This paper analyzes the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, international market orientation, and investment performance of Korean SMEs in Vietnam on sequential investment. As a result of analyzing the research model using PLS SEM, it was found that Korean SMEs make sequential investments based on investment performance rather than entrepreneurial orientation or international market orientation. In addition, entrepreneurial orientation increased internationa market orientation and had a positive effect on investment performance, which was found to have a positive effect on sequential investment. Through this study, it was clarified that there is a difference between the determinants of initial investment and sequential investment, and it was confirmed that Korean companies show stable and strategic sequential investment tendency rather than proactive and bold investment in Vietnam. In addition, the mediating effect of international market orientation and investment performance in sequential investment was confirmed. In addition, it was confirmed that entrepreneurial orientation was a valid factor in the indirect effect of sequential investment. In the future, for high entrepreneurial orientation Korean companies entered the Vietnamese market, there will be a need for policy support to provide information on Global Value Chain in Vietnam and establish networks on the country.

This study aims at analyzing the interactions between two of the most significant trade stakeholders in Korea, the Trade Ministry and the Legislature, using text network analysis. Tackling seven Action and Plan Reports for Requests from Parliamentary Inspection released by the National Assembly, this paper conducts a topic modelling analysis, particularly focusing on the reports for the three trade-related institutes: the MOTIE headquarter, Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency. According to the analysis, such traditional topics of the MOTIE as enterprise, industry, business, management, development were frequently appeared in the reports. Trade-related topics including export, trade, commerce, investment, overseas, domestic, dispute, cooperation, efficiency, negotiation, service, promotion were repeatedly shown. Lastly, a case study on 2019 Parliamentary Inspection Report showed specific trade-related topics and relevant contents that raised issues in that year. This analysis implies that the text data driven from the Parliamentary Inspection Reports between the MOTIE and the National Assembly, can be established as so called 'trade policy information system' which are valuable not only for the two but also the rest of the trade stakeholders in Korea.

Occurrence of accidents at a container terminal results in casualties and damages of equipments which are involved in the accidents, and affects the terminal operation. Therefore, analyzing factors affecting occurrence of accidents at a container terminal is important for efficient operation of the terminal. Most of existing studies analyzing factors of accidents have performed in a land transportation field. And most of existing studies in a maritime field have focused on developing risk assessment methods, rather than identifying factors of accidents. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting the damage level which was resulted from accidents at a container terminal in Busan, Korea. After a basic statistical analysis of the accident dataset which was occurred in the terminal, a linear regression model is applied to identify the factors which affect the damage level resulted from the accident. As a result of analysis, it is found that the more number of equipments, facilities and containers damaged from the accidents positively affect the damage level from the accidents, as well as dozing during working. The results of this study are expected to be a basic for developing safety management.

This study examines factors that influence organizational identification of employees who work for foreign multinational corporations in Korea. First, we test whether employee perceptions on leader-member exchange, trust in CEO, and career growth opportunity can influence their organizational identification. second, we also investigate moderation effects of employee perception on subsidiary level factors such as co-operation between the subsidiary and its HQ, firm reputation of the subsidiary, and opportunity to work overseas. 391 survey results from 350 subsidiaries of multinational corporations in Korea has been collected for this study. We found that leader-member exchange, trust in CEO and career growth opportunity had a positive effect on organizational identification of employees who work for foreign subsidiaries of multinational corporations in Korea. We also found partial support for the moderation effects of HQ-subsidiary interrelationship and opportunity to work overseas in the relationship between predictors and organizational identification. With this in mind, I hope this help to reconsider competitiveness of global companies in Korea by increasing organizational identification.

This study investigates the effects of O2O-based mobile shopping application (O2O MSA)'s information and service quality on the user's perceived privacy protection, satisfaction and loyalty. In this study, 969 questionnaire reponses were collected, out of which 555 were used to estimate the structural paths using PLS-SEM (partial least square structural equation model) for the hypothesis test. Our empirical findings are drawn from Chinese respondents that live in a 1-line city in China and use O2O MSAs serviced by China's leading companies. This study examines and confirms that qualified information and service of O2O MSA positively affect both perceived privacy protection and customer satisfaction, which finally leads to customer behavioral loyalty through the perceived privacy protection. Further, this study presents effective practical implications for application development strategy suitable for users in the O2O-based mobile shopping industry.

It is no exaggeration to say that today's world economy is dependent on international trade, which is the result of inter-state transactions. As the vast majority of international goods transport is transported by international shipping, interest in the seaborne transport field is natural in international and trade studies. In particular, in the case of international shipping, as it is the basis of typical international transportation, changes in international shipping due to the innovation of technology may have an effect on international trade norms. In this study, as a result of evaluating port preference in a hypothetical scenario by using the Design of Experiments method, bunkering as well as port service, which is traditionally important, was identified as a major competitive factor of future ports. It has been revealed that, above all, the port to respond to the future is the continued importance of port services and the supply of ship fuel. Therefore, port authorities are providing implications that LNG bunkering infrastructure suitable for international environmental regulations is important.

This study analyzes the effect of misalignment exchange rate on economic performance asymmetrically. The results show that the over valuation of the real effective exchange rate of won has a significant positive relationship with economic performance. The under valuation of the real effective exchange rate of won has a positive effect on economic performance, but it is not significant. This is due to the high ratio of re-exports of intermediate goods despite Korea being an export-oriented country. In Japan, the undervaluation of the exchange rate has a negative impact on economic performance.

This study analyzed the research trend of the papers in the field of customs clearance published from the first issue of the Korean Trade Review to the August 2020 issue. The research method used mixed methods. This method uses both quantitative and qualitative methods, and is a research method to make use of the strengths and weaknesses of each research method. The quantitative study results are as follows. First, an average of 0.7 papers were published for the entire period, but since 2006, an average of 1.2 papers have been published, and the overall interest is increasing. Second, in the case of researchers, the proportion of joint research was slightly higher, with 43.8% of independent research and 56.2% of joint research. In particular, the ratio of 3 or more people is also increasing to 21. Third, looking at the trends by research subject, it was found that among the research fields, there were relatively more studies in the fields of FTA, country of origin, and CISG than in the fields of tariff policy, tariff system and legislation. Fourth, Domestic studies accounted for 75.2% and overseas studies 24.8%, with a high proportion of domestic studies, 13.4 articles in domestic literature, 12.2 articles overseas, and 40 articles supporting research funding. The results of qualitative research need to secure diversity in terms of the generality and specificity of the research topic, and that research in industry-academia or public-private connection should increase, and research from the point of view of "why" rather than "how" Suggested that it is necessary.

This study presented the results of meta-analysis through topic modeling among the papers published in the Journal of the International Trade Association for the purpose of presenting academic research trends in the field of trade insurance and future research directions. Among the total 2,010 papers included in the Journal of the Korea International Trade Association, the analyzed paper covers the subject of trade-related insurance. According to detailed topics, 33 marine insurance (42.31%), 16 export insurance (20.51%), 11 hull insurance (14.10%), and 18 others (23.08%), and 4 other products liability insurance. According to the empirical analysis results, Topic 1 was classified as marine insurance, airworthiness, notice obligation, and collateral, and Topic 2 was derived as a representative topic for loading insurance, emergency risk, and immunity as export insurance. And Topic 3 was classified as vessel, sinking and container in relation to ship insurance, and Topic 4 was analyzed as an important topic such as manufacture and British marine insurance. Through the analysis results, we selected the representative topic used for the trade insurance topic and looked at the status of major research. Trade insurance is an area that requires the development of more theoretical and practical research subjects as an optimal risk management means in international trade transactions. To this end, first, support from the Korea International Trade Association is needed to establish a continuous research subject sharing system for the development of research subjects in the field of trade insurance. Second, academic journal operation management must be continuously managed in which academic research papers can be submitted and published.

International trade theory is largely divided into the pure theory of international trade and the theory of trade policy. The pure theory of international trade is an academic field that conducts research related to the trade flow of goods and services between countries and the movement of production factors across borders. Meanwhile, the theory of trade policy studies the positive and normative aspects of trade policy which a government adopts to achieve its policy goals. In this study, about 230 papers in the field of international trade theory published in the Korea Trade Review over the past 45 years (1975~2019) are examined in meta analysis by period and subject. First, this study provides the main research subjects of international trade theory, and historically reviews the overall development of trade theory by paying attention to the core and pioneering papers, domestic and foreign. Second, the publications in the field of trade theory are classified by subject, and the domestic and foreign research trends are also examined for each subject with the analysis of major publication of this Journal.

Korea has studied FTA over 20 years since FTA with Chile. More than 3,000 Articles have been published in journal so far. Thus, this study aims to present the direction that should be taken by Korean FTA study by using Meta-Analysis for FTA study which has been carried on so far. Many researchers publish several articles each year, showing high quotation index and H-index. However, Korean FTA study lacks network with overseas researchers and fusion study with other sciences. 65.4% of Korean FTA study is carried on Independent research and 91.1% of them, in joint research by fewer than 2 persons. Further, the Subject of FTA study is not diverse and too uniform. Out of total studies, 24.3% of them are related to rules of origin and 15.3% of them, to China, showing that theme of study is quite partially concentrated. This is large difference with overseas FTA study. Study on rules of origin is only 1.5% in overseas. Korean FTA study needs to diversify subjects of study and to balance between academic aspect & practical aspect. When it comes to study methodology empirical analysis assumed large portion in both Korea and overseas countries. Empirical analysis assumes 18.3% in Korea and 47.3% in overseas, both of which are quite high. However, qualitative study such as FGI/AHP, in-depth interview, case analysis is quite rare in Korean FTA study. Partial concentration of countries for study subject needs to be rectified also. In Korea, countries for FTA study is China 15.3%, EU 10.0%, USA 6.3%. In overseas, China assumes only 3.7% of study subject. It is required for Korean FTA study to extend study subjects & study area by forming global study network and to extend qualitative study with microscopic study.

The field of international management has consistently been recognized as one of the key research pillars in the grand scope of trade studies. In this paper, we conducted critical review on literatures of international management, which were published in Korea Trade Review from 1975 to 2019. Especially, this paper analyzed 'when did research results in the field of international management appear in Korea Trade Review for the first time?', 'how many papers in the field of international management have been published in Korea Trade Review so far?', 'what topics have the papers in the field of international management published in Korea Trade Review mainly described?', and 'what research methods have the papers in the field of international management published in Korea Trade Review adopted?' In particular, this paper compared the similarities and differences between the research issues in leading global journals and those of international management research papers published in Korea Trade Review. In addition, some implications for future research would be suggested regarding what characteristics of international management studies will be meaningful to be published in the Korea Trade Review.
