Purities of Ordered Ideals of Ordered Semirings

  • We introduce the concepts of the left purity, right purity, quasi-purity, bipurity, left weak purity and right weak purity of ordered ideals of ordered semirings and use them to characterize regular ordered semirings, left weakly regular ordered semirings, right weakly regular ordered semirings and fully idempotent ordered semirings.

On Idempotent Reflexive Rings

  • We introduce in this paper the concept of idempotent reflexive right ideals and concern with rings containing an injective maximal right ideal. Some known results for reflexive rings and right HI-rings can be extended to idempotent reflexive rings. As applications, we are able to give a new characterization of regular right self-injective rings with nonzero socle and extend a known result for right weakly regular rings.

Left Regular and Left Weakly Regular n-ary Semigroups

  • We study the concept of a quasi-ideal and a generalized bi-ideal of an n-ary semigroup; give a construction of the quasi-ideal of an n-ary semigroup generated by its nonempty subset; and introduce the notions of regularities, namely, a left regularity and a left weakly regularity. Moreover, the notions of a right regularity, a right weak regularity and a complete regularity are given. Finally, characterizations of these regularities are presented.

Weakly Prime Ideals in Involution po-Γ-Semigroups

  • The concept of prime and weakly prime ideal in semigroups has been introduced by G. Szasz [4]. In this paper, we define the involution in po-${\Gamma}$-semigroups, then we extend some results on prime, semiprime and weakly prime ideals to the involution po-${\Gamma}$-semigroup S. Also, we characterize intra-regular involution po-${\Gamma}$-semigroups. We establish that in the involution po-${\Gamma}$-semigroup S such that the involution preserves the order, an ideal of S is prime if and only if it is both weakly prime and semiprime and if S is commutative, then the prime and weakly prime ideals of S coincide. Finally, we prove that if S is a po-${\Gamma}$-semigroup with order preserving involution, then the ideals of S are prime if and only if S is intra-regular.

On SF-rings and Regular Rings

  • A ring R is called a left (right) SF-ring if simple left (right) R-modules are flat. It is still unknown whether a left (right) SF-ring is von Neumann regular. In this paper, we give some conditions for a left (right) SF-ring to be (a) von Neumann regular; (b) strongly regular; (c) division ring. It is proved that: (1) a right SF-ring R is regular if maximal essential right (left) ideals of R are weakly left (right) ideals of R (this result gives an affirmative answer to the question raised by Zhang in 1994); (2) a left SF-ring R is strongly regular if every non-zero left (right) ideal of R contains a non-zero left (right) ideal of R which is a W-ideal; (3) if R is a left SF-ring such that $l(x)(r(x))$ is an essential left (right) ideal for every right (left) zero divisor x of R, then R is a division ring.

  • The notion of regularity in near-ring was generalized by the concept of b-regular and some characterizations of the same was obtained through the substructures viz bi-ideals in near-rings. In this paper, we generalize further and introduce tile notion of weakly b-regular near-rings and obtain a characterization of tile same.

One-sided Prime Ideals in Semirings

  • In this paper we define prime right ideals of semirings and prove that if every right ideal of a semiring R is prime then R is weakly regular. We also prove that if the set of right ideals of R is totally ordered then every right ideal of R is prime if and only if R is right weakly regular. Moreover in this paper we also define prime subsemimodule (generalizing the concept of prime right ideals) of an R-semimodule. We prove that if a subsemimodule K of an R-semimodule M is prime then $A_K(M)$ is also a prime ideal of R.

  • In this note we consider the right unit-duo ring property on the powers of elements, and introduce the concept of weakly right unit-duo ring. We investigate first the properties of weakly right unit-duo rings which are useful to the study of related studies. We observe next various kinds of relations and examples of weakly right unit-duo rings which do roles in ring theory.

  • A connection between weak ${\pi}-regularity$ and the condition every prime ideal is maximal will be investigated. We prove that a certain 2-primal ring R is weakly ${\pi}-regular$ if and only if every prime ideal is maximal. This result extends several known results nontrivially. Moreover a characterization of minimal prime ideals is also considered.

WEAKLY LAGRANGIAN EMBEDDING AND PRODUCT MANIFOLDS

  • We investigate when the product of two smooth manifolds admits a weakly Lagrangian embedding. Prove that, if $M^m$ and $N^n$ are smooth manifolds such that M admits a weakly Lagrangian embedding into ${\mathbb}C^m$ whose normal bundle has a nowhere vanishing section and N admits a weakly Lagrangian immersion into ${\mathbb}C^n$, then $M \times N$ admits a weakly Lagrangian embedding into ${\mathbb}C^{m+n}$. As a corollary, we obtain that $S^m {\times} S^n$ admits a weakly Lagrangian embedding into ${\mathbb}C^{m+n}$ if n=1,3. We investigate the problem of whether $S^m{\times}S^n$ in general admits a weakly Lagrangian embedding into ${\mathbb} C^{m+n}$.
