신간척지토양에서 토양염농도, 퇴비 및 추비량 차이가 밀의 수량 및 수량구성요소에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Difference in Soil Salinity, Compost and Additional Fertilizer on the Grain Yield and Yield Components of Wheat in the Newly Reclaimed Tidal Lands in Korea)

  • Recently, upland crops cultivation instead of paddy crops are more popular and highlighted by increase of social demand in agricultural land use. Especially, wheat cultivation for replacing of import food grain are more interested by government, and it is urgently needed that possibility of wheat cultivation is evaluated in the reclaimed tidal land. Crop cultivation is closely related with soil salinity and cultivation method in the reclaimed tidal land. In order to evaluate possibility of wheat cultivation, effect of different application level of compost and nitrogen additional fertilizer, also soil salinity on the grain yield and yield components of three wheat cultivars was studied at the newly reclaimed Saemangeum and Hwanong tidal lands in Korea. $270-300kg\;10a^{-1}$ of grain yield were obtained at the experimental site in the Saemangeum reclaimed tidal land where soil salinity was less than $4dS\;m^{-1}$ during growing periods from December, 2009 to June, 2010. However, almost no grain yield was obtained at the experimental site in the Hwaong reclaimed tidal land, where soil salinity was more than average $8dS\;m^{-1}$ ranged from 2.0 to $25.9dS\;m^{-1}$ during growing period and then salt demage was severe. Yield was significantly different among application level of compost and nitrogen additional fertilizer in the newly reclaimed Saemangeum tidal land. However, it is considered that three cultivars such as Chopum, Chogyung and Geumgang, have similar sensibility to soil salinity and fertilizer level, because there is statistically no difference among ciltivars in Hwaong and Saemangeum, and also among cultivars in the different levels of compost and fertilizer. Finally, it is concluded that wheat can be possibly produced by reasonable fertilizer application in the Saemangeum reclaimed tidal land, but wheat cultivation is impossible because of high soil salinity in the Hwaong reclaimed tidal land.

Effect of Soil Water Stress on Yield and Quality of Korean Wheat

  • Among annual precipitation in Korea (1306.3 mm), 54% of it falls intensively in summer, and only about 12.4% falls in April and May, when the water requirement of wheat is the highest. Korean wheat also could be damaged by soil water excess stress as frozen soil thaws after winter (late Feb-Mar). This study was conducted to evaluate effect of soil water stress on yield and quality of Korean wheat cultivar 'Saegeumgang'. Soil water treatments consisted of 4 treatments; water excess treatment in tilling stage (3.23-3.30), drought treatment in ripening stage (Apr-Jun), irrigation treatment in ripening stage (5.10) and standard condition. There was no significant difference between the treatment conditions for culm length, and the number of spike number was the highest in the order of irrigation in the ripening period (951)> standard cultivation (876)> excess water treatment in the tilling stage (752)> drought treatment in the ripening stage (767/m2). Test weight and Thousand grain weight were 548g/L and 22. lg respectively, which were lower than other treatments, and there was no significant difference between the other treatments. Abortive grain was 5.4kg/10a which was lower than other treatment, and there was no significant difference between the other treatment than other treatments. In drought treatment, protein content was 11.9% which is the highest among all treatments, and SDS-sedimentation value was 27.2ml under drought treatment which was very low compared to other treatments. Therefore, wheat yield and spike number were decreased in excess water condition at tilling stage and drought condition at ripening stage. Furthermore, wheat quality became deteriorate in drought condition at ripening stage.

Genotypic and Environmental Effects on Cookie Quality of Korean Winter Wheat

  • Cookie baking properties and relationships between cookie baking properties and flour characteristics were evaluated for two years, 1997 and 1998, and at two locations, Suwon and Deokso, with Korean winter wheat cultivars and lines. Cookie baking parameters, except for cookie diameter and top grain score, were influenced by locations and years. Chokwang, Suwon 274, Suwon 275, Suwon 277 and Urimil showed larger cookie diameter and excellent top grain score compared to the other Korean winter wheat cultivars and lines. Among the flour characteristics, protein content, damaged starch content, alkaline water retention capacity and flour swelling volume showed high positive correlation coefficients with cookie baking parameters. Friabilin-present lines showed larger cookie diameter, suitable surface structure of cookie and softer snapping force than the friabilin-absent lines.

추파 대.소맥의 조기출수에 따른 개화, 등숙 및 수량성 변화 (Changes in Anthesis, Grain Filling and Grain Yield Accompanied by Hastening of Heading in Winter Wheat and Barley)

  • 추파 대·소맥의 조숙품종의 조기출수에 따른 개화등숙 및 수량성 변화를 구명하고자 대맥품종 조강보리, 밀양6호, 올보리, 동보리 1호 및 부농과 소맥품종 수원210호, 올밀, 조광 및 농림16호 등을 공시포장조건에서 파종기 차이와 장일처리로써 조기출수 및 출수기 차이를 유도하여 본 실험을 수행하여 얻은 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 파종기 및 장일처리에 의해 대·소맥에서 15일 출수기 차이가 유도되었으나, 성숙기는 불과 2∼6밖에 촉진되지 않았다. 2. 조기출수한 경우 출수∼개화 일수 및 등숙일수가 연장되었으며, 출수∼개화 일수 연장이 더 큰 것으로 나타났고, 이들 기간과 평균기온 간에는 각각 고도의 부상관이 있었다. 3. 조기출수만 것일수록 등숙초기의 엽면적은 좁았고, 엽면적유지기간(Leaf area duration)은 컸으며, 순동화율(NAR)은 낮았다. 4. 조기출수한 것에서 천립중은 증가하였으나 종실수량은 현저히 감소하였는데 이는 주로 수수 및 일수입수의 감소에 기인하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 잎새버섯 봉지재배에 적합한 영양원을 구명하기 위하여 밀기울, 건비지 및 맥주박을 다양하게 혼합하여 생육 및 수량특성을 조사한 결과, 수확소요일수는 혼합배지 Mix II가 61.3일로 가장 적었으며, 수량에서는 혼합배지 Mix IV가 142.6g으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 밀기울과 맥주박의 적정 혼합율을 구명하기 위한 시험 결과, 맥주박 첨가율이 높아질수록 수확소요일수가 줄어들었으며, 수량은 맥주박 15%와 밀기울 5% 혼합율 처리에서 140.8 g으로 가장 높게 나타났다.

Nutritional evaluation of total mixed rations containing rice grain in an in vitro rumen fermentation system

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the nutritional value of total mixed rations (TMR) containing rice grain in an in vitro rumen fermentation system. Three types of grains (corn, wheat, and rice), timothy, and soybean meal (SBM) were used to prepare the experimental TMR: Corn TMR, Wheat TMR, and Rice TMR. The rumen fermentation characteristics of all the experimental TMRs were evaluated by an in vitro anaerobic system using rumen fluid for 24 and 48 h. The digestibility of the nutrients (dry matter [DM], crude protein [CP], and neutral detergent fiber [NDF]), pH, ammonia ($NH_3-N$), and volatile fatty acids (VFA) were determined. Rice TMR showed a higher DM digestibility than that of the Corn TMR at 48 h (p < 0.05). In all treatments, the CP digestibility was more than 80% at 48 h, but no significant differences were observed among the treatments. The NDF digestibility tended to be the lowest in the Wheat TMR (p = 0.06), and the pH tended to be the lowest in the Rice TMR (p = 0.09) among the treatments for the 48 h incubation. The Wheat TMR had the highest $NH_3-N$ concentration among the treatments (p < 0.01). Rice TMR had a lowest total VFA concentration among the treatments (p = 0.05) at 24 h, but no significant differences were observed at 48 h. Based on this in vitro result, it was considered that a rice grain has the potential to replace conventional grain ingredients when the TMR was formulated.

Relationships between Genetic Diversity and Fusarium Toxin Profiles of Winter Wheat Cultivars

  • Fusarium head blight is one of the most important and most common diseases of winter wheat. In order to better understanding this disease and to assess the correlations between different factors, 30 cultivars of this cereal were evaluated in a two-year period. Fusarium head blight resistance was evaluated and the concentration of trichothecene mycotoxins was analysed. Grain samples originated from plants inoculated with Fusarium culmorum and naturally infected with Fusarium species. The genetic distance between the tested cultivars was determined and data were analysed using multivariate data analysis methods. Genetic dissimilarity of wheat cultivars ranged between 0.06 and 0.78. They were grouped into three distinct groups after cluster analysis of genetic distance. Wheat cultivars differed in resistance to spike and kernel infection and in resistance to spread of Fusarium within a spike (type II). Only B trichothecenes (deoxynivalenol, 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol and nivalenol) produced by F. culmorum in grain samples from inoculated plots were present. In control samples trichothecenes of groups A (H-2 toxin, T-2 toxin, T-2 tetraol, T-2 triol, scirpentriol, diacetoxyscirpenol) and B were detected. On the basis of Fusarium head blight assessment and analysis of trichothecene concentration in the grain relationships between morphological characters, Fusarium head blight resistance and mycotoxins in grain of wheat cultivars were examined. The results were used to create of matrices of distance between cultivars - for trichothecene concentration in inoculated and naturally infected grain as well as for FHB resistance Correlations between genetic distance versus resistance/mycotoxin profiles were calculated using the Mantel test. A highly significant correlation between genetic distance and mycotoxin distance was found for the samples inoculated with Fusarium culmorum. Significant but weak relationships were found between genetic distance matrix and FHB resistance or trichothecene concentration in naturally infected grain matrices.

밀의 제분에 따른 밀가루 중 농약 가공계수 산출 연구 (Studies for the Processing Factors of Pesticides during the Milling of Wheat Grain)

  • 밀가루의 농약잔류허용기준설정에 필수자료인 밀의 제분공정에 따른 농약의 가공계수를 산출하기 위하여 실시하였다. 이번 연구를 위해 밀에 대한 농약 연간사용량과 검출이력이 있는 azinphos-methyl, chlorpyrifus, chlorpyrifos-methyl, fenitrothion, malathion, trichlorfon를 대상농약으로 선정하였다. 밀에 이들 농약을 밀의 잔류허용기준 수준 정도로 침투시키기 위하여 농약을 첨가된 침지액에 침지하는 방법을 선택하였으며 제분은 pilot plant system에서 수행하였다. 가공계수는 가공 전 밀과 가공 후의 밀가루 및 부산물의 농약잔류량을 분석하여 각 농약 잔류량을 나누어 산출하였다. 분석결과, 밀가루의 가공계수는 각각 azinphos-methyl 0.05, chlorpyrifos 0.06, chlorpyrifos-methyl 0.05, fenitrothion 0.07, malathion 0.07, trichlorfon 0.06이었다. 또한, 분석법 검증을 위해 회수율 실험을 실시하였으며 회수율은 $93.2{\sim}98.6%$, 표준편차는 $0.1{\sim}0.9%$이었다.

수확시기에 따른 맥류 곡실발효사료의 사료가치 및 발효품질 (Effect of Feed Value and Fermentative Quality According to Harvesting Time of Barley and Wheat Grain Silage)

  • 이 연구는 맥류 곡실발효사료 조제를 위한 적정 수확시기 및 수확시기별 곡실 발효사료의 발효품질을 평가하기 위하여 실시하였다. 그 결과, 알곡의 수분함량은 수확시기가 늦어짐에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였고, 이삭비율과 천립중은 맥종별 모두 출수 후 일수가 경과됨에 따라 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 알곡수량은 맥종 모두 수확시기가 늦어질수록 유의적으로 증가하는 경향을 보였다(p<0.05). 조단백질 함량은 수확시기가 늦어질수록 맥종 모두 높아지는 경향을 보였고, 조섬유함량은 낮아지는 경향을 보였으며, 조지방과 조회분 함량은 비슷하거나 약간 낮아지는 경향을 보였지만 통계적인 유의성은 없었다. 곡실사료의 발효 전후 사료가치를 비교하여 보면, 일반성분들이 발효를 거친 후 약간 증가되는 경향은 있었지만 유의적인 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 발효품질 면에서는 공시한 맥종 모두 수확시기가 늦어질수록 pH는 높아지고, 젖산함량은 유의적으로 낮아지는 경향을 보였다(p<0.05). 초산함량은 맥종 모두 수확시기에 따른 차이를 나타내지 않았고, 낙산은 검출되지 않았다. 따라서 수량과 발효품질을 고려할 때, 맥류 곡실사료 조제를 위해서는 겉보리과 쌀보리는 출수 후 35일, 밀은 출수 후 40~45일에 수확하는 것이 적당한 것으로 판단된다.
