Error Assessment of Attitude Determination Using Wireless Internet-Based DGPS (GIS를 활용한 지진위험도 분석)

  • It is the general consensus that korea is safe from some disasters, particularly earthquake. However, it is not difficult to see the countries considered as safety zones have occasionally experienced a severe earthquakes. In this case, damages and casualties are much serious because they were not prepared for the earthquakes. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a counterplan about an earthquake. In this paper, we analyzed several damages by earthquakes using GIS based methods, and derived a counterproposal. The disasters caused by earthquakes are categorized into three riskiness factors, that is, a building destruction riskiness, a blaze riskiness and a refuge riskiness. Then, it is quantitatively analyzed by the degree of damage so that overall riskiness of the earthquake are assigned. In addition, it was shown that the analysis can be utilized to establish the escape route from the earthquake. It is expected that this study shows an good example of GIS application especially for preventing disasters.

  • Web crawler should maintain fresh data with minimum server overhead for large amount of data in the web sites. The overhead in the server increases rapidly as the amount of data is exploding as in the big data era. The amount of web information is increasing rapidly with advanced wireless networks and emergence of diverse smart devices. Furthermore, the information is continuously being produced and updated in anywhere and anytime by means of easy web platforms, and smart devices. Now, it is becoming a hot issue how frequently updated web data has to be refreshed in data collection and integration. In this paper, we propose dynamic web-data crawling methods, which include sensitive checking of web site changes, and dynamic retrieving of web pages from target web sites based on historical update patterns. Furthermore, we implemented a Java-based web crawling application and compared efficiency between conventional static approaches and our dynamic one. Our experiment results showed 46.2% overhead benefits with more fresh data compared to the static crawling methods.

  • In e-commerce applications, a public key cryptosystem is an important and indispensible element for the basic security operations such as authentication, digital signaturing, and key distribution. In wired network environments, the public key infrastructure certificate, which is based on X.509 specification, has been widely used. On the other hand, it still remains difficult to use the certificate information in wireless network environments due to the inherent limitations of the hand-held devices such as low computational power and short battery life. In this paper, we facilitate a codesign approach by implementing a software public-key cryptosystem and classifying its internal computation overheads quantitatively using a software profiling technique. Moreover, we propose a method to analyze the profiled data and apply it to the problem of software/hardware partitioning in a codesign approach. As an illustrative example, we analyze the computational overheads of an EC-Elfagamal application and examine a critical computational path.

  • The Hilbert transform performs a role to transform band pass signals into low pass signals in wireless communication systems. The operation of Hilbert transform is based on a convolution process which is required adding and multiplying calculations. When the Hilbert transform is designed and hardware-implemented at gate level, the adding and multiplying operation requires a high power consumption and a occupation of wide area on a chip. So the results of adding and multiplying operation cause to degrade the performance of implemented system. In this paper, the new Hilbert transformer is proposed, which has a low hardware complexity by application of MAG(Minimum Adder Graph) algorithm. The proposed Hilbert transformer was simulated in ISE environment of Xilinx and showed the reduction of hardware complexity comparing with the number of gate in the conventional Hilbert transformer.

  • In this paper we present the combination of location based mobile advertisement services and dynamic digital signage markets has been developing recent days to provide consumer admired visual mobile advertisement on all kind transportation vehicles. In spite of that, the digital signage advertisement content management is still not that easy to manage the content dynamically as well operation is most time consuming to handle the contents dynamically in digital signage business. As location based services is most impactful service in shopping, the location responsive advertisement on vehicle signage will be most desirable mobile advertisement to help people migrate from one place to another place for travel or stay. This paper propose a mobile location responsive digital signage system for vehicles using the GPS and wireless infrastructure integrated with digital signage system. This proposed research use the centralized digital signage system architecture for the mobile advertisement application and this system can be expanded to different vehicles for digital advertisement including buses, trucks, train, air vehicle and any other form of mobile advertising vehicles. Also, this present an effective advertisement recommendation algorithm, by which the advertisement can be selected broadcasted for the right advertisement ventures more effectively as the service requested from advertiser. This paper present the emulated experimental result to evidence the proposed dynamic vehicle signage system performed better than compared with traditional signage random advertising. The emulated result proves that the advertisement recommendation algorithm can effectively works out the targeted key audiences in location responsive region the algorithm evaluated.

  • Services system which has been emerging as a new way of application development utilizes services as fundamental units for developing a system. Services system can offer services within web environment as well as the ubiquitous environment where mobile devices are connected to wired or wireless network. In order to provide the functionality that meets users' requirements, the most appropriate service should be selected among candidate services by taking requests and context information into account. Therefore, it is important that the service system should provide services to users by dynamically adapting to users' requirements and context information. Since different users request same functionality with different context information, one service can be differently offered to users so that variability can happen to the service systems. Most researches on context-aware systems have a tendency to solve dynamic adaptation by using more or less ad hoc manner In this paper, we consider various types of services which are performed according to context information as variability and propose adaptable architecture by applying concepts of product line architecture in order to deal with variabilities systematically.

Development of an Wireless Aeronautical Data Link Application System, PDC, for the Korean CNS/ATM (CNS/ATM 구축을 위한 항공 이동 데이터 링크 응용 시스템의 구축에 관한 연구)

  • 항공이동통신분야에서는 아날로그형 음성통신의 한계점을 극복하고, 운용자의 업무 부담을 경감할 목적으로 항공이동데이터통신망(VDL)을 이용한 데이터 통신이 항공운용통신(AOC) 분야에서 발전되었으며, 이를 항공교통서비스(ATS) 분야에 적용하기 위한 연구가 국제민간항공기구(ICAO)의 CNS/ATM 구축 권고에 의하여 미국, 유럽 등 항공 선진국에서 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 항공교통서비스 분야에 VDL을 이용한 데이터 링크 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 디지털형의 출발전비행허가(PDC) 시스템을 개발한 내용의 결과이다. 개발된 PDC 시스템은 하나의 PC급 단일 시스템으로 항공교통관제소, VDL 통신망, 관제사 등이 원격으로 연동되어 실시간 및 동시에 PDC 정보를 처리하여야 한다. 이를 위하여 제안된 기법은 하나의 프로세서에 여러 개의 쓰레드를 갖는 멀티 쓰레드 방식이 도입되어 설계되었다. 멀티 쓰레드 방식이 사용된 이유는 시스템의 간소화, 효율적인 내부 자원의 이용, 데이터 처리에 있어서 우수한 성능을 발휘하기 때문이다. 본 논문은 김포공항 PDC 시스템의 구조 및 설계 내용을 기술하고, 실제 운용 결과에 대한 데이터를 분석하였다. 김포공항 PDC 시스템의 운용결과를 이용한 분석한 결과, 운용초기단계로 모든 항공기에 시스템이 구축되지 않아 매일 평균 25대의 항공기가 운용하여 평균 10%의 이용률을 나타내며, 최대 34대의 항공기가 이용하고 있다. 메시지 송/수신에 걸리는 시간을 분석한 결과, 항공기의 PDC 요청부터 MAS의 수신에 소요되는 시간은 최소 14초부터 최대 983초(16분 23초)까지로써, 평균 122초(2분 2초)의 시간을 나타내었다. 또한 신뢰성을 확인하기 위하여 가용도를 계산한 결과 99.7%로써 상당히 신뢰할 수 있는 수준이었다. 또한, 다중 처리를 위하여 사용된 방식인 멀티 쓰레드 방식이 적절히 동작함을 확인할 수 있었다. 앞으로, 전체 연동 시스템이 자동화로 구축될 경우, PDC의 요청부터 발송 및 확인까지 상당히 짧은 시간 내에 이루어져 관제업무 능률을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다.

  • Computer performance and the development of computer appliances of today have adopted a new shape of concept, "ubiquitous computing." Thus, users can readily obtain access to abundant information as they can utilize the wireless network taking advantage of the ubiquitous concept, which allows usage inhibited by neither time nor location. In this process, the supply and feedback of information tends to be made real in the form of "interactive agent". This interactive agent with the application of artificial intelligence can enhance the reliability of information using friendly characters, and is used as a tool to grasp the intention! and behavior patterns of the users. This paper will take a look at the concept and the definition of the intelligent agent with "added characteristic", and furthermore investigate the potential and the scope of its development analyzing its features and comparing the examples of the domestic market that pursues to generate profits with it.

  • Using the ETC Service, it is now possible to charge a vehicle for driving pass a specific toll booth electronically, without the vehicle even having to slow down. The smart card and card reader used to collect tolls electronically have a serious problem which it dose not have a standard for the ETC system. In this paper, we suggest the ETC system using mobile phone to collect tolls efficiently instead of existing system which is consist of a Interface Module to connect between a mobile phone and OEE, a mobile phone to send the information of tollgate fees and OEE to communication with RSE of roadway in the vehicle. This primary focus of this system is the IM functions and protocol to assist of the existing mobile phone and OBE.

  • This study provide Car driver with car sensor information which is car trouble code in engine and many sensors. This provide car manager with many information of tar sensors when we go to vehicle maintenance. This system consist of embedded linux system which uses RS232 and EML327 for CAN communication of car system. This System can control digital appliances in home network using wireless and ZigBee. Finally this is a lot of application for embedded linux system which get sensor informations of car control sensor system.
