CaO(scallop-shell powder)를 이용한 방울토마토 중 잔류농약 제거 (Removal Efficiency of Residual Pesticides in Mini-Tomatoes by Using CaO(scallop-shell powder))

  • 대표적 8개 유기인계 농약에 대한 tap water 세척의 제거효과인 $-1.25\~13.27\%$에 비해 powder CaO와 liquid CaO 세척은 각각 $5.16\~17.61,\;8.7\~41.59\%$로 매우 높은 농약제거 효과를 보였다. 조개껍질을 연소시켜 얻은 천연 CaO는 잔류농약 세척제로 사용하기에 적합하다고 사료되며,특히 액체가 가루에 비해 농약제거제로 더욱 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 가루제품 역시 tap water로 세척 한 것에 비해서는 다소 높은 제거율을 보여 세척제로서의 사용이 가능한 것으로 판단된다. 이에 CaO등을 활용한 천연물 세척제가 조속히 실용화되어 국민의 안전한 식탁을 지키는데 활용되어야 할 것이다.

오염토양 세척공정에서 모델링을 통한 최적 계면활성제의 선별 (Optimal Surfactant Screening by Model Application for Soil Washing Process)

  • 계면활성제를 이용한 오염 토양의 세척 공법 적용시 오염물질의 분배를 결정할 수 있는 모델을 개발하였다. 이 모델을 활용하여 세척효과를 극대화할 수 있는 계면활성제의 선정 방법, 물 첨가량 효과, 최적 세척 방법을 예시하였다. 오염물질은 naphthalene, phenanthrene, pyrene, 계면활성제는 Triton X-100, Tergitol NP-10, Igepal CA-720, Brij 30을 대상으로 하였다. 동일한 총량의 계면활성제를 사용할 때 물의 첨가량이 증가하더라도 세척효과의 큰 증가 효과가 없었다. 동일한 총량의 물 및 계면활성제를 사용할 경우 1회 세척보다 연속 세척이 더 효과적이었으며, 연속 세척에서 물과 계면활성제를 동일하게 분배하는 것이 최적이었다. 물과 계면활성제 사용량 및 연속세척 회수에 따라 최적 계면활성제의 종류가 달라질 수 있었다. 본 모델 활용기법은 오염토양 세척 공법 적용시 복잡한 실험을 수행하기 이전에 계면활성제의 탐색과 최적 공정 설계에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

음식물쓰레기의 호기성 퇴비화 전과 후의 세척에 따른 염분도와 퇴비화효율 비교 (Comparison of Salinity and Composting Efficiency by Washing before and after Aerobic Composting of Food Wastes)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effects of washing food wastes before aerobic composting on temperature, pH and salinity, and the effects of washing after composting on salinity of sample mixtures. Weight ratios of food wastes to water in washing were 1:0(Control), 1:1(W-1), 1:2(W-2), 1:3(W-3) and 1:0(N-4), respectively. Ratios of food wastes to wood chips in reactor of Control, W-1, W-2, W-3 and N-1 were $5\;kg:0\iota,\;5\;kg:5\iota,\;5\;kg:5\iota,\;5\;kg:5\iota\;and\;5\;kg:5\iota$, respectively. Reactors were operated for 24 days with 1 hour stirring by 1 rpm and 2 hours of forced aeration per day. The increase in the ratio of water to food wastes resulted in the increase of the maximum reaction temperature and the shortening of the high temperature reaction period. The increase in the ratio of water to food wastes also resulted in faster reaching to the lowest pH and then to the steady state of pH 9.0. The final salinities of Control, N-1, W-1, W-2 and W-3 were $1.04\%,\;0.92\%,\;0.78\%,\;0.64\%\;and\;0.53\%$, respectively. The salinities of the N-l samples which were washed by the weight ratios (water:N-l) of 1:1, 2:1 and 3:1 after composting were $0.72\%,\;0.61\%\;and\;0.51\%$, respectively. Therefore, washing food wastes before aerobic composting is more efficient method than that after aerobic composting.

Preparation of Ag-PS and Ag-PSS Particles by ${\gamma}$-Irradiation and Their Antimicrobial Efficiency against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 and Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 4352

  • Polystyrene, PS, particles of 450 nm diameter and poly(styrene-co-styrene sulfonate), PSS, particles of 140-160 nm diameter were prepared by emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization. The surfaces of the PS and PSS particles were coated with Ag nanoparticles for the application of antimicrobial agents by reduction of Ag ions using ${\gamma}$-irradiation. The Ag-PS and Ag-PSS were characterized by High-Resolution Transmittance Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM), Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDXS). The HR-TEM and EDXS data showed that the Ag nanoparticles were loaded on the surface of the PS and PSS particles, respectively. The antimicrobial efficiency of the Ag-PS and Ag-PSS particles (0.4 g) with ca. 100 ppm Ag, which was coated onto yam (KS K 0905-1996 rule), was tested against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 and Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 4352 after 100 washing cycles (KS K 0432-1999 rule). The antimicrobial efficiency of the Ag-PS particles against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 and Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 4352 was 99.9% after 100 cycles washing., confirming that the Ag-PS particles can be used as antimicrobial agents.

면섬유와 케나프섬유를 혼방한 직물과 편성물에 대한 워싱 처리 효과 (Washing Treatment Effects on Cotton and Kenaf Blend Fabrics)

  • Kenaf has a rigid and rough touch that inhibits the use of it as a textile material; therefore, this study developed a novel textile material using kenaf. Kenaf and cotton were blended in the ratio of 3:7 and manufactured as 20' spun yarn that was compared to 20's spun yarn made of 100% cotton. Both kenaf/cotton-blended and 100% cotton spun yarn were constructed as plain woven and knitted fabrics. Four kinds of fabrics were prepared as follows. Plain kenaf/cotton-woven fabrics, plain cotton-woven fabrics, kenaf/cotton jersey, and cotton jersey. A cellulase washing process was carried out to reduce the character of kenaf/cotton-blended fabrics, rigid, and rough touch. All fabrics were pretreated with NaOH. NaOH at the concentrations of 0, 0.25, 1.25, and 2.25mol/L, and cellulase at concentrations of 0, 1, 3 and 5g/L were used since the pretreatment of NaOH has a higher efficiency of weight loss than $Na_2CO_3,\;K2CO_3$ and Triton X-100. The ratio of weight loss, tensile strength, stiffness, drape property, and surface appearance were measured in order to evaluate the efficiency of the washing treatment on fabrics. Kenaf/cotton-blended fabrics exhibited more rigid and rough features than cotton fabrics. A cotton jersey showed significant differences in the degree of stiffness and drape properties. When all fabrics were treated with 1.25mol/L of NaOH and 3g/L of cellulase, kenaf/cotton-blended fabrics showed a higher retention ratio of tensile strength than cotton fabrics after washing despite the increased weight l08s of kenaf-blended fabrics compared to cotton fabrics. The ratio of weight loss for all fabrics was well correlated with flexibility. The washing treatment process made woven fabrics more flexible than knitted fabrics, because the stiffness of woven fabrics made the rubbing actions stronger. Kenaf/cotton-blended fabrics showed a significantly higher ratio of weight loss and more reduction in stiffness than cotton fabrics after the washing treatment. This might be due to the lack of cohesiveness and easy elimination from fabrics. The drape property of kenaf-blended fabrics was superior to cotton fabrics.

이중운전조건을 고려한 외전형 SRM의 구동특성 (Drive Characteristics of Outer-rotor Type SRM Considering Dual Operating Modes)

  • As a direct drive type washing machine requires two operating modes, washing and spinning modes, a design of the motor with high efficiency in each mode is not applicable to a conventional procedure. To achieve the requirements, a multi-pole outer rotor type switched reluctance motors are considered. To select a suitable motor type for the application, a static toque is compared based on the FEM analysis. The selected type is obtained for high and wide toque than other types of the motor. Further, the pole shape and arc are optimized to meet the required torque and torque ripple. To verify the proposed structure, the prototype is designed and manufactured. And the simulation and experimental results verify the validity of the proposed structure.

  • This paper is study for design SOC composing space vector control algorithm of sensorless BLDC motor by H/W and apply this to operating machanism of washing machine system. it is study that increases control efficiency than S/W control algorithm and enhances response for change of system and authoritativeness of controller. 탈수속도 변화에 따른 세탁기 클러치하우징의 강도해석 (Stress Analysis of the Clutch Housing of a Washing Machine)

  • The transmission system of a washing machine which is called by the clutch is one of the most important components to preserve the performance. The clutch housing has a role to guard and mount the transmission system on the frame of the machine. The load which is applied on the clutch housing depends on the operating conditions. Nowadays the dehydration speed is higher and higher in order to improve the efficiency. In this study, the strains on the predicted weak positions were measured using the strain gage and its measuring equipment. The relationships between the dehydration speeds and the maximum principal strains were obtained. Finite element analysis is executed to acquire the effect of the dehydration speed on the stress of the clutch housing. The distributions of the equivalent stress and the maximum stresses under the various speeds, the various loading directions and the various thickness of the clutch housing were obtained.

  • Washed ballast is used on paved track to earn the high quality track performance. But, the water washing system caused the several environment problems such as the noise, dust and water pollution. Even if the washing is performed, it is difficult to earn the high quality because of the low efficiency of the water washing system. So, we developed the dry cleaning type machine to solve these problems. This machine excludes using the water completely. Especially, it is possible to organize on the conventional ballast cleaning train set.

  • The washing machine needs high torque for large load variation, Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) is proper to adapt the washing machine system. However, IPMSM can operate the lower output power than the other permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) when the motor control by the conventional control. This paper suggests adaptive motor control for IPMSM and experiments the washing machine system.
