  • Normally, Structural light-weight aggregate concrete(LWC) has been main used in high rise building with the object of wight loss. In spite of LWC have the advantage of light-weight, limit the use of strength restrictions by reason that explosive spalling in fire. Especially, LWC is occurred serious fire performance deterioration by explosive spalling. Thus, this study is concerned with fire performance of LWC for the purpose of using PP fibers prevent to explosive spalling. From the experimental test result, LWC is happened explosive spalling.

  • This paper propose an adaptive control of symmetry contribution based generalized symmetry transform. which can be controlled symmetry contribution according to the intensity orientation of two pixels. In the proposed method, we define the C-D(convergent and divergent)plane which represents convergence and divergence region of gradient pairs. and used the gaussian phase wight function, with respect to the distance from the gradient pair to an extreme point, in calculating the symmetry contribution. The proposed method can be detect the object more efficiently by adaptive controlling the cut-off frequency of the gaussian phase wight function. To evaluate a performance of the proposed method, we compare the proposed method and conventional GST method in various images including IR image. we prove that the proposed method have better performance in object detection.

  • In order to identify the growth characterization, the yield and chemical composition of Jeju barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli var. fiurnentacea(Roxb) Wight) based on seeding date in Jeju region, seeding carried out the 10-day intervals from March 27 to September 30 in 2000, respectively. Plant height was 143.2 cm, showing the highest on seeding date, April 6 among that of any other seeding date. On the other hand, those of early and late seeding gradually decrease. Plant height was 119.2 an in May 16 seeding. The results of stem diameter, number of withering leaves, number of leaves and fresh weight per plant were similar to those of the plant heights. The yield of fresh, dry matter forage, crude protein and TDN found the highest on April 6 seeding, 63.5 MT/ha, 13.9 MTha, 1.1 MT/ha, and 7.6 MT/ha, respectively. In early and late seeding, the yield was gradually decreased. In seeding May 16, the yield found .38.2 MTIha in fresh forage, 6.2 MTha in dry matter forage, 0.7 MT/ha in crude protein and 3.7 MTha in TDN, respectively. According to delaying the seeding date, March 27 to May 16, the contents of crude protein (from 7.9 to 10.8%), ether extract (from 4.6 to 6.0%), nitrogen free extract (from 45.1 to 46.5%), and TDN (from 54.2 to 60.8%) were gradually increased, respectively. On the other hand, those of crude fiber (from 28.9 to 25.6%) and crud ash (from 13.5 to 11.2%) were decreased. These results showed that April 6 was the optimum seeding date with the sole object of feed production of Jeju barnyard grass under the environmental condition like as atmospheric phenomena and soil in Jeju region. • Fields experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of various tillage depth (TD) on productivity and quality of C. auriculatum Royle ex Wight from 2005 to 2006. The length of vine was elongated in lower TD treatments as 50 cm longer in 10 cm TD than 30 cm TD, and stem diameter and dry weight had increased in the lower TD. Length, width, and weight of leaves showed the quantitive growth in the lower TD treatments, but the chlorophyll content had increased in the deeper TD treatments. Root number and length had increased in the deeper TD treatments, but the root diameter and decomposed root was increased in the deeper TD. The total yield of root showed the increasing tendency in the deeper TD treatments as 6.2 ton/ha in 10 cm TD and increased as $7{\sim}9%$ in the 20 cm TD treatments.

  • The roots of Pseudarthria viscida (L.) Wight and Arnott. (Leguminosae) are used against various disorders in Indian systems of medicine, namely as anthelmintic, anti-inflammatory, cardiotonic, aphrodisiac, rejuvenating, tonic and as a remedy for cough, asthma, tuberculosis, diarrhoea and alternate fever. The present communication deals with the detailed pharmacognostical evaluation of the root sample using light and confocal microscopy, WHO recommended physico-chemical determinations and authentic phytochemical procedures. he physico-chemical, morphological and histological parameters presented in this paper may be proposed as parameters to establish the authenticity of P. viscida root and may possibly help to differentiate the drug from its other species.

  • This experiment was conducted to compare the fatty acid composition in the backfat and the levels of testosterone and androstenone in the serum of boars, barrows and gilts. The results obrained are summarized as follows : 1. The contents of palmitic acid and stearic acid in the backfat of barrows increased as their body weight increased and the levels of them were higher in barrows than in boars. However, the contents of oleic acid and linoleic acid were lower in barrows than in boars. 2. The levels of testosterone in boars at 70, 90 and 110 kg of body weight were 3.25, 5.66 and 4.5ng/ml respectively, while those of barrows or gilts were 0.01-0.43ng/ml. 3. The level of androstenone in boars at 110kg of body weight was higher(1.04ng/ml) than that at 70kg of body wight(0.44ng/ml), but there was little difference in the levels of it by body weight or age in barrows and gilts.

  • We propose a way to show the inherent learning complexity for the multilayer perceptron. We display the solution space and the error surfaces on the input space of a single neuron with two inputs. The evolution of its weights will follow one of the two error surfaces. We observe that when we use the back-propagation(BP) learning algorithm (1), the wight cam not jump to the lower error surface due to the implicit continuity constraint on the changes of weight. The self-relaxation approach is to explicity find out the best combination of all neurons' two error surfaces. The time complexity of training a multilayer perceptron by self-relaxationis exponential to the number of neurons.

  • The wound healing potential of the methanol extract of Hypericum mysorense Wight and Arn. Leaves (Family: Hypericaceae) was evaluated on different experimental models of wounds in rats. The methanol extract of leaves of Hypericum mysorense (HMM), in the form of ointment in two different concentrations (5% and 10% w/w ointment of aerial part extract in simple ointment base) was evaluated for wound healing potential in excision wound model and incision wound model in rats. Both the concentrations of the methanol extract ointment showed significant responses in both the wound types tested when compared with the control group. The effect produced by the extract ointment, in terms of wound contracting ability, wound closure time, regeneration of tissues at wound site, tensile strength of the wound and histopathological characteristics were comparable to those of a standard drug Nitrofurazone ointment.

  • In this study, simplified methods on measurement and evaluation of heavy-wight impact sound was proposed due to provide easy quality control method to construction engineers. The simplified methods include using of rubber impact ball instead of bang machine, reduced number of measuring and impact positions which is prescribed as over 4 points, using of hand-held sound level meter as a frequency analyser and prediction equation for $L_{i.Fmax.AW}$, single number rating, using $L_{Amax}$, and $L_{Lmax}$ at each frequency band. The results showed that a method of boundary driving and boundary measuring is the most similar to the current rating method.

  • This study has been conducted to investigate the developmental changes of cambial initials and their derivatives in relation to the growing girth of tree in Diosypros kaki and Firmiana simplex. In D. Kaki and F. simplex with typical storeyed cambium, increase in the girth of camium occurred by radial anticlinal division in general, however occasionally the increase was companied by pseudotransverse division. The length of fusiform initials, vessel member, and sieve tube member remained relatively constant throughout the secondary growth but that of fiber showed general tendancy to increase with growing girth of tree. During the girth increase of tree, height and number of ray remained constant in D. kaki, however in F. simplex, height of ray markedly decreased while the number of ray per unit area more or less increased. The secondary ray was originated from the segmentation or division of the side or end of fusiform initials.
