Win-Loss Prediction Using AOS Game User Data

  • E-sports, a burgeoning facet of modern sports culture, has achieved global prominence. Particularly, Aeon of Strife (AOS) games, emblematic of E-sports, blend individual player prowess with team dynamics to significantly influence outcomes. This study aggregates and analyzes real user gameplay data using statistical techniques. Furthermore, it develops and tests win-loss prediction models through machine learning, leveraging a substantial dataset of 1,149,950 individual data points and 230,234 team data points. These models, employing five machine learning algorithms, demonstrate an average accuracy of 80% for individual and 95% for team predictions. The findings not only provide insights beneficial to game developers for enhancing game operations but also offer strategic guidance to general users. Notably, the team-based model outperformed the individual-based model, suggesting its superior predictive capability.

  • Previous performance evaluation focusing on objective data of service agency has the limitations that did not reflect user-centered evaluation. With the expansion of voucher service, importance of perspective of service user such as satisfaction index is increasing. As voucher service has been delivered by the financial burden of government and user, we need the performance evaluation system that reflects the both performance indices to meet the accountability of two stake-holders. So this study focuses on deriving integrated evaluation system developing systems what mixed objective and subjective performance. Data used in this study is collected form 70 social service agencies that deliver voucher service and 1445 service users. Using General Satisfaction Index and Efficiency Index by DEA, this study analysed the correlation between efficiency and satisfaction index, and integrated performance evaluation model is constructed through portfolio map. This study has the following implication. This study theoretically explains the relation of objective performance and subjective performance and gives practical guidance in performance evaluation criterion and interpretation of performance.

  • This study intends to provide guidance for library design and assessment by eliciting the emotional vocabulary related to academic library space. In order to accomplish the goal of this study, 12 major emotional vocabularies related to academic library space were derived through 5 stages of extraction and refinement processes. Literature search and analysis of preceding research, focus group interview and survey of academic librarians and users of the academic library, evaluation of similarity through KJ Method, etc., selected 12 adjectives of emotional vocabulary as follows: diverse, satisfactory, necessary, full, clean, stable, appropriate, harmonious, open, warm, natural, and excellent.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the historical changes of information literacy instruction in Japanese school libraries and in-depth research into recent educational situations. Related literature researches, the publication of School Library Association, The Courses of Study have been reviewed in this paper. As results of this research, information literacy education in Japanese school library has been developed from introductory period of the library use guidance after late 1940's, seek period of teaching method development after late 1950's, establishment period of information literacy instruction after 1980's, and enlargement period of inquiry based learning after 2000's.

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is indispensable for companies in recent business environment, in which the customers are recognized as more valuable asset to increase the earning power of enterprise. For gaining competitive advantage, most companies want to maintain existing customer relationships and generate more profits with customers through long-term relationships. In this study, we developed the models which are designed to select CRM systems in financial institution, which is one of competitive sectors and undergoes rapid changes due to M&A(Merger and acquisition), innovation and reengineering in Korea. The selection model of CRM systems for financial institution was developed utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the expert's knowledge were built up of three groups; researcher group, developer group, and user group. We found that there are significant deferences for the weights of criteria in our selection model according to the kind of experts. This study provides helpful guidance on how to assign appropriate weights to each criteria in selection models when financial institution introduce the CRM systems.

  • In recent years, interest in various virtual currencies has been increasing, starting with bit coin, and investment and trading of virtual currencies are being activated. However, since the price of virtual money is unstable and the rate of change of the price is very large, frequent confirmation of the amount of money is required, so that virtual money investors often have to check the virtual money market. Therefore, in this paper, we expect that it will reduce the wasted time on the exchange by using the price information guidance system that collects the virtual currency price information data and express it in RGB, and only the system user can understand the data expression and support the confidentiality.

Study on Real-time Parallel Processing Simulator for Performance Analysis of Missiles (유도탄 성능분석을 위한 실시간 병렬처리 시뮬레이터 연구)

  • In this paper, we describe the real-time parallel processing simulator developed for the use of performance analysis of rolling missiles. The real-time parallel processing simulator developed here consists of seeker emulator generating infrared image signal on aircraft, real-time computer, host computer, system unit, and actual equipments such as auto-pilot processor and seeker processor. Software is developed from mathematic models, 6 degree-of-freedom module, aerodynamic module which are resided in real-time computer, and graphic user interface program resided in host computer. The real-time computer consists of six TIC-40 processors connected in parallel. The seeker emulator is designed by using analog circuits coupled with mechanical equipments. The system unit provides interface function to match impedance between the components and processes very small electrical signals. Also real launch unit of missiles is interfaced to simulator through system unit. In order to apply the real-time parallel processing simulator to performance analysis equipment of rolling missiles it is essential to perform the performance verification test of simulator.

Perception based video anticipation generation (선택적 주의 기법 기반의 영상의 기대효과 자동생성)

  • Anticipation effect has been used as a traditional skill to enhance the dynamic motion of the traditional 2D animation. Basically, anticipation means the action of opposite direction which performs before the real action step. In this paper, we propose the perception-based video anticipation method to guide a user's visual attention to the important region. Using the image based attention map, we calculate the visual attention region and then combine this map with temporal saliency of video. We apply the anticipation effect in these saliency regions using the blur kernel. Using our method, we can generate the dynamic video motion which has attentive guidance.

  • This is a user study of the public access to the Internet at public libraries in Busan and Kyungnam province. The mainstream of users was identified as a typical 'information rich'. It was found that public libraries were not successful in leading the traditional non-users into the libraries with public access to the Internet in libraries. For users the most attractive feature of the service was the fact that it was given for free, while they were not value the professional guidance of librarians. Upgrade of hardwares and telecommunication infrastructure was at the highest priority of the users want list, Some strategies for the public access to the Internet at public libraries were proposed.

Transforming School Library Materials into Images and Digital Forms (학교도서관의 매체변환에 관한 이론과 실제)

  • The major role of school librarians in Korea has been providing reading guidance and library user education with paper resources. However, digital users have become more ubiquitous and demand more information with the images and digital materials. Therefore, school libraries need to collect more images and digital materials. At the same time, school librarians have to equip themselves with the ability to cope with this transformation. The qualified school librarians not only should have a teaching certificate but also know about techniques to transform various library materials into digital formats. Teachers and students could use these materials for their Web site homepages and Powerpoint presentations.
