We developed a real-time three-polarizer spectroscopic ellipsometer based on a new data acquisition algorithm and a general data reduction (the process of extracting the ellipsometric sample parameters from the Fourier coefficients). The data acquisition algorithm measures Fourier coefficients of radiant flux waveform accurately and precisely. The general data reduction is introduced to represent the analytic functions of the standard uncertainties of the ellipsometric sample parameters, and the extracted theoretical values closely agree with the corresponding experimental data. Our approach can be used for optimization of measurement conditions, instrumentation, simulation, standardization, laboratory accreditation, and metrology.

Particle characteristics diagnosis system (PCDS) was developed to measure submicron particle characteristics by modulation of particle beam mass spectrometry (PBMS) with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS). It is possible to measure the particle size distribution in real-time, and the shape, composition can be measured in sequence keeping vacuum condition. Apparatus was calibrated by measuring the size classified NaCl particle which generated at atmospheric pressure. After the calibration, particles were sampled from the exhaust line of plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) process and measured. Result confirms that PCDS is capable for analyzing particles in vacuum condition.

Cryopump(cryogenic pump), with integrating cryogenic skills into vacuum technology, is the most popular high vacuum pump system, which is widely used at the commercial vacuum industries with TMP.
