measurement variable X. It is assumed that f belongs to a tensor Sobolev space. Let T denote a differential operator. Let $\hat{T}_n$ denote an estimator of T(f) based on a random sample of size n from the distribution of (X, Y), and let $\Vert \hat{T}_n - T(f) \Vert_2$ be the usual $L_2$ norm of the restriction of $\hat{T}_n - T(f)$ to a subset of $R^d$. Under appropriate regularity conditions, the optimal rate of convergence for $\Vert \hat{T}_n - T(f) \Vert_2$ is discussed.

  • The operator $A \; {\in} \; L(H_{i})$, the Banach algebra of bounded linear operators on the complex infinite dimensional Hilbert space $\cal H_{i}$, is said to be p-hyponormal if $(A^\ast A)^P \geq (AA^\ast)^p$ for $p\; \in \; (0,1]$. Let (equation omitted) denote the completion of (equation omitted) with respect to some crossnorm. Let $I_{i}$ be the identity operator on $H_{i}$. Letting (equation omitted), where each $A_{i}$ is p-hyponormal, it is proved that the commuting n-tuple T = ($T_1$,..., $T_{n}$) satisfies Bishop's condition ($\beta$) and that if T is Weyl then there exists a non-singular commuting n-tuple S such that T = S + F for some n-tuple F of compact operators.

  • Let $\mathbf{c}=\{c_n\}_{n{\in}\mathbb{Z}}\in{\ell}^1(\mathbb{Z})$ and $\{f_n\}_{n{\in}\mathbb{Z}}$ be a frame (Riesz basis, respectively) of $L^2(\mathbb{R})$. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions of $\mathbf{c}$ under which $\{\mathbf{c}{\ast}_{\lambda}f_n\}_{n{\in}\mathbb{Z}}$ becomes a frame (Riesz basis, respectively) of $L^2(\mathbb{R})$, where ${\lambda}$ > 0 and $(\mathbf{c}{\ast}_{\lambda}f)(t)\;:=\;{\sum}_{n{\in}\mathbb{Z}}c_nf(t-n{\lambda})$. When $\{\mathbf{c}{\ast}_{\lambda}f_n\}_{n{\in}\mathbb{Z}}$ becomes a frame of $L^2(\mathbb{R})$, we present its frame operator and the canonical dual frame in a simple form. Some interesting examples are included.

  • let E be a Finsler modules over $C^*$-algebras. A with norm-map $\rho$ and L(E) set of all A-linear bonded operators on E. We show that the canonical homomorphism ${\phi}:L(E){\rightarrow}L(E_I)$ sending each operator T to its restriction $T|E_I$ is injective if and only if I is an essential ideal in the underlying $C^*$-algebra A. We also show that $T{\in}L(E)$ is a bounded below if and only if ${\mid}{\mid}x{\mid}{\mid}={\mid}{\mid}{\rho}{\prime}(x){\mid}{\mid}$ is complete, where ${\rho}{\prime}(x)={\rho}(Tx)$ for all $x{\in}E$. Also, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the equivalence of the norms generated by the norm map.

  • Consider a symmetric bilinear form defined on $\prod\times\prod$ by $_{\lambda\mu}$ = $<\sigma,fg>\;+\;\lambdaL[f](a)L[g](a)\;+\;\muM[f](b)m[g](b)$ ,where $\sigma$ is a quasi-definite moment functional, L and M are linear operators on $\prod$, the space of all real polynomials and a,b,$\lambda$ , and $\mu$ are real constants. We find a necessary and sufficient condition for the above bilinear form to be quasi-definite and study various properties of corresponding orthogonal polynomials. This unifies many previous works which treated cases when both L and M are differential or difference operators. finally, infinite order operator equations having such orthogonal polynomials as eigenfunctions are given when $\mu$=0.

  • Visualization has a strong capability to manage and display a large volume of data. It makes system analysis more intuitive and helps an operator in monitoring system status, understanding its phenomena, identifying its problems, and performing corrective action to maintain the security of the system. In this paper visualization program is developed based on a COTS-based software development concept in a distributed environment using open-source application software and development tools.

  • Suppose X is a subspace of $(\sum_{n=1} ^{\infty} X_n)_{c_0}$, dim $X_n<{\infty}$, which has the metric compact approximation property. It is proved that if Y is a Banach space of cotype q for some $2{\leq}1<{\infty}$ then K(X,Y) is an M-ideal in L(X,Y).

  • We investigate the existence of solutions u(x, t) for perturbations of the elliptic system with Dirichlet boundary condition $$\array {L{\xi}+{\mu}g({\xi}+2{\eta})=f\;in\;{\Omega}}\\{L{\eta}+{\nu}g({\xi}+2{\eta})=f\;in\;{\Omega}}$$ (0.1) where $g(u)=Bu^+-Au^-$, $u^+=max\{u,\;0\}$, $u^-=max\{-u,\;0\}$, ${\mu}$, ${\nu}$ are nonzero constants and the nonlinearity $({\mu}+2{\nu})g(u)$ crosses the eigenvalues of the elliptic operator L.
