이 연구에서는 로봇 연관 STEAM 교수학습 프로그램을 조사 분석하고, 초 중등학교를 위한 로봇 STEAM 교수학습 프로그램 내용을 제안하였다. 프로그램을 분석한 결과, 예술과 인문사회 분야의 내용이 가장 많은 것으로 조사되었고, 과학, 기술, 수학의 순서로 포함되어 있었다. 학교급별 STEAM 교수학습 프로그램 내용 융통합이 유사한 패턴이 나타났다. 중학교의 프로그램은 STEAM 교육에서 추구하는 상황 제시, 창의적 설계, 감성적 체험, 평가, 진로 등의 요소들을 균등한 비율로 포함하고, 초등학교와 고등학교의 프로그램은 진로와의 연계 내용이 적게 포함되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. STEAM 교육의 지향과 활동요소를 총체적으로 고려한 로봇 STEAM 교수학습 프로그램의 학교급별 내용을 제안하였다.

This study examined the moderating effect of engineering design self-efficacy on the relationship between cognitive team diversity and team creativity. For this study, 377 mechanical engineering students in engineering design classes were included in the analysis. The results showed that both cognitive team diversity and engineering design self-efficacy were positively correlated with team creativity. The analysis of moderating effect indicated that engineering design self-efficacy further reinforced the positive relationship between cognitive team diversity and team creativity. Finally, implications and limitations of this study were explored.

Nowadays, IT that leads information era is closely connected to our lives. The importance of training human resources for global empowerment on IT is being emphasized all over the world. With the growth of international society, the cultivation of global human resources now includes the cultivation of future human resources and the educations related with the career development program. However, the programs that colleges are operating for the cultivation of global human resources have been limited only to supporting the participation in international training program, operating camp and conferences, etc. On the contrary, to give many learners chances of experiencing courses for global empowerment and employment capability, We are operating the Internet of Everything online education program with Cisco Networking Academy Korea. Based on the management cases of Internet of Everything online education program, this thesis is suggesting a career program on global empowerment that many learners can experience, different from the limitation of the existing program.

The purpose of this study is to develop the model of course evaluation design for CEA(Course-Embedded Assessment), which is focused on course level for assessment reliability. This study was conducted by the process of model development and validation according to Richey & Klein(2007)'s model development methodology. The model of this study was comprised with the three steps of learning objectives based on course outcome, assessment design and goal achievement analysis of course, which were explained by specific design principles. Also, this model was validated by two steps, which one was on the inner validation and the other was the outer validation(Richey & Klein, 2007). Considerations for designing the model of course evaluation have been suggested and a few implications were discussed.

Since ABEEK ("Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea") began its accreditation in 2001, the 595 programs in 100 institutions have been accredited, and now the number of accredited programs is continuously increasing. On the other hand, NCS ("National Competency Standards") which is directed by government, has been also introduced in recent years, and it becomes the center of attentions of many universities in Korea. Each of these 2 systems has its own strengths and weaknesses, even though their main purposes are very similar. This paper deals with the comparison between the curriculum based on NCS with ABEEK. And also, the examples of making the curriculum based on the NCS would be introduced. At the conclusion, some suggestions for the new NCS system would be proposed.

This study aims to conduct a case study of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) outreach program development and their application. This program was operated by 184 middle and high school students at C University on October 2014. The major results of these studies were as follows: First, The theme of the outreach program consisted of four engineering areas, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, architectural engineering, and mechatronics (robot) engineering; moreover, the materials for the students' workbook, the guidebook for teachers, and the program operation manual for staffs in a university were developed by working with four authors and ten subject matter experts. Second, the satisfaction level with the contents and activities was ranged from 4.24-4.31 out of 5 points. Third, the vitalizing activation plan was discussed for the sustainable development and operation of the STEAM outreach program.

Recently, Information Communication Technology(ICT) is one of the most important technology that supports the modern society. As the ICT rises, the needs of the nurturing talents, who can develop a service or hardware on the basis of the humanities increases. As a result, teaching programming skills to students studying humanities and social science are essential. Also, it is important to train students studying science and engineering to write their thoughts logically. In order to serve these students, we introduce a pedagogy for computer programming using programming essay. Since a program is a sequence of the operations based on the programmer's logical thinking, programming can be considered as describing programmer's logic in the proper order using programming syntax. In this research, we train students to describe their logic using natural language. Students write down their essays for a given programming problems. Also, we introduce a pedagogy guideline using programming essay.

Usually, students write on a paper using writing materials and submit it to teachers when they do a homework or take an exam. However, there are temporal and spacial constraints because teachers and students should be in the same place at the time in this system. In addition, it is hard for teachers to maintain numerous papers from students. Applying a digital pen produced by Pen Generations Corporation to education system, we developed a smart education system transmitting image data from written papers using digital pen. As a result, teachers and students can use this system without any constraints. In addition, teachers are able to maintain their papers from students more effectively.

The purpose of this paper is to find a method to combine engineering education and the humanities by means of the movie genre. Although the science technology has developed and our living standard has improved, humanities has a tendency to be underestimated. Humanities has been treated as something antiquated, uninteresting or worn-out because it has no economic value or usefulness in itself. Engineering students need flexible, analytic and critical thought as well as the qualities in constructing key questions and trying to solve themselves. Communicative and understanding abilities are also required to them. Movies as a constructive visual device show problems with the reality. Especially, the science-related movie genre offers them an opportunity to think over why humanities matters as well as what matters in human being. The movies make engineering students think, discuss and argue on the humanity.

A video-work story analysis system based on emotional state measurement includes a content provision unit which provides story content of a video-work, a display unit which displays content provided by the content provision unit, an emotional state measurement unit which measures a tense-relaxed emotional state of a viewer viewing the displayed story content, a story pattern analysis unit which analyzes the tense-relaxed emotional state measured from the emotional state measurement unit according to a scene in the story content provided by the content provision unit, and a story pattern display unit which prints out an analysis result or displays the analysis result as an image. The emotional state measurement unit measures a tense or relaxed emotional state through one or more analyses among a brainwave analysis, a vital sign analysis, or an ocular state analysis. A writer may obtain support in an additional scenario modification work, and an investor may obtain support in making a decision through the above description. Furthermore, the video-work story analysis system and analysis method based on emotional state measurement may extract a particular pattern with respect to a change in an emotional state of a viewer, compile statistics, and analyze a correlation between a story and an emotional state.

This paper proposes a convergence education method that combines architecture and communication through a documentary film entitled the Talking Architecture. The purpose of this program is to propose a new teaching and learning method for architecture education and investigates what would be an effective method of communication for architects. As mentioned above, this paper proposes a teaching method and a model applicable to actual classes based on the Talking Architect. It is proved that the method can be used for various types of classes and fields such as architectural expression, architectural planning and designing, housing theory, building structure, building materials, and other subject matters. In addition, this paper explores how architects communicate as described in the film. The findings show the potential of integrity, negotiating capability, and the convergent method of thinking and communication between the humanities and architecture as a positive communication model for architects. This paper opens up the possibilities for convergence education in the field of engineering education through three key words: film, architecture, and communication. And this paper is worth in that it is a useful method for developing convergence courses and team-teaching courses.

The aim of this study suggest the THAMS Clinic Camp program to train the interdisciplinary students with humanistic knowledge as well as the skills to perform the scientific and engineering works. Since the future of society is required students with the ability to elicit an emotional empathy, THAMS Clinic Camp program has been planed and performed from year 2012 based on the comprehensive liberal learning. The average employment rate over the past three years of the students who participated in THAMS Clinic Camp program showed 7% better than the overall average employment rate of Andong National University. The another visible educational outcomes of the THAMS Clinic Camp program are following; i) To take place the conversion of recognition for the interdisciplinary activity by breaking down the walls between fragmented disciplines to students and ii) To provide the opportunity that students will understand the past and refocus the current to have the idea to plan for the future in the right direction.

This is paper aims to figure out the way movies and engineering have communicated and the right direction for better communication between them. Engineering no longer should be treated as playing a key role when it comes to film making. Engineering is essential in making films look real. It means that movies gain credibility from utilizing engineering, which all other types of arts also seek after. Films can be resonated better through mutual communication with engineering. The paper takes a close look at emotional aspects to figure out what the new direction of communication between movies and engineering is. People's lives shown in films and the material world that engineering represents are mingled to attain the emotional oneness between the two. This can be easily observed in Japanese movies where robots and humans have a close relationship or recent films whose theme is emotional exchange among humans and robots. This kind of contact leads us to explore newly found humans' position that was brought about in the wake of development in engineering and existential conditions that humans need to have accordingly. Artificial intelligence and neurology sectors that the engineering field is today earnestly working on are in line with it. Therefore, this article seeks to find out the meaning and value of communication between movies and engineering when establishing the fresh mankind model based on emotions and pursuit of diversity.
