However, the modern communication system in our country was initiated, in the later part of the Lee-Dynasty, not for the international cooperation but for the invasive avarices of the neighbouring nations such as Japan and China. The true internationaL cooprration should be based on the love of humanity and the peace of the world such as the pionreers. 본 논문은 광섬유 케이블의 설계에 있어, 케이블 공정에 따른 광손실의 증가를 최소로하는 케이블의 구조 및 광케이블의 포설에 따른 잔류 응력의 억제 등, 장기간 동안 케이블의 전송특성을 유지하며, 광섬유의 파단 방지를 목표로 고려해야할 사항을 논하였다. 광섬유의 특성을 유지하기 위해서는 광섬유 제조시 사용되는 재질 및 적정 Dimension 설정이 필요하며 광섬유 파단 방지를 위해 CABLE내에 TENSION MEMBER를 수용하는 구조를 검토, 광섬유 CABLE 포설시 광섬유의 파단 확률을 감소시키며, 광섬유의 잔류응력을 억제하는 관점에서 케이블 구조를 설계하였다.

Parameters of the design on the video codec have been studied using optical fiber transmission technology. And according to the parameters a composite DPCM codec has been designed, which is transmitting an NTSC color TV signal at a 44.736 Mbps. The results of the experiment on the codec will be useful for a better one in the next year

In this paper, the intrinsic birefringence and Faraday rotation of the single mode optical fiber have been investigated. On the analysis, the optical fiber has been modeled as a linear retarder and the intrinsic linear retardation of the fiber is approximatly found to be 2.57 deg/m from the measurement. Faraday ratation was analyzed as perturbation theory and Jones matrix.
