ON THE EXISTENCE OF POSITIVE SOLUTION FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR ELLIPTIC SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE PARAMETERS AND SINGULAR WEIGHTS

  • This study concerns the existence of positive solution for the following nonlinear system $$\{-div(|x|^{-ap}|{\nabla}u|^{p-2}{\nabla}u)=|x|^{-(a+1)p+c_1}({\alpha}_1f(v)+{\beta}_1h(u)),x{\in}{\Omega},\\-div(|x|^{-bq}|{\nabla}v|q^{-2}{\nabla}v)=|x|^{-(b+1)q+c_2}({\alpha}_2g(u)+{\beta}_2k(v)),x{\in}{\Omega},\\u=v=0,x{\in}{\partial}{\Omega}$$, where ${\Omega}$ is a bounded smooth domain of $\mathbb{R}^N$ with $0{\in}{\Omega}$, 1 < $p,q$ < N, $0{{\leq}}a<\frac{N-p}{p}$, $0{{\leq}}b<\frac{N-q}{q}$ and $c_1$, $c_2$, ${\alpha}_1$, ${\alpha}_2$, ${\beta}_1$, ${\beta}_2$ are positive parameters. Here $f,g,h,k$ : $[0,{\infty}){\rightarrow}[0,{\infty})$ are nondecresing continuous functions and $$\lim_{s{\rightarrow}{\infty}}\frac{f(Ag(s)^{\frac{1}{q-1}})}{s^{p-1}}=0$$ for every A > 0. We discuss the existence of positive solution when $f,g,h$ and $k$ satisfy certain additional conditions. We use the method of sub-super solutions to establish our results.

  • Let F and G denote the distribution functions of the failure times and the censoring variables in a random censorship model. Susarla and Van Ryzin(1978) verified consistency of $F_{\alpha}$, he NPBE of F with respect to the Dirichlet process prior D($\alpha$), in which they assumed F and G are continuous. Assuming that A, the cumulative hazard function, is distributed according to a beta process with parameters c, $\alpha$, Hjort(1990) obtained the Bayes estimator $A_{c,\alpha}$ of A under a squared error loss function. By the theory of product-integral developed by Gill and Johansen(1990), the Bayes estimator $F_{c,\alpha}$ is recovered from $A_{c,\alpha}$. Continuity assumption on F and G is removed in our proof of the consistency of $A_{c,\alpha}$ and $F_{c,\alpha}$. Our result extends Susarla and Van Ryzin(1978) since a particular transform of a beta process is a Dirichlet process and the class of beta processes forms a much larger class than the class of Dirichlet processes.

$k_0$-표준화방법에 의한 기기중성자방사화 분석법의 고찰 (The Review of Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis by $k_0$-standardization method)

  • 기기중성자방사화 분석법은 핵 분석기술의 대표적인 방법으로 비파괴-동시 다원소분석의 장점과 함께 절대측정값에 의해 정량 할 수 있다는 특징을 갖고 있다. 최근에는 정확도와 편의성을 만족할 수 있는 $k_0$-정량법을 사용한 기기중성자방사화 분석법이 세계적으로 일반화되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 $k_0$-법의 적용을 위하여 이 방법의 전체적인 개념의 소개와 함께 $k_0$-파라미터를 측정하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 $k_0$-법의 개념이해와 정량에 필요한 인자들의 정의 및 파라미터인 $Q_0$(${\alpha}$)와 f 값을 결정하기 위한 수식과 실험적 측정방법 등을 요약하였고 중성자조사공에 따라 특성 값을 갖는 ${\alpha}$와 f 값을 하나로 연구용원자로의 방사화분석용 조사공(NAA#1)에서 측정하여 $k_0$-법의 도입을 위한 기반을 마련하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 BICMOS 공정으로 제조된 바이폴라 프렌지스터의 SPICE 잡음 파라미터 추출방법을 제시하였다. 기하학적 분석요로부터 $K_f$ 값이 에미터 면적에 반비례하고 있음을 보였다. 그리고 $K=0.8\times10_{-20}, A_f=2, \alpha=1$ 값이 추출되었다.

Mechanical and Thermal Behavior of Polyamide-6/Clay Nanocomposite Using Continuum-based Micromechanical Modeling

  • The mechanical and thermal behaviors of polyamide-6/clay nanocomposites were studied using the continuum-based, micromechanical models such as Mori-Tanaka, Halpin-Tsai and shear lag. Mechanic-based model prediction provides a better understanding regarding the dependence of the nanocomposites' reinforcement efficiency on conventional filler structural parameters such as filler aspect ratio ($\alpha$), filler orientation (S), filler weight fraction (${\Psi}_f$), and filler/matrix stiffness ratio ($E_f/E_m$). For an intercalated and exfoliated nanocomposite, an effective, filler-based, micromechanical model that includes effective filler structural parameters, the number of platelets per stack (n) and the silicate inter-layer spacing ($d_{001}$), is proposed to describe the mesoscopic intercalated filler and the nanoscopic exfoliated filler. The proposed model nicely captures the experimental modulus behaviors for both intercalated and exfoliated nanocomposites. In addition, the model prediction of the heat distortion temperature is examined for nanocomposites with different filler aspect ratio. The predicted heat distortion temperature appears to be reasonable compared to the heat distortion temperature obtained by experimental tests. Based on both the experimental results and model prediction, the reinforcement efficiency and heat resistance of the polyamide-6/clay nanocomposites definitely depend on both conventional (${\alpha},\;S,\;{\Psi}_f,\;E_f/E_m$) and effective (n, $d_{001}$) filler structural parameters.

System Identification of Aerodynamic Coefficients of F-16XL (ICCAS 2004)

  • This paper presents the aerodynamic coefficient modeling with a new model structure explored by Least Squares using Modulating Function Technique (LS/MFT) for an F-16XL airplane using wind tunnel data supplied by NASA/LRC. A new model structure for aerodynamic coefficient was proposed, one that considered all possible combination terms of angle of attack ${\alpha}$(t) and ${\alpha}$(t) given number of harmonics K, and was compared with Pearson's model, which has the same number of parameters as the new model. Our new model harmonic results show better agreement with the physical data than Pearson's model. The number of harmonics in the model was extended to 6 and its parameters were estimated by LS/MFT. The model output of lift coefficient with K=6 correspond reasonably well with the physical data. In particular, the estimation performances of four aerodynamic coefficients were greatly improved at high frequency by considering all harmonics included in the input${\alpha}$(t), and by using the new model. In addition, the importance of each parameter in the model was analyzed by parameter reduction errors. Moreover, the estimation of three parameters, i.e., amplitude, phase and frequency, for a pure sinusoid and a finite sum of sinusoids- using LS/MFT is investigated.

Let ${\mathcal{A}}$ be the class of analytic functions in ${\mathbb{D}}$ such that f(0) = 0 = f'(0) - 1. For $f{\in}{\mathcal{A}}$, ${\mu}{\in}{\mathbb{C}}{\backslash}\{0\}$ and ${\nu}{\in}{\mathbb{C}}$, let $I_{{\mu},{\nu}:{\mathcal{A}}{\rightarrow}{\mathcal{A}}$ be an integral operator defined by $$I_{{\mu},{\nu}[f](z)}=\({\frac{{\mu}+{\nu}}{z^{\nu}}}{\int}^z_0f^{\mu}(t)t^{{\nu}-1}dt\)^{1/{\mu}}$$. In this paper, we find some sufficient conditions on functions to be in the class $\mathcal{P}({\alpha},{\beta})$. One of these results is applied to the integral operator $I_{{\mu},{\nu}}$ of two classes of starlike functions which are related to the class $\mathcal{P}({\alpha},{\beta})$.

  • Neutron activation analysis based on $textsc{k}$$_{o}$-standardization method# ($textsc{k}$o-NAA) is Com as one of the most remarkable progresses of the NAA with advantages of experimental simplicity, high accuracy, excellent flexibility with respect to irradiation and counting conditions, and suitability for computerization. This study was carried out to determine the reactor neutron spectrum parameters, i.e. $\alpha$ and f as the main factors of irradiation quality at NAA #1 irradiation hole on HANARO research reactor, to evaluate peak detection efficiency of the gamma-ray spectrometer for the use in the $textsc{k}$$_{o}$ experiments and to compare the measured concentration results with the certified values of some SRMs applying the experimentally determined to-parameters.ers.

정적 RAM 특성 요소에 의한 소프트 에러율의 해석 (Analysis of Accelerated Soft Error Rate for Characteristic Parameters on Static RAM)

  • This paper presents an ASER (Accelerated Soft Error Rate) integral model. The model is based on the facts that the generated EHP/s(electron hole pairs) are diminished after some residual range of the incident alpha particle, where residual range is a function of the incident angle and the capping layer thickness over the semiconductor junction. The ASER is influenced by the flux of the alpha particles, the junction area ratio, the alpha particle incident angle when the critical charge is same as the collected charge, and the sizes of the alpha source and the chip. The model was examined with 8M static RAM samples. The measured ASER data showed good agreement with the calculated values using the model. The ASER decreased exponentially with respect to the operational voltage. As the capping layer thickness increases up to $16{\mu}m$, the ASER increases, and after that thickness, the ASER decreases. The ASER increased as the depth of BNW increased from $0{\mu}m\;to\;4{\mu}m$. and then saturated. The ASER decreased as the node capacitance increased from 2fF to 5fF.
