There has been significant movements in the provision of equal access to library and information services for persons with disability. This study aimed to analyze the use and needs of library services of disabled people with a survey. The survey data revealed that the majority of disabled persons did not visit library and not experience library sol-vices. The main reason was reported that they had poor information about the library services. Also, they did not satisfy the variety, sufficiency, accessibility, up-to-dateness of the materials in general. And there were difference of favorite programs and needs among different kinds of the disabled. Therefore, active guidance and public relations about library services. improvement of accessibility for the disabled by building digital collection, resource sharing and extension of services by building library cooperation network, and the arrangement of librarians for the disabled and education for them should be back up for improving library services for the disabled.

Recent studies on XML filtering assume that all data sources follow a single global schema defined in a filtering system. However, beyond this simple assumption, a filtering system can provide a service that allows data publishers to have their own schema; hence, the data sources will become heterogeneous. The number of data sources is expected to be large in a filtering system and the data sources are frequently published, updated, and disappeared, that is, dynamic. In this paper, we introduce implementing a simple and efficient XPath query translation method for such a dynamic environment. The method is especially targeted for a query which is composed based only on users' knowledge and experience without a graphical guidance of the global schema. When a user queries a large number of heterogeneous data, there is a high possibility that the query is not consistent with the same local schema assumed by the user. Our query translation method also supports a function for this problem. Some experimental results for query translation performance have shown that our method has reasonable performance, and is more practical than the existing method.

Smart mobility is rapidly emerging as a next-generation eco-friendly transportation system, and the market is booming every year. However, due to the characteristics of the devices that use electricity as the power source, the motor and the battery are different from the performance and actual performance indicated by the manufacturer depending on the user's weight and driving environment. Therefore, The frequency of the overload is increased and the failure and damage of the device are increasing. In this paper, we propose an application that provides personalized recommended driving guidance and overloaded driving situation notification at the actual driving separately from the recommended driving provided by the manufacturer after measuring the driving environment of the user, so as to prevent malfunction and damage of the smart mobility device, To ensure safety.

Purpose Recently the usage of Mobile Instant Messenger(MIM) has been increased all over the world. With the development of Mobile Internet, a large amount of mobile application came into being, such as WeChat, the most popular MIM now in China. It has a huge number of registered users, but just only half of them are the "active users". This study intends to examine what factors affect MIM user's continuance intention and actual usage behavior. Design/Methodology/Approach Based on the framework of Perception/Emotion-Behavior and the extended ECM-ISC (Expectation Confirmation Model of IS Continuance), this research introduced some unique variables to a user satisfaction model focusing on perceived/emotional factors in WeChat. In this model, perceived/emotional factors have been divided into enabler factors and inhibitor factors to analyze the effect on continuance intention and actual usage behavior. Also, the moderate effect of the habits was discussed. An online questionnaire survey of 203 WeChat users was conducted and the empirical validation was employed to test the research model. Findings From the empirical results, perceived usefulness, expectation confirmation, and needs for affiliation significantly affected satisfaction. Also, satisfaction influenced continuance intention which led to actual usage behavior. We found that the habit moderates the relationship between satisfaction and continuance intention. The result of this study provides guidance to the developers and operators of WeChat on how to improve enhance users' satisfaction and loyalty.

The purpose of this research was to derive a expansive curriculum management measure by analyzing the curriculum on the field of library and information service. To fulfill this goal, five major South Korean universities and four major US graduate schools were selected for comparison of the curriculum on information service. In addition, the research analyzed the required examination subjects for the employment of librarians of public library. The comparison was conducted to comprehend the curricular contents of an academic information service; the latter was to identify the curricular contents of information service required by the libraries. the analysis showed that the field of academic information service included the knowledge on the information source of each area(collection development, subject bibliography, etc.) and the knowledge on user analysis(information service, user-study, reading guidance, etc.) Moreover, the employment requirement of the manager-level national examination demanded a comprehensive knowledge on information service theories, subject sources and users. The findings confirmed the need to strengthen the special subject service education in the information service curriculum.

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the user's using status and the perception of librarian gathered through a survey of university library cooperation, in order to address the problem and to suggest a solution for it. The questionnaires are consisted of population characteristics, a satisfaction of the library information material, awareness of the library cooperative activities, user's experiences and application degree of them, and the needs for the improvement of the activities. ANOVA, t-test and chi-square test were used for examination of hypothesis in the study. In conclusion, users satisfaction of information materials having in their library was lower than 50% and they were not aware of library cooperative activities. However, they agreed on the need of the service with the high percentage. Librarians were aware that the lack of information materials which pointed out by users, and recognized that they have not given them enough informations as well as guidance for the library cooperation.

This study presents the development of an advanced multiple database-enabled design module for high-rise buildings (DEDM-HR), which seamlessly pools databases of multiple high frequency base balance measurements from geographically dispersed locations and merges them together to expand the number of available building configurations for the preliminary design. This feature offers a new direction for the research and professional communities that can be utilized to efficiently pool multiple databases therefore expanding the capability of an individual database and improving the reliability of design estimates. This is demonstrated, in this study, by the unprecedented fusion of two major established databases, which facilitates interoperability. The DEDM-HR employs a cyberbased on-line framework designed with user-friendly/intuitive web interfaces for the convenient estimation of wind-induced responses in the alongwind, acrosswind and torsional directions with minimal user input. In addition, the DEDM-HR embeds a novel feature that allows the use of wind characteristics defined in a code/standard to be used in conjunction with the database. This supplements the provisions of a specific code/standard as in many cases guidance on the acrosswind and torsional response estimates is lacking. Through an example, results from several international codes and standards and the DEDM-HR with the embedded features are compared. This provision enhances the scope of the DEDM-HR in providing an alternative design tool with nested general provisions of various international codes and standards.

In this research, analysis based on VR journalism outlet the New York Times' was carried out. The image analysis of was done through the frames of angle, shot (size, length, movement), and limited user-directed interaction (point, sound). The result of this is as follows. Firstly, the direction was done using a basis of normal and low angles. Secondly, it was able to be confirmed that the shooting was done in order by medium, full, and long shot. Thirdly, with regard to the length of the shot, most direction was done through long takes. Fourthly, most images came to consist of fixed shots. Lastly, this is limited user-directed interaction. This may be separated into 2 aspects: sound, and movement of the independent free agent. Through these, interaction was guided through free point of view concerning realistic situations to point of view guidance and users. This research may be referred to as foundational research for the further advancement of in-depth discussion pertaining to VR journalism.

This study aims to find an optimal method for the mobile map application to provide directions by analyzing users' behavior in wayfinding and the information referenced in the direction-finding tasks. The mobile application provided information such as 'the name of the store on the first floor,' 'current location and directions to proceed if there are multi-branching roads,' and 'alleyways.' In the visual representation of information, the application should pay attention to 'landmark elements such as subway station exits and bus stops,' 'the color of crosswalks and overpasses,' 'division between sidewalks and driveways,' and 'entry to the subway stations.' For the mobile map application to provide intuitive interaction, it is necessary to specify 'the direction toward the destination,' 'the possible rotation of the map screen,' and 'the big roads' preference guidance.'

The purpose of this study is to develop the public library programs that support the needs of multicultural families by examining the details of their information needs, focusing on the children's education issues of multicultural families. For this purpose, the data on experiences and needs related to the education of multicultural families' children were collected through in-depth interviews with married immigrant women. The study found the following six types of children's education-related needs of multicultural families: 1) Lack of understanding about the educational system and situation of Korean schools, 2) Their children's needs for language and learning 3) Their children's Bilingual education 4) Educational information for the role of parents, 5) Prejudice and discrimination against their children at school 6) Supporting library awareness and experience of mulitcultural families. Based on these needs, the following programs were suggested: 1) Parent role program for children's education, 2) Children's learning program, 3) Children's language education program, 4) Multicultural understanding education, 5) Library user education and guidance.
