  • To study the clothing names has been one of the research subjects in the history of clothing since the name could be the basic tool to understand the clothing. In the past, the name of clothing were used in Chinese character which is hieroglyphic. Each character of Chinese has special meaning. They had been changed into Korean after Korean characters were invented. During the period when they were changed into Korean, some of them retained the original meaning while others widened the original meaning. Some of them even translated into totally different meaning.

  • To build a Korean wordnet, we translated semi-automatically the English wordnet PWN into Korean verbs. During this process, we found that some of translation errors are related to the arbitrariness of PWN`s sense distinction in regard to the accusativity/inaccusativity of the same verb form in English. This study presents an empirically based method of remodeling the PWN for Korean wordnet and while revising the PWN`s hierarchical structure, it shows the necessity of classifying the Korean passive verbs as semantically autonomous.

  • An approach to efficient implementation of real-time control systems is presented in this paper. A compiler for translation of control algorithms is used in combination with a general program for real-time control. The compiler translates control algorithms written for the simulation in a design language to an implementation language. The translated algorithms are then automatically incorporated in the real-time control program.

  • Robot programming has been discussed in detail during the recent years. Numerous studies in particular presented relevance, solution concepts and implementation of off-line programming. In this paper a new user-friendly robot programming method is introduced, which permits the implicit description and programming of assembly process. On the functional level of programming, the assembly processes are described in terms of their operational functions. On the language level, the individual functions are then translated into commands for the robots.

  • The Auto Tuning Controller is designed using Fuzzy set theory. And to verify its validity it is Applied to the Auto Tuner of hydraulic Control System. Fuzzy Tuning Procedures are written by linguistic model and translated into C language formation by preprocessor. Then it is executed with state feedback controller in real time, Fuzzy Logic Controller adjusts state feedback gain by proper tuning logic in each step to satisfy the desired maximum overshoot and settling time.

  • This paper describes the development of training simulator for Hadong fossil Power Plant. The simulator was developed to train operator, test new control Logic and evaluate alternative operating procedure for expert engineer of control system. The most control logics such as Siemens TELEPERM ME and GE Mark V are translated directly from microprocessors. Those HMI are also directly emulated. The simulation was performed by ProTRAX modeling software. The paper discusses the configuration of simulator and the simulation results of 30%, 50%, 75% and 100% normal rate load test.

  • In this paper, we research contents of the ancient book ; Dae-su-sul (Algebra) compiled by Heng-Fang Hua(華衡芳) and translated by John Fryer(傅蘭雅). We find methods of calculation and algorithm in the first and second volume of Dae-su-sul, and investigate the influence on modern Korean mathematical development.
