  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationship among self-efficacy, disaster preparedness and self-leadership of university students. Data were collected through questionnaires from 141 students and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, and Pearson's correlation coefficients with the SPSS/WIN 19.0 program. The participant's scores for self-efficacy and self-leadership were 3.51 and 3.53, respectively. Disaster preparedness was significantly correlated with self-efficacy and self-leadership of university students, while self-efficacy was significantly correlated with self-leadership. The results of this study indicate that self-efficacy and self-leadership should be carefully considered when developing an intervention program to improve disaster preparedness among university students.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the evaluation scores among various evaluators such as tutor, peer, and self evaluation, the lenience and central tendency among these various evaluators, and the correlation between evaluation scores among the various evaluators and the paper test score in the Problem-Based Learning (PBL). For the research, tutor, peer, and self evaluations were carried out with PBL effectiveness evaluation tool for the 105 nursing students taking classes using PBL, and paper test was conducted after the PBL class ended. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS WIN (V. 12.0). The study results showed that peer and self evaluation scores were higher than tutor evaluation score. Also lenience and central tendency were higher and stronger in peer and self evaluation than in tutor evaluation. Paper test score had a significant correlation with tutor evaluation score, but not with peer or self evaluation scores.

  • The purpose of this study is to increase efficiency and accuracy in operation of CPR(Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) through comparing accuracy in CPR between group with verbal order and group with non-verbal order given carrying out CPR. This study performed convenience sampling targeting 62 students(31 people for group with non-verbal order, 31 people for group with verbal order) at university where is located in G Province. Survey period was carried out from October 7, 2010 to October 21. Analytical method was made by using SPSS WIN(Version 12.0). As a result of research, the group with non-verbal order was indicated to be higher in accuracy of CPR on artificial respiration and chest compression in several spheres than the group with verbal order. Based on this, the non-verbal order method needs to try to be applied to performing education and skills of CPR in the future. And, even a continuous research is needed on effectiveness between verbal order method and non-verbal order method in an emergency situation.
